Wingate by Wyndham Greensboro-Coliseum

The only problem was the shuttle service to coliseum.They were an hour late and had a van that was not assemble.There were alot of us that had trouble getting into the van.It was too high, no step up or handle to assist us.Had to literally push each other up into it.

The hotel was clean however it did not have a hair dryer and the smoke detector needed a battery replacement. Also, the elevators were not working. Upon bringing this to the attention of the front desk, they provided batteries (wrong size) for me to replace it in the smoke detector myself. I just removed the smoke detector to avoid the constant chirping. The hair dryer issue - it was mentioned that people just take them with them so, apparently they aren't replaced or inventoried when someone checks out. Otherwise, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. However, the bed was situated too close to the wall to get out comfortably on the side closest to the wall. I see others complained about the same issue.

The elevator was broken had to lug our bags up 2 flights of stairs. Whole first floor under construction never told about before we checked in. Staff didnt even apologize about the construction had i known would of stayed elsewhere Homeless people pan handling in front of hotel. Housekeeping was asked to clean our room after our first night , we only got clean towels. We had to tell the front desk every day to clean our room. Will never stay again

I loved the staff who greeted me and helped me out. I had a cleaned up room with clean towels, linens, and had the travel toiletries. Here's the thing, the hotel is under renovations, which I didn't know before I booked the hotel. The gym was down, and I specifically got this hotel because of the location, cost, and gym, so I ended up walking up and down the stairs 15 times for my workout that evening. The provided breakfast did not have any yogurt, oatmeal, or fresh fruit, which is what I was planning on eating because that's typically what is at almost every hotel breakfast. I had breakfast at 6:40-6:50 when they opened the breakfast area at 6:30. I had seen that they had one yogurt in the fridge the night before, so I guess that they just didn't restock it. Instead of the fruit and yogurt or oatmeal, I had some scrambled eggs (seemed to be powdered eggs) and what they told me was a turkey sausage patty. It works. Overall, I liked the hotel. I didn't like how the halls and my room were over 75 degrees when I got in there, I couldn't close the blackout curtains so I had to close them with a pants hanger, and the caulking around the tube had mold on it. They have recently painted all of the walls so paint splotches were on the toilet. That's fine. Stuff happens. My drain was very slow and took over 30 minutes to drain, but I texted them about it and they said that they'd look into it. I'd stay here again, but for a lower rate because it didn't have what I needed.

It was just a nice place to stay the only problem was the elevator was broken but they were super awesome they gave us our two rooms on s down stairs on the 1st floor maybe i shouldnt have

The staff was very friendly and helpful! Even had transportation available to the concert we were going to see...Only thing is the room's A/C was not working that great. Had an amazing breakfast !

No major complaints except for the fact the hotel pool was closed initially for inspection but did open the following day.

Check-in was fine. Building is old; looks like they only redid the lobby. Carpet smelled of mold/musty. Felt like I was going to fall thru bathroom tub. Middle of the night we started seeing roaches. Remodel is definitely needed. And pest control.

I enjoyed my stay at Wingate Hotel in Greensboro, NC. The hotel desk clerks were very welcoming, nice, and helpful. The location of the hotel was perfect. And, the hotel stay was very comfortable and super clean!!!

Hotel is in a great location for food and entertainment. Hotel staff members are great. My only complaint was the dirty rags and dirty tub.

The manager and entire team were AMAZING! Upon entrance, I was greeted with smiles and friendly banter that made me feel right at home. I also witnessed a guest having an issue, and the front desk supported and resolved it quickly and efficiently. The issue of cleanliness was primarily in the bathroom (urine and dirt behind the lid of the toilet, dirty bathroom vents/filters, hot hallways, and huge water spots on the ceiling are all property owner issues and are not related to the service of management nor the team who worked diligently to ensure the stay was pleasurable). The team works hard! Overall, good stay and the breakfast bar is better than most hotels.

first of all come in the room and check in Blood in the tub , run has stains in it. Went to concert and come back didn't notice Blood at the bottom of the bed at the end blood in the sheets room didn't smell fresh at all .

