Bath tub need an upgrade. The $35 “destination charge” per day is ridiculous. We were told it was for the “free wine” each evening. Which we dont drink. Can we get that money refunded? We stayed 5 nights! $175 please.

Excellent experience. Friendly staff, very clean hotel, daily housekeeping, check-in/out easy. Everything is in the vicinity in walking distance including the harbour. Only valet parking at the hotel. If you want to find your own parking, there are cheaper options in parking garages very close. We used the valet for the 5 days we were there. Very good experience, highly recommended hotel.

Beautiful rooms with sophisticated furnishings, and thoughtful amenities. Staff is very helpful and professional. The food in the only restaurant onsite was marvelous. The restaurant was also very attractive and had a beautiful bar. On a different note, be mindful that the Car Valet service provided by the hotel ends at 11pm, so if you need your car late at night you will not be able to retrieve it and conversely, there will be no one to park it in a secure location overnight. I was told I could leave my car in the valet area, but that resulted in my car being “keyed” overnight, and am still waiting for LAZ Parking to answer my emails. There is a three block stretch just south of the hotel which can be a little dicey at night, but is very friendly by day. There are several universities in the surrounding areas. All in all I would recommend this hotel for its attractiveness, cleanliness and staff professionalism.

Really nice clean and quiet modern room and bathroom, very comfortable bed. Excellent location steps from Boston commons, right on the freedom trail, just cross the street and follow the red brick path. Convenient valet parking. One complaint is that parking was included with my package but the hotel charged for it anyways. They did promptly remove the charge when I pointed it out to them. Also there was some small extra standard charge of $30, not sure exactly for what but didn’t want to argue. Will stay again.

Liked it a lot. It was clean and quiet, the room was spacious. Comfy bed. Location was perfect. Like others, disappointed by the cost of parking. It looked like it was an included amenity when I researched the location so was surprised at the cost. Valet was nice, though.

The pros, the room was clean and big. The hotel was right in the middle of everything. Close to T and start of Freedom Trail. The housekeeper was super friendly and checked on us several days. The cons, construction going on in the building right next door. (Talking about 12 feet apart) We couldn’t have our curtains open as construction workers could see in our room. At night the bright construction lights stayed on all night. The bottom of the bathtub was disgusting, I wouldn’t take a bath. The pool and hot tub are located at another hotel down the street. We asked the first night to be moved since we were staying 4 nights, they said no moving rooms. We made the best of it and didn’t spend much time at the hotel.

Toilet kept running. Stains on the bathroom tile in and near shower. Coat hook hanging off wall. Side mirror loose. Back of bathroom door not clean and around the toilet paper dispenser has dirty fingerprints. Sink and mirror clean. Bed was comfy. I thought i read online they didn't do housekeeping unless requested i woke up and let my dog out tall quick and came back to extra towels( we had two on check in) Toilet Paper( we had one roll upon check in) they made our bed. Sounds good but wasn't expecting someone to go in our room in the 30 mins i ran out. We only stayed for two night. On the morning of check in housekeeping was knocking on door at 8am.

Super clean hotel in the middle of the city. To lots of attractions and restaurants. Rooms are exceptionally clean and very quiet. There appears to be some renovations occurring in the lobby area, which indicates, to me that it will only get nicer.

Our room was clean and very comfortable. The staff at the front desk and in the restaurant were friendly and attentive. I would like to personally thank Valet attendant, James for going the extra mile to help us as we needed to drop off luggage and were in a time crunch to return our rental car. He informed us of a rental car return a block away which we were unaware of. This saved us a trip to Logan airport to return the car and the expense of an Uber ride back to the hotel.

The property is in a great location. Walking distance to many places! It looks great while walking in but our room wasn't great. Light fixtures falling apart, carpet coming up, bathroom door didn't close.

Everything about the hotel is amazing, except there is no work desk, just a tiny table barely big enough to hold one laptop, and I had two plus a screen extender. There are also no plugs near the tiny table, so I had to get inventive.

This hotel is in a great location, just steps from the Common, Beacon Hill, close to the north end, etc. My only complaint is that the rooms are so dark…dark grey walls, and not nearly enough lighting fixtures to illuminate the room. I know you are likely going for a moody vibe, but I can’t see myself in the mirror!

Housekeeping did a great job of keeping our room stocked with towels, glasses. The room was always very clean. We had to ask how to work the coffee machine, which she took time to do. Nate at the front desk was a very pleasant person. Always helpful with directions. When we were leaving, he even called a cab for us. The front desk always greeted us as we came back to the hotel every night.

We rented the presidential suite and 2 additional queen rooms for our July 4 stay. The rooms were good, except the presidential suite smelled like a cigar lounge and had some suspect white powder all over the glass coffee table. Upon departure, I reviewed my charges and discovered they charged me $250 for smoking, even though the smoke was there when I arrived. Furthermore, there was an array of unexplained charges and some credits on my card, the end result of which they overcharged me $535. Despite numerous emails to the front desk staff at the hotel trying to resolve the problem, and promises from them that it would be corrected, it's now 5 weeks since I have checked out and they have not returned my money or explained the overcharges. Good luck if you plan to stay with AKA.

Fire Alarm went off in the middle of the night twice, we were evacuated from the building and no one from the hotel addressed us. Very poor hospitality. Turns out it was a maintenance issue with the sprinkler system. Not a 4 star hotel as advertised. This was a 3 star at best

Upon arrival, met with the valet parking attendant who was very nice. Then as we entered the lobby, we were met by Calvin. Calvin was an amazing person and wonderful to communicate with! Calvin was helpful and funny and was the first person we dealt with upon arrival and made the entire stay! We would come back to just to talk with Calvin but the hotel was wonderful as well. It was under construction, but it wasn't that noticeable in anyplace except the entry area. Room was clean, and spacious. Hotel AKA is on our short list of places to stay when we come to the city!

We picked the the best location, we walked to all our tours as well as restaurants! The staff was awesome and very attentive to our needs! We had an issue and lost our phone in the city as we were headed out and it was a mess! But Sherley was so helpful and calming as we figured it all out and we found the phone and still got to the airport! Thank you Sherley!!

The staff was over the top incredible. They went out of their way to help us because we arrived late. I can not say enough for the friendly front desk and employees. Our view was incredible. Room was clean. My only complaint was the parking when valet closes we almost had nowhere to park and squeezed into a tiny spot and because we arrived so late we pretty much paid for us to be valet and the price was very expensive.

Really nice hotel in the perfect location. Right on the Freedom Trail. Super easy walk to Boston Commons (basically, right across the street), Faneuil Hall Marketplace and Quincy Market,Cheers, lots of restaurants and bars, and one mile to the St. Charles River (a great place for a run or walk).

This is a very clean hotel and the staff is helpful and great. Freedom trail is at the front door with the Granary Burying grounds across the street. Lots to do within a short walk and the subway is about a block away.

We had a fantastic experience from check-in to check-out! The staff was incredibly polite and helpful throughout our stay. The hotel itself has a wonderful fragrance, creating a welcoming atmosphere. We especially appreciated that the rooms don’t have carpet, just a clean rug under the bed, which added to the overall freshness. One morning, we had breakfast at the hotel (around $20 per person), and it was absolutely delicious. The restaurant is not only beautiful but also offers a great dining experience. The hotel’s location is excellent, you can walk to all the major attractions without needing a car. We’re already looking forward to returning in the summertime and are strongly considering staying here again!
