Compared to the prices of the other hotels downtown, the cost is pretty reasonable. Lobby is unique and fun. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Loved the valet parking! Clean, convenient….

The reading and studying cubbie holes, pool table amd fitness area where phenomenal 🙌

Nice hotel, small rooms, clean, nice bathrooms, love the LED mirrors in the bathrooms. Breakfast was incredible, lots of offerings for all dietary needs. Fitness room was great. TV channel offerings were limited. Parking had terrible options.

Location/ Parking: 5min walk to the Market and other shops & restaurants in the Historic Third Ward, 10-15 min walk to the Summerfest grounds, nearby paid parking in a lot/ deck for overnight or metered street (valet available at hotel $39) Room; (5 floors, 2 elevators, lots of rooms) comfortable beds with reading lights, mesh and blackout shades, quiet, great shower with shampoo/ conditioner/ body soap/ lotion dispensers, updated TV with apps, phone, clock, fridge, mini desk with chair, lamp outlets with USB ports, no closet or dressers (this is the design of Tru hotels by Hilton), however there's a wide ledge for an open suitcase and sitting, pegs and hangers for coats/ clothes Lobby and amenities: Breakfast included, coffee/tea/cocoa always available, self-service snacks, fridge drinks, freezer treats for purchase, Workout and business areas, Plenty of space to relax, eat, work, play games, pool table, outdoor seating

No pool

The communial space was wonderful.

Clean and comfortable. Neat spaces on 1st fl for work or relaxing. Room key took 3 trips back and fourth to the lobby still did not work. Desk clerk had to come up and let us in the room. Key reader at front desk had an issue. Valet parking (separate company on the premises) was off somewhere else had to wait 45 min after check out to get my car.

They have a pool table

Rooms are large, modern and very clean. The breakfast was very nice. The ad on Expedia stated there’s an outdoor pool. There is not. That information should be corrected.

Great location but one of the elevators was broke the whole weekend causing long waits.

Floor in the entire room was obviously cleaned with a dirty mop. The entire floor was sticky and smelled like it was cleaned with dirty water. The hotel room is RIGHT AGAINST THE HIGHWAY and the windows are cheap and not built for noise reduction. Hilton please send the money to upgrade to appropriate windows that represent your brand. And for the love of God please help your staff clean the rooms with appropriate equipment. Really disappointed. And I stay at Hiltons all the time :(

Clean room, nice breakfast (pancakes, eggs, sausage, bagels/toast, cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, fruit etc.) and kind staff. Will be back!

Convenient to what we were doing. Room was not clean: used washcloth in the shower, unswept floor with snack debris and paper throughout.

There was a lot of hair in the bathroom (towels and the shampoo bottles) and the floor was sticky. The staff, while kind, seemed uninformed. For example, the valet seemed uninformed as to when you’d have to get your car.

Everything here was fantastic, from the expansive breakfast to the great customer service, especially front desk guy, Martin, and breakfast attendant ( sorry, forgot his name!) Clean rooms and lobby, convenient walking distance to Milwaukee Public Market and downtown. Our new favorite in Milwaukee!

The floors in our room could have used a good scrub, they were a bit sticky! So glad my husband did some research and found parking for $8 over the $25 parking that the front desk recommended. Very quiet building.

The room was clean but I noticed a stain my bed and the towels in the bathroom had some yellow stains, my pillow had some brown spots.

Dirty underwear were left in our room from the previous person, so they clearly didn’t clean the room!!

At first we were given the wrong room (2 double beds vs 1 king bed) but we were able to easily get a different room with the help of Martin at the front desk. The floors could use a better cleaning in the rooms but overall the room was in very good condition!

They have bottles in the shower for shampoo, conditioner and body wash. But they don’t check to make sure they are filled. The body wash bottle was completely empty. And there was hair on the shower floor.

