I had a wonderful overnight in Wilmington and am happy I chose Dreamers. The quaint little town was walkable, and I loved being surrounded by the staely homes. The owenrs were very kind and accomodating. Breakfast was outstanding and they gave me a parking pass so that I was able to park right in front of the gorgeous building. And the bed- wow! I slept great and will def be back.

I LOVED my stay here. I was in town for a concert, but also wanted to walk around downtown and visit the beach. This was a perfect location. The check-in process was easy and the directions were clear. Additionally, it was easy to get in touch with staff to ask questions. The home was beautiful. I loved my room, it was just what I needed with thoughtful touches and lots of natural sunlight streaming through the windows. The grounds were nice and there was a porch with seating and a hammock. The breakfast was really good - I especially liked the mochi waffle and the scrambled egg with bell pepper. I absolutely want to stay here again when I’m in Wilmington.

Historic house in beautiful area with loads of character and updated with plenty of comforts. Very walkable to downtown Wilmington and the river walk. Hostess is very responsive, very friendly, very efficient and a great breakfast maker. Everything was comfortable and we loved the wrap around porch and the gardens.

We had a wonderful stay at Dreamers BnB. We chose the "run of the house option" which means we automatically got upgraded to the Romantic Suite for the same price as a smaller room. Our suite was in the bottom floor & had views of the garden all around. The bathroom was huge (almost as big as the main room!) and had lots of plants inside too. The room was nicely decorated & the bed was comfy. The check-in was remote, but the innkeeper responded quickly to questions. You have the option to pay for parking, but we easily found free on-street parking just a half a block down on a perpendicular street. But the real star of the show was the breakfast! It changed daily, but was always delicious! It started with a "sweet" platter to share & could range from pancakes to pastries and always included fruit. The 2nd course was individually plated and usually had a form of eggs, meats, plus veggies / potatoes. My husband isn't normally a breakfast person, but he was raving about the food. Just a few streets up from downtown, the location is great & easily walkable. We would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful property, fabulous decoration in the best location in Wilmington - you can walk everywhere. It didn’t bother me, but I think there are 2 things that should be more clear before reservation: 1) there’s no elevator (which is obvious considering this is a house from the 1800’s). But it may be challenging if you have luggage or can’t climb stairs. 2) vegan breakfast is served starting at 8:00 am. Again, it was ok with me, but for someone with an early day start or meeting, that could be a problem. Again, I had a great stay and would highly recommend!

Top floor and no elevator. Very noisy air conditioner so it was hard to sleep (thermostat was outside of the room to shut it off). Breakfast was vegan, which we didn’t mind, but only 3 choices. This is not a hotel or b&b that caters to everyone or different generations

Unique bed and breakfast located near the walkable waterfront. The gardens, the porch, and the rooms are absolutely beautiful! Breakfast has gluten free and vegan options. You will not be disappointed in this choice.

Nice large rooms with plenty of amenities. Good breakfast. You are asked to park on the street half a block away, but the area is very safe. The hotel is operating out of a old historical house. I have to climb up 3 flights of stairs to reach my room. Do not recommended it for travelers with disabilities.

I LOVE this place!! I’ve stayed many times over the years, and it’s such a lovely, quiet place to relax and rejuvenate. The property is gorgeous, with an enormous front porch and crazy lush gardens! The owners and staff are so very kind and accommodating. Not only are the rooms a PERFECT retreat, the property is nestled among the most gorgeous historic homes in downtown Wilmington. Walk just a few blocks to the waterfront and all of downtown! Awesome restaurants, coffee shops bars.

The place was wonderful: great location, well maintained and clean. But the service was exceptional - Sherry is an incredible host, attentive to every detail and wish. She prepares a fantastic breakfast and accommodated our every wish and need without being in our space often, like at some hotels. Absolutely zero downsides to our stay - we highly recommend and would definitely return when our plans take us back to Wilmington.

The property needs some updates and attention, especially for the rate. We came in to a very hot room. There’s only one vent in the room and lots of windows making it like a greenhouse. Luckily it is fall and so at night opening all the windows works for keeping it cool enough. I adjusted the AC in the hall but it never seemed to cool the room we were in below 80. A smoke detector battery was low and so the smoke detector was loudly beeping every minute. We alerted the staff as soon as we were in for the night, around 8pm. They told us they couldn’t come out and the host was gone and just to remove it. Luckily my husband was barely tall enough to reach it when standing on a stool in the room. The next day they came to replace it. We got back after a wedding and the smoke detector was beeping again. My husband again had to pull it down and said it had the same battery as before. They didn’t even change the battery. I told the staff and they said they would take care of it. Not one single word of apology for any of it. Also, the bathroom window did not close and continued to bang back and forth with the wind. That’s a lot of issues for a place that is demanding luxury hotel prices. I’m all for a fun experience and the quirks of historic charm, but I’ve stayed in hostels with less maintenance issues.

