Fort Wayne Inn

No lobby, no breakfast, no tub stopper, minimal lighting in room and no ice. There was no renovations going on, so no reason for the lobby not to be open. The ice machine was broken and only 1 light fixture of 3 worked in the room. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet with a lighted safe parking area. But the overall appearance of the room is outdated with rust in the bathroom, stained fabric on both chairs, along with stained carpet tiles. There were several spots of missing paint and unrepaired holes throughout the room and some unrepaired water leak damage in the bathroom.

I arrived from Seattle from a very long flight at around 2 am in the morning. The staff who checked me in gave me a very comfortable and clean room. The bed was so comfortable, the bathroom clean, and I had a great night's sleep. I liked the fact Fort Wayne Inn has free parking for the guests. I extended my stay for a total of 9 days. I will return to this hotel again because it feels like home.

Cigarette burns on everything. Toilet barely flushed. Stains on the ceiling. Cracks in the wall. Carpet was 30 different colors.The outside entry doors were taped open so anyone who wanted to could just walk in!! The other tenants were extremely loud with consequences. There were people cutting hair in the hallways. No vending machine. No Ice machine. No phone in the room. Completely horrible experience. Did I mention that the 2 closest buildings to us were Strip Clubs? Do better Hotels.com!!! Don’t advertise businesses as 6/10 star rating when they are literally dumpster fires! I will most likely not ever book with you again. I’m extremely disappointed!

Owners very nice. Hindu Indian and very clean, no bugs, smelled good. Front door doesn't work so side door unlocked 24/7- monitored only by cameras.

The neighborhood appears a little "rough" because of the location but parking is well lit and easy to navigate. I needed a place to crash for the night and was out before 7 am so lack of things other places offer (coffee, breakfast, etc.) wasn't a problem. Bathroom was spotless and shower was hot. I'd stay again if I'm in the area.

The parking was in the back of the hotel and not well lit. The lot and drive way way bumpy. I had to walk from the back to the side of the hotel to get in.

This place is ROUGH. Though booked & fully paid on hotels.com, was asked by check-in clerk to give $40 cash deposit on checkin. I refused, showed my online receipt, and was given my key. Guests have to then walk around to a blind alley entrance to access the rest of the building. Wouldn’t recommend unless you’re pretty brave!

The room was in terrible condition there was mixed match carpet tiles cigarette burns on almost every piece of furniture missing lamp even the shampoo had been partially used the room was ice cold so they could save energy you had to turn on the heat when you got in there you also had to go in a side door to go up to the room there was no lock on the inside of the door like a security bar also there was no phone in the room the only thing nice about the stay was being able to get out of the cold weather and the desk lady was very nice check in wasn't so easy it took about 5 to 10 minutes and you had to stand in the freezing cold lobby they did ask for a $20 smoking deposit but didn't even check the room before giving me the money back

Staff was helpful room was clean and it was quiet. I don’t like how they need $40 cash when you get there and it’s not advertised on the site. It’s not a big deal but the first time I stayed I was glad I happened to have it.

I have stay in many Hotels over my years. This Hotel may don’t see the best from the outside or inside, but so far in a long time it was the most clean ever. You know when a place is clean when you go in a you gat that bleach and clean smell the moment that you get inside the room. Also when you go to the bathroom and you don’t see any piece of hair anywhere. No cockroaches or any insects. I have spend a lot money in name brand hotel that have insects issues and always gets scare and go true all reviews and make sure that is not even 1 reviews that have any insects in it. This place even is not an expensive one, but it was a good one to stay in it.

You Get what you pay for but all and all for $55 bucks it’s not a bad deal. Bed was clean. And the heat worked isn’t much more I can ask for.

I ended up staying at Fort Wayne Inn for over two weeks while searching for an apartment to rent in Fort Wayne. I lived in a clean and comfortable bed and room with easy access to my car outside the parking lot. It is a safe hotel, the staff are helpful and friendly, and no strangers loiter in the hotel complex at any time, day or night. I had a nice and pleasant stay at Fort Wayne Inn and will return in the future.

They gave my room away and i cant get my money back

Its a ok hotel nothing to special about it. Me room had a fridge but no microwave. I stayed for 3 days and no one came and knocked to see if i needed clean towels or service. I had to go to the front desk and ask for clean towels.

DO NOT PREPAY AT THIS PROPERTY!!!! I prepaid for a room at this hotel and was not informed of a CASH deposit required to start with, which ok fine, I can get the cash. I called the property 1.5 hours before my arrival to verify that I could still check in, as my GPS was showing I would arrive 6 hours after check-in started at the time. I was told yes, I could still check in, and then I was informed of the CASH-ONLY deposit. Okay, I got the cash out for it, only to be told when I arrive, it is a different amount for the deposit. I went outside to my car to see if I even had the amount I was now being told was required. I walked back in to ask if I could give her the cash I had and do the rest on a card. She replied, "No, but I looked when you walked out, and we are overbooked, so you will have to cancel." Mind you, not only have I already paid, but I just spent 15 hours on the road. I mentioned this to her, and she then said, "You will have to cancel. I have no rooms, sorry," and walked away. She did not inform me when I called that she was overbooked, which still would not have helped my cancellation issue, but would have at least allowed me to use the rest of the time driving into town to find another hotel to stay instead of having to drive to that one and then begin looking. I am currently fighting to get my money back because this was not my fault.

The staff was great and hospitable

About what you would expect from an economy priced hotel. Getting clean towels and comp shampoo was like pulling hens teeth. And tho she didn't believe me, even after checking herself my TV spoke only in Spanish. But overall it was fine.

I showed up to my hotel and they told me they didn't have any rooms available and yes I already paid for my room and they refused to refund me my money

I just like that the location is back in a quiet area. The only thing I would say they should change is on the website it doesn't say anything about having to pay a deposit or anything when you get there or how much it's going to be and then they try to charge all kinds of different amounts.

Staff was very nice. This is a “you get what you pay for hotel.” Interior was old but clean. Outside was not well-maintained. Did not realize this was right next to a Gentlemen’s Club.