Our experience was about average. The staff were extremely friendly. There were no issues there. The few complaints I have are as follows: - Parking: With only one valet, it’s difficult when returning and you have to wait for them to get back to hand off your keys. - Housekeeping: Our room did not get cleaned. We kept our ‘do not disturb’ sign on the door until late morning, but when we left, the housekeeper was right outside our door working on the room next to us and saw us leaving. Still no service that day. - Misc: room temperature was difficult to adjust (one degree was a significant temperature change); window shade pulley was broken and we were not able to adjust; room light was difficult to get to in the far corner behind the bed

Room was small but very clean. Breakfast was ok but nothing to write home about. Hotel seems to be going down a bad path for a Hilton. Not worth the money.

Spacious room and bathroom, very good layout, excellent and thoughtful lighting, bright where needed and convenient. Excellent condition. Refrigerator handy. Comfortable bed, comfy desk chair.

Great hotel but loud surroundings.

Great location, property was very clean but the beds were uncomfortable and the pillows were worse. Also, the AC was very loud every time it kicked on and was hard to fall asleep.

This hotel did not have the ammenities we expect at this price point. No coffee in room, no microwave, frig didnt work, shower curtain was too short so floor got flooded when you used the walk in shower, difficult to use heating/cooling system, and inexpensive appearing furnishings.Was clean and common areas were ok.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Rooms are small but you get what you pay for.

The room was pretty standard and clean, a little bit dark like most cheaper hotel rooms, but the fridge buzzed and the built-in vent in the bathroom was loud enough that I had to close the bathroom door at night, it’s one that was on all the time and I could not turn off. The bed was comfortable, but the walls seemed paper thin. All night I could hear someone in the next room snoring, people yelling in the hallways and people above me banging around, so I did not get a good night’s sleep. I almost felt more like I was in a dorm room than a hotel with all the noise. My room was close to the elevators and looked out over the freeway, which likely accounted for much of the noise. Every time someone near my room left theirs, it sounded like they were closing my door, and there was traffic noise all night and then repeated honking in the morning. Obviously the hotel cannot control this, but I would definitely recommend asking for a room away from the elevators and as far away from the streets as possible to try and dampen the noise. You get what you pay for but I would not stay at this hotel again due to all the noise. Location was good otherwise, it was nice to just hop on the freeway to get back to my city, and the light in the bathroom was good for makeup.

Rooms look worn for a Hilton. Heater in room didn’t work well and when it turned on the fan was making a very loud noise that kept us up all night. Room was so cold couldn’t take a shower.

Checkin system didn’t work. Took almost 30 min to check in

Great location in Milwaukee close to the American Family Field, the amphitheater, and the Harley museum. The complementary breakfast was great to have when waking up from a day of enjoying Milwaukee. The check in process was very fast and the staff was friendly. There was valet parking as well as plenty of garages nearby to choose from. The neighborhood was safe and walkable. I would definitely stay here again on a trip to Milwaukee.

Everything was perfect. Room clean and comfortable. Martin checked us in. He was welcoming, friendly and very knowledgeable.

My stay was amazing and very comfortable. Vanessa and Alexander made me feel welcomed and offered me so much insight onn the city of Milwaukee. They knew the top attractions that people would be interested in and knew the best places to eat. All of the staff was super friendly and welcoming. Some members were even able to talk to me in spanish which was a great welcomed surprise being a Tex-Mex myself. The area was safe and secured i highly recommend to book here if your are traveling alone or with family as most attractions are within walking distance of the hotel and its easy to find a uber.

Every single person i communited with and cane in contact with was A+! I traveled alone for a concert and they made me feel so safe and welcomed! I will def be back!!

The front desk was empty when I arrived. No one was around to help for at least 25 minutes. The front desk receptionist showed up with an attitude and denied to check me in due to me having words for her absence. So the hotel took my money and I didn’t even get to check in.

