This was exactly as advertised. Bed great, shower good. An excellent budget place with good basic facilities. Great little kitchen area available for all units to use - microwave, toaster, sandwich press. Laundry facilities to use too.

Very nice beachfront motel. Our room was clean. It was just across the street from the beach. There wasn't a kitchen or microwave in the room but there was a common kitchen a few doors down. The shower was very nice

We had a one bedroom apartment with a view over the beach. The apartment was large with good views. On the downside the cleaning needs to improve (don't really expect to find festering potato peeler behind microwave) and equipment for the kitchenette was minimal.

Loved the sea views from the unit. Could hear the waves gentle lapping sounds from inside the unit. Sunny north facing unit. Bathroom had powerful shower. Newly refurbished, comfortable beds...great nights sleep. Absolutely spotless.

Very happy with the choice I made to stay at Kaikoura Beach Motel; ours was a 2 bedrm unit, and while the complex is not new our unit had plenty of space, was spotlessly clean and very well maintained; parking right at the door and also a view of the ocean ... what more could one want ?? Also within walking distance to both the town centre one direction and the famous Pier Hotel in the other. Would I recommend this accommodation, definitely !!

The room was generally cold and the bathroom hotrail and heating fan were both out of order, considering the vent windows that couldn't be properly shut we had 8 degrees in the morning, not really what you would expect for 200$

When we first arrived, we were a little surprised by how compact the unit was—but that quickly changed. The space is really well appointed and turned out to be the perfect size for our stay. This motel is perfectly located and close to everything. As well, right across the street from the beach and the magnificent views. Our hostess was very friendly and helpful. We were able to stash our bags with them upon checkout as our train was in the late afternoon. We were also taken to the train station as it would have been quite the walk with suitcases. They went above and beyond! I highly recommend this motel.

Love the stay here. Pity our stay was unexpectedly cut short by one night due to our flight cancellation. Poppy was accessible throughout online to ensure our smooth check in and making our stay as comfortable as possible. The unit is great and the view is stunning but the lack of any service over 3 nights was disappointing. At over 300 dollars a night the least we should have received fresh towels and rubbish removed at the very least.

Die Unterkunft hatte den doppelten Betrag für den Aufenthalt über die Kreditkarte abgebucht. Ich habe dies bemängelt. Bis heute fehlt noch die Gutschrift über den zuviel gezahlten Betrag! Dennoch bietet die Unterkunft ein gutes Preis-Leistungsverhäktnis. Das Zimmer war groß, mit Blick direkt zum Meer. Bequeme Betten. Kostenfreie Waschmaschine und Trockner auf dem Gelände.

Great location, beautiful rooms. Price matched what we got for one night, however, if you stay more than one night you ave to pay extra if you want the room serviced, I.e. having clean towels and bedding, if you don’t want to pay for it, you then have to wash them yourself in the laundry room. Never had to pay extra for this service before and it wasn’t advertised when we booked, we saw it in the rooms information sheet. Otherwise lovely accomodation!
