Ardcana

This was a welcome change to our 2+ weeks in hotels. It was beautiful. Extremely comfortable and had every special touch you can imagine. We stayed in the Marble unit and the tub, toiletries, bed and window treatment/video screen were all divine!

Hands down, the most beautiful place we've stayed in some time. Pictures do not do it justice. The view is spectacular, furnishings are so well appointed, the tub is to die for, heated flooring - just wonderful stay. Coffee and tea supplied and a nice welcome gift of wine greeted us upon arrival. Host quick to respond and I wish we could have stayed one more night.

We stayed in the Luxury Apartment, Ensuite, Sea View for 3 nights (Dec 21-24). The host, Danni, was extremely responsive and helpful with information regarding the property, where to park, how to use the projector, etc. The property itself is situated in a remote(ish) area which allows for privacy and solitude. The views/landscape are breathtaking. Even in the bitter cold, we enjoyed the visit and hike to Aird of Sleat. The amenities in the suite were amazing/modern and very well thought out. The property has under floor heating, a beautiful stand alone tub (but I think that is only in the luxury cabin), a projector and screen to watch shows/tv, a very modern kitchen with plenty of cookware to make a meal, and a very comfortable bed with a great duvet. Additionally, there is a great coffee place nearby, the coffee bothy, offering fantastic coffee and delectable/unique cakes), and a nice pub called Bar Am Praban located in Hotel Eilean Iarmain which offered a great/hearty meal (thank you for that recommendation Danni). There are additional restaurants nearby (like the Red Skye Restaurant and Claymore Bar and Restaurant) but sadly they were not open. The only small thing I would request is to look into is the water pressure in the shower, and the water for the tub, which did not stay hot to fill it. Overall, my partner and I will definitely be coming back to this hidden and wonderful gem. Thank you Danni for a great stay!

Beautiful cottage with thoughtful and beautiful decor. Touches like a flashlight attached to the bed frame, heated floors, towel warmer. Lovely views of the sea, This place exceeded expectations, Bonus is that we stumbled upon Red Skye Restaurant right up the road and it was our best meal in Scotland.

Simply Outstanding. Don't go by the over- or under-photoshopped pics. The place is extremely comfortable, well-sized, with a plush bathroom, all imaginable amenities, the nicest kitchen we have seen, and amazing views. Please don't forget to gaze at the stars at night. We stayed in the Learach room. Since this is the located the "lowest" of all cabins, it gets the least amount of afternoon / evening sun and limited views of the water from outside, but we didn't mind.

The unit was nicely decorated and the view was phenomenal from the unit we stayed in. We had issues with the hot water and the plumber did arrive promptly. He said the issue stemmed from some settings in a thermostat - which we did touch,

The Loft at Ardcana is so awesome. The living and dining area are so comfortable and spacious. The cookware are in good condition that we enjoyed cooking there very much. The owner has good taste of the interior design. Plus, the linens, amenities and towels are so comfortable and full of favours. The Loft would be a core reason that we would re-visit Highland.

This exquisite property sits overlooking the shore at Lower Breakish, Isle of Skye. We enjoyed the Adirondack Chairs overlooking the water and the modern, natural decor was so well done that I took pictures to incorporate into my new house. The copper soaking tub was a hit as was the projection screen for late night movies. Everything we needed was there, from wine & whiskey glasses to a French Press for morning coffee or tea. Can you tell? I was truly impressed.

We’ve travelled a lot during lock down, some nregular hotels, some high end for special treats - our stay at Ardcana was without doubt the best of any of these. The space is incredible. Attention to detail is evident everywhere. Park right outside and take in the views across the water - outside seating around the sculptural fire pit ( logs and kindling provided ) covered patio with more seating - kitchen full to the brim of every mod con you might need - including a real Christmas tree for our stay. Bedroom is beautifully lit - soft and comfortable but with thoughtful nods to where you are so a rugged wooden headboard - oh and what appears like a lack of tv turns out to be the flick of a switch - screen down and access to a huge projector tv with Netflix and Prime. Bathroom beyond expectation - huge copper tub to soak the day away ( I didn’t get a look in ) underfloor heating piping hot water - full bottles of all local small etc. Don’t pack fudge whisky or gin - you’ll find them waiting for you as a welcome ! If this all sounds a bit gushy ? It isn’t. This place and the hosts ( easily contactable ) have knocked it out of the park. Beautiful from the outside as well as in - and in some of the most stunning scenery in the world. We will be back - even if it’s just to laze in the bath and sink into the bed watching tv and eating fudge.