When we arrived it took a bit for the staff to stop their conversation with each other before they acknowledged us. The person who checked us in was sub par at best then gave us our room key and we proceeded to our room and when we opened the door the room had not been cleaned. We went back down stairs and I told the person who checked us in and she said" well that doesn\'t surprise me they are never cleaned" (all with an attitude) as she was gathering her stuff to leave for the day. Then the next person gave us a new room and then when we went to login into the wi-fi we could not connect because it was still attached to the original room we were given. I went back downstairs and the person gave me some new information but didn\'t give me ALL the information I needed in order to login, it wasn\'t until the 3rd person who helped me give me everything I needed to be able to login to the wi-fi. The room had no wash cloths, we had to ask for them. The room had no door hangers for room service. There was hair in the shower from the pervious people. It was a very rare occasion when there was staff present at the front desk when you needed them. There was nothing in the room to tell you haw to get ahold of the front desk when we asked how to get the front desk via phone the front desk said "maybe dial zero, I don\'t know". When my husband went to get a glass of OJ shortly after breakfast hours closed he was snapped at by the staff aggressively.

Loved how bright and open the lobby was. Michelle was amazing at the front desk. Even gave me free toothbrush and toothpaste when i found out i forgot mine. The bed and room itself was incredibly comfortable and the room was super clean and smelled lovely. The bathroom had all the amenities we needed and a bunch of towels. And the shower got hot fat and STAYED hot. The breakfast had omelets and eagles and sandwiches among a bunch of other items. 3 juices and coffee and tea. Just had EVERYTHING we needed. Will definitely be back.. cannot wait to be back.

Hello - I was a guest at the Tru Hilton Downtown Milwaukee on 4/13/2024. The listed check-in time is 3:00 and we did not get access to our room until close to 5:00 and only after following up with the desk and literally sitting in front of the staff so they would not forget about us again. We booked a very overpriced room at this hotel so that we could check in between 3:00-3:30 and have time to get ready for a concert we were attending that night. By the time we got access to the room, we had to rush to get ready and were late in arriving to the concert. On Sunday morning I spoke twice to the General Manager, I believe her name was Kelly Murkal. She said she could not directly offer me compensation for the late check in because I had booked the room through Expedia but promised to reach out to Expedia the next day and would email me. It is now Friday and I have heard nothing back from her. Attempts to reach her via phone have not worked. The comment about needing to work with Expedia does not make sense since I was billed directly by the hotel. I understand that due to a concert the previous night, it was difficult to get all the rooms cleaned, however, that is not our fault. As mentioned, I was willing to pay the extremely elevated pricing so we could have time to prepare and get to the concert. I am very disappointed in the late check-in and the now apparent lack of concern of the manager to make this situation right. I would not stay at this location again for

Close to summer fest grounds. Walking distance to bars

This is as my fourth time at this property. I really like the location. Even though the interchange is right there it is located by the hop stops and walking distance from so many places downtown. This time I had some one in the room above me I believe who was making a ton of noise between 1and 330 am. I could have called the front desk but I believed if I could hear them someone else probably did. So I will take the blame myself for not calling. The breakfast this morning was was very simple as well.

Easy to get to . Walking distance to summer fest and venue grounds. Close to third ward

Although close to the highway and a smidge noisy, it was a wonderful location to walk around downtown Milwaukee, and especially close to the Third Ward and Public Market.

This hotel was in a great location. We could easily walk to the 3rd Ward or over to the lake. It was clean and quiet.

Walking distance to the Riverside Theater.

This is a nicely located hotel for the downtown area, Being right next to the third ward, you are less than a half mile from tons of restaurants bars and other places. We stayed during Summerfest and it was less than a mile from that too. Parking there is 28 bucks a day, so try and find something cheaper. Milwaukee has about 200 parking lots downtown and they all charge differently. The TRU side of the building is strictly average hotel rooms, but will run you about 50-100 a night less than the Home2Suites on the other side (which provides kitchenettes with the room. You do need to request room service, but the big points here are for the staff. They were all friendly and helpful and that goes a long way towards making a stay decent. The "free breakfast" is about what you would expect for "free" so maybe go 500 feet to one of three other places for a better option if you are willing to pay a bit. No bar onsite, but again plenty of great options within 1000 feet. We would certainly stay here again.

We loved the options at the breakfast bar! Check in was super easy, and the diy “best spots in the area” white board was amazing for recommendations!! The room was clean & it felt super safe on property.

The free continental breakfast was good and had a lot of options. The room was clean and modern. Good location in downtown Milwaukee. I felt safe and secure, which is extremely important to me as a solo female traveler.