The building and the location are wonderful. Dreamers is located in a beautiful Victorian house. Once you enter, the atmosphere is ultra modern/minimalist. The “living room” had 1 chair and a couch that is very deep, low, and uncomfortable. The breakfast room is also very small. The main communication with staff is by text. The owners/managers do not stay on site. We were assured that if there was an after hours problem, a text would bring them to the site in a matter of minutes because they didn’t live very far. The room itself was also uncomfortable: one chair and a bench that were both very hard. There was no dresser just a shelf or your suitcase for 2 people for four days. The bed was marshmallow soft so, you couldn’t sit on the edge to put your shoes on. The bathroom was disconcerting: little space for toiletries, the tissue was located 2 feet from the toilet, and there was a lovely high-sided claw foot tub with no mat to prevent slips and no grab bars.I recently had a knee replaced and I am short so climbing was not a possibility. I showered at my son’s house. On the whole (and esthetics aside), Dreamers is cold, devoid of hospitality, and very difficult to navigate if you have any kind of disability. There are no handrails on the steep porch stairs, the tub is difficult, and the comfort is minimal. In addition, there appeared to be mold in the bathroom (see photo), the numerous plants were unwatered and dying, and there were numerous extra charges.

The house is absolutely gorgeous! Everything was fantastic. The only complaint was theres a fairly big crack in the wall in our room. But everything else was really nice and we would love to come back!

This was a very charming place. The location is fantastic. We were very pleased with the host as well. The one downfall is the tub was not thoroughly clean and the shower was dirty as well. But would definitely go back, if they would make sure those areas are cleaner.

The inn is beautiful and clean. The staff communicates mainly via text so you don't have any hassles. When you need something simply text the number given to you upon booking and your needs will be taken care of. I was cold the first night so I texted the next day (they texted first to ask if I needed anything) and said it was cold so they gave me permission to change the temperature on the thermostat that was outside my door. This made it perfect! The bed was very soft and the pillows were perfect texture like a cloud. Everything was extremely clean, which is of the upmost importance. This is not a negative, but something renters should be aware of. When looking for the inn at night, be on the lookout that it is a house, not a typical hotel. The sign is very small and on the front gate so if you arrive at night you may miss the black sign with small white writing. It is a few blocks from the convention center but in what seems to be a residential area so it is nice and quiet. The vegetation in the garden is beautiful and feels tropical. There is also a hammock outside for relaxing. I would call this, the perfect stay! I would definitely recommend this perfect inn to anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing, atmosphere that is near all the amenities.

Although I was initially taken aback that the space was smaller than appeared online and that there was no in-room frig or coffee pot, I fell in love with the space. Upon entering Dreamers,I found the ambient music and aromatic scent soothing and inviting. Check in was quick and efficiently done via iPad until I was greeted by Oceana. She graciously brought in my bags, set them in the room, helped me put my refrigerated items in a mini frig designated by a magnet matching the shape on my room door. Communication via text was consistent and responsive. At no point did I feel as if I needed something and didn’t get it. The room itself was beautiful! I had not been sleeping well for over a month, but I immediately fell asleep as soon as I crawled between the covers, laying on a magically comfy mattress cover and firm pillows. The lighting was sparse and positioned throughout the room with minimalist yet artsy lamps. The ac was perfect but the retro mini fan was just as powerful. Also in the room was a diffuser with an aromatic essential oil named foe one of the Dreamers, Traveler. There was also a glass carafe of cool fresh water with 2 stemmed water glasses on a table in front of one of the windows near a comfy reading chair. The bathroom? OMG! Rainfall shower with bear claw tub. Knobs adjusted water flow: tub, shower, or handheld. The sink was marvelous. There were also short descriptions of accessories and the cost in case I wanted to purchase. All in all, I loved the Dreamer

It was an old home, which I loved. But, it was decorated modern, nice flare! The breakfasts were delicious,5 star. Our room was large, especially the bathroom.
It was an old home, which I loved. But, it was decorated modern, nice flare! The breakfasts were delicious,5 star. Our room was large, especially the bathroom.

The BnB was very lovely. They were very accommodating during check in and always texted me back when I had questions. The decor was modern chic minimalist! Which I loved. The room was very large! Good natural light, comfy bed, nice size TV too.The only thing was the bathroom lighting was a little dim. It wan't a huge concern just a bit of a challenge to put on make-up :). I would definitely recommend!!