We loved our stay. The home was clean and well taken care of. The views and the peace & quiet were incredible. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful - they even setup a travel crib for our infant daughter. We’ll definitely stay again.

Enjoyable stay in Skye! We stayed at the Ardcana for two nights and had a lovely time. Thoughtful touches throughout, (including a bottle of wine in the fridge!) and the amenities were lovely. For a luxury cabin stay at this price point we were a bit disspointed with the view and the cleanliness (there was a dead fly on the oven range and cobwebs on some of the upper walls). But overall very enjoyable stay!

This a beautiful location right near the ocean. We could sit on the porch and watch the sunset over the mountains and ocean. The apartment was well stocked and smelled amazing. We LOVED the bathroom. Perfect romantic getaway!!!

We loved our stay at Ardcana, and wish we'd booked more nights there - both because Skye is spectacular and because the accommodation was so lovely. The Loft had INCREDIBLE views, we enjoyed the most gorgeous sunset on our balcony, which really set the perfect tone for our trip through the Highlands. Thank you for a great stay!

We had an excellent stay at this cabin on the Isle of Skye. It was incredibly warm and cosy, making it the perfect retreat after a day of exploring. The views across the water were absolutely stunning – a true highlight of the stay. Highly recommend this peaceful getaway for anyone looking to unwind in nature!

A cabin style with full kitchen. We enjoyed the stay but felt it’s overpriced. There’s nothing around the area and not walking distance to get your groceries. The cabin does not have fantastic view but its very quiet despite also close to the other 2 cabins. We had difficulties checking in as the check in email did not reach us prior arrival.

Property is very high spec and luxury however no instructions on how to work the high tech appliances and no welcome folder or information. Was met by the cleaning lady who said don’t ask me how anything works I don’t have a clue!

Danni was helpful and responsive, as was everyone else that we met. The property has a fantastic view and the ability to enjoy the outdoors. Lots of terrific amenities and the fresh flowers were a lovely touch. Well-outfitted kitchen too.

This was a phenomenal property - stunningly modern and high-tech with bright light and beautiful views. We loved the extra touches - local art, pottery, fabrics and scents really made our stay that much more special! One small thing was that self check-in instructions should be made clear in advance of arrival - there were none listed, though we figured it out in short order. We will definitely be returning at some point in the future!

This property is amazing. Just as pictured. It is a bit remote as it is off the main roadway a bit but that is part of what I loved. The views from the porch were gorgeous. I only had one need to contact the property manager about a question but was responded to very quickly. Would absolutely stay here again.

As the kids are with the grand parents, i decided to take wife away for a night. i messaged Danni first as we had the dog and they did not mention pet friendly. the response was perfect. Told me thats not normally the pet friendly one but as long as we kept toby off the soft furnishings it would be fine. Upon arrival i parked the car within 6ft of the door so easy if you have lots of bags. the cabin was huge for 2 but was amazing, from the window that turns into a projector screen ti the roll top bath. Having lived on skye 20 years ago i have always loved the views but ardcana has captured it perfectly from the dining table with the picture window to the bedrooms view that you can gaze across the water whilst falling asleep. pricing is spot on for what you get and would highly recommend this as your next stay. only negative i have is the was no guest info, i may of missed this in the emails but would be good to have some info on how the host likes the place left. available when you arrive.

The accommodation is beautiful, overlooking the tranquil sea. Well equipped for a short stay with high quality equipment. If you want a peaceful few days away then this is the place to book.

Love the design of the property. I advise to get their before dark as its hard to find in the dark. We loved the accommodations and the cabin was very unique. The quality of the buildout was amazing and well done. The views breath taking.

The Ardcana was unbelievably awesome! Its self catering, but leaves you with a full kitchen, pots and pans, silverwear, plates etc. Youll probably want the kitchen too because in my opinion, restaraunts are pricey for what you get here, but most of all the view from the cabin is a 10/10 and you should enjoy a nice meal here. Cabin was extremely nice, new and modern, while still having a good rustic feel. Weve already planned how well want to come back soon amd spend more nights here!