Very comfortable rooms, cozy and clean. Slept better there than I have at home in a while. Made me realize it’s time for a new mattress. The Hostess was very kind/ helpful and kept the room flawless. Will definitely use Dreamers on our next trip to Wilmington.

We had a wonderful stay at Dreamers BnB. We chose the "run of the house option" which means we automatically got upgraded to the Romantic Suite for the same price as a smaller room. Our suite was in the bottom floor & had views of the garden all around. The bathroom was huge (almost as big as the main room!) and had lots of plants inside too. The room was nicely decorated & the bed was comfy. The check-in was remote, but the innkeeper responded quickly to questions. You have the option to pay for parking, but we easily found free on-street parking just a half a block down on a perpendicular street. But the real star of the show was the breakfast! It changed daily, but was always delicious! It started with a "sweet" platter to share & could range from pancakes to pastries and always included fruit. The 2nd course was individually plated and usually had a form of eggs, meats, plus veggies / potatoes. My husband isn't normally a breakfast person, but he was raving about the food. Just a few streets up from downtown, the location is great & easily walkable. We would definitely stay here again!

Although I was initially taken aback that the space was smaller than appeared online and that there was no in-room frig or coffee pot, I fell in love with the space. Upon entering Dreamers,I found the ambient music and aromatic scent soothing and inviting. Check in was quick and efficiently done via iPad until I was greeted by Oceana. She graciously brought in my bags, set them in the room, helped me put my refrigerated items in a mini frig designated by a magnet matching the shape on my room door. Communication via text was consistent and responsive. At no point did I feel as if I needed something and didn’t get it. The room itself was beautiful! The lighting was sparse and positioned throughout the room with minimalist yet artsy lamps. The ac was perfect but the retro mini fan was just as powerful. Also in the room was a diffuser with an aromatic essential oil named for one of the Dreamers, Traveler. There was also a glass carafe of cool fresh water with 2 stemmed water glasses on a table in front of one of the windows near a comfy reading chair. The bathroom? OMG! Rainfall shower with bear claw tub. Knobs adjusted water flow: tub, shower, or handheld. Can’t forget the Google cast through which you can stream music and the TV “hidden” under a beautiful had crafted throw. There were also short descriptions of accessories and the cost in case I wanted to purchase. All in all, I loved the Dreamer by DW.

The building and the location are wonderful. Dreamers is located in a beautiful Victorian house. Once you enter, the atmosphere is ultra modern/minimalist. The “living room” had 1 chair and a couch that is very deep, low, and uncomfortable. The breakfast room is also very small. The main communication with staff is by text. The owners/managers do not stay on site. We were assured that if there was an after hours problem, a text would bring them to the site in a matter of minutes because they didn’t live very far. The room itself was also uncomfortable: one chair and a bench that were both very hard. There was no dresser just a shelf or your suitcase for 2 people for four days. The bed was marshmallow soft so, you couldn’t sit on the edge to put your shoes on. The bathroom was disconcerting: little space for toiletries, the tissue was located 2 feet from the toilet, and there was a lovely high-sided claw foot tub with no mat to prevent slips and no grab bars.I recently had a knee replaced and I am short so climbing was not a possibility. I showered at my son’s house. On the whole (and esthetics aside), Dreamers is cold, devoid of hospitality, and very difficult to navigate if you have any kind of disability. There are no handrails on the steep porch stairs, the tub is difficult, and the comfort is minimal. In addition, there appeared to be mold in the bathroom (see photo), the numerous plants were unwatered and dying, and there were numerous extra charges.

Top floor and no elevator. Very noisy air conditioner so it was hard to sleep (thermostat was outside of the room to shut it off). Breakfast was vegan, which we didn’t mind, but only 3 choices. This is not a hotel or b&b that caters to everyone or different generations

We stayed here for 4th of July weekend and loved it! It was so quiet and relaxing! The room and shared spaces were great! The staff were always readily available and super accommodating! Even had beach chairs for us to use:)

Historic house in beautiful area with loads of character and updated with plenty of comforts. Very walkable to downtown Wilmington and the river walk. Hostess is very responsive, very friendly, very efficient and a great breakfast maker. Everything was comfortable and we loved the wrap around porch and the gardens.

The place was wonderful: great location, well maintained and clean. But the service was exceptional - Sherry is an incredible host, attentive to every detail and wish. She prepares a fantastic breakfast and accommodated our every wish and need without being in our space often, like at some hotels. Absolutely zero downsides to our stay - we highly recommend and would definitely return when our plans take us back to Wilmington.

The property needs some updates and attention, especially for the rate. We came in to a very hot room. There’s only one vent in the room and lots of windows making it like a greenhouse. Luckily it is fall and so at night opening all the windows works for keeping it cool enough. I adjusted the AC in the hall but it never seemed to cool the room we were in below 80. A smoke detector battery was low and so the smoke detector was loudly beeping every minute. We alerted the staff as soon as we were in for the night, around 8pm. They told us they couldn’t come out and the host was gone and just to remove it. Luckily my husband was barely tall enough to reach it when standing on a stool in the room. The next day they came to replace it. We got back after a wedding and the smoke detector was beeping again. My husband again had to pull it down and said it had the same battery as before. They didn’t even change the battery. I told the staff and they said they would take care of it. Not one single word of apology for any of it. Also, the bathroom window did not close and continued to bang back and forth with the wind. That’s a lot of issues for a place that is demanding luxury hotel prices. I’m all for a fun experience and the quirks of historic charm, but I’ve stayed in hostels with less maintenance issues.

The inn is beautiful and clean. The staff communicates mainly via text so you don't have any hassles. When you need something simply text the number given to you upon booking and your needs will be taken care of. I was cold the first night so I texted the next day (they texted first to ask if I needed anything) and said it was cold so they gave me permission to change the temperature on the thermostat that was outside my door. This made it perfect! The bed was very soft and the pillows were perfect texture like a cloud. Everything was extremely clean, which is of the upmost importance. This is not a negative, but something renters should be aware of. When looking for the inn at night, be on the lookout that it is a house, not a typical hotel. The sign is very small and on the front gate so if you arrive at night you may miss the black sign with small white writing. It is a few blocks from the convention center but in what seems to be a residential area so it is nice and quiet. The vegetation in the garden is beautiful and feels tropical. There is also a hammock outside for relaxing. I would call this, the perfect stay! I would definitely recommend this perfect inn to anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing, atmosphere that is near all the amenities.

Dreamers was AMAZING!! Sherry took great care of everyone, she is so nice and helpful. First solo trip and the location of Dreamers is everything that you need to experience the wonderful Wilmington!

Absolutely adored this property! It looks exactly like the pictures, is in a perfect location, walking distance to the historic district. Our room was gorgeous and the breakfast was delicious. Our host was so sweet and a great chef, can’t wait to be back!

Beautiful property, fabulous decoration in the best location in Wilmington - you can walk everywhere. It didn’t bother me, but I think there are 2 things that should be more clear before reservation: 1) there’s no elevator (which is obvious considering this is a house from the 1800’s). But it may be challenging if you have luggage or can’t climb stairs. 2) vegan breakfast is served starting at 8:00 am. Again, it was ok with me, but for someone with an early day start or meeting, that could be a problem. Again, I had a great stay and would highly recommend!

Again, it was ok with me, but for someone with an early day start or meeting, that could be a problem. Again, I had a great stay and would highly recommend!

Really nice place! I can't remember the last time I stepped into my room (on the road) and said "Wow!" Spacious, airy, light, comfortable. Good breakfast, too. Only thing I would have wished for is breakfast to start earlier than 8.

The place was wonderful: great location, well maintained and clean. But the service was exceptional - Sherry is an incredible host, attentive to every detail and wish. She prepares a fantastic breakfast and accommodated our every wish and need without being in our space often, like at some hotels. Absolutely zero downsides to our stay - we highly recommend and would definitely return when our plans take us back to Wilmington.

We had a wonderful stay at Dreamers BnB. We chose the "run of the house option" which means we automatically got upgraded to the Romantic Suite for the same price as a smaller room. Our suite was in the bottom floor & had views of the garden all around. The bathroom was huge (almost as big as the main room!) and had lots of plants inside too. The room was nicely decorated & the bed was comfy. The check-in was remote, but the innkeeper responded quickly to questions. You have the option to pay for parking, but we easily found free on-street parking just a half a block down on a perpendicular street. But the real star of the show was the breakfast! It changed daily, but was always delicious! It started with a "sweet" platter to share & could range from pancakes to pastries and always included fruit. The 2nd course was individually plated and usually had a form of eggs, meats, plus veggies / potatoes. My husband isn't normally a breakfast person, but he was raving about the food. Just a few streets up from downtown, the location is great & easily walkable. We would definitely stay here again!

The venue is charming and beautiful. Communication with management was proactive and on point. It's an easy walk to downtown and the riverfront. The breakfast was simple but delightful with some of the best biscuits I have ever eaten and I grew up in the south!

Unique bed and breakfast located near the walkable waterfront. The gardens, the porch, and the rooms are absolutely beautiful! Breakfast has gluten free and vegan options. You will not be disappointed in this choice.