We stayed here for 5 nights while preparing to move our son on Campus for his Freshman year in College. The ceilings were filled with dirt and mold. The curtains had mold stains and the room smelled damp. By Sunday morning my 2 kids were visibly sick with allergies and i had to go to the front desk to complain. They switched our room to a room they sprayed air Refreshner in to mask something clearly. We didn’t see any mold but my husband spent our last 2 days killing bugs on the sheets, walls, and towels. This was a very stressful stay. We came home and unpacked our suitcases in the backyard just in case anything crawled into our bags.

The rooms were nice the bathrooms could of been alot cleaner.The cover on the bed was more like a sheet. The carpet definitely needs cleaning and the breakfast didn't have many options as i have seen in most hotels. Hotel did feel safe with a nice parking area the staff were nice and very professional. Was not warned that they require $100 deposit and they only take a visa or mastercard nothing else when i booked the room

The first 2 rooms we were assigned to had mold on the walls and AC unit. This is a building with so much potential but it appears very neglected. If not that we booked through Expedia I would have canceled the reservation after seeing the outside of the building. Never again!

I think the window sill could have used a good cleaning as there were a few dead bugs in there. The ceiling was a little streaky not sure if it was from moisture or just needed a good cleaning. Also we were missing a lamp by the couch. Just a few minor touch up and it will be way better.

This place is a dump. The first room they put us in had hair all over the shower. The second room no better. It's very obvious that they don't even run a vacuum in the rooms. Trash all over the floor beside the bed. There were no amenities in the bathroom, and when I went to the front desk to get them no one was there. I made four trips to the front desk for soap and towels and no one was ever there.

The Bed was right up against the heater/AC unit and the unit was noisy

This hotel would have gotten an overall excellent rating from me except that the rooms on the third floor do not have drapes that close. This meant that the bright light from the street and the parking greatly interfered with my sleep.

The rooms were clean but very outdated. Poor renovations.

The room was great and spacious. It was clean and nice. It is located conveniently. I didn’t like the fact that they didn’t provide a lot of soap. I went out and bought soap so that I could wash my hands and I used the one bar that was provided to bathe with, but other than that it was fine.

The building was obviously older and in need of renovation. Our sink stopper didn’t work. Housekeeping took our used towels but didn’t replace them. I had to ask for more. The bed was so close to the ac unite that my husband had to craw down the bed to get to the bathroom. The staff was amazing! We were greeted every time we left or returned. They even took our picture when we were dressed to go to our granddaughter’s wedding. I can’t brag on them enough.

The bed room area and the TV was too dark. The hotel did not make up- the bed or added clean towels in one of my rooms. The dining room was not properly set up causing unnecessary congestion.

A/C didn’t work in the first room they had us in and then the TV didn’t get channels in the second room. The built in outlet in the lamp base also didn’t work.

The front desk people were absolutely amazing. Even when training someone new the manager was extremely friendly and attentive while still helping the new person through the check in process and their tasks. They made us feel immediately welcomed and that they were good we were there. The hotel was nice and quiet, clean overall but could use some updates to cosmetics. Definitely will stay here again when in the area.

Could not have asked for a better stay!

We had a great stay here for our overnight business trip. Ashley was incredibly nice, helpful and accommodating to our needs. We were able to check in early and the stay was great. I wish every business had employees like Ashley, truly professional and friendly! Customer service at its best!

Loved this place. The staff was EXCELLENT, the hotel is well appropriated, clean, and functional. Love that they have clean water in the lobby! The breakfast was a step above continental which was nice.

Check in and out was easy. Wondetful friendly staff. The room was as expected. It was clean with plenty of towels

Customer service was great from Ms Nicole and Mr LaRico..shared great dining options and shopping.

Adeebra made she we was happy with our stay and that we had everything we needed for our room and even went above and beyond by delivering extra towels and other necessities directly to our door. I didn’t see anything wrong with the hotel. Everyone was nice and every time I had a question or needed help they did it with a smile!

It was a great last minute stay, room was clean and decent. Evening desk clerk was wonderful and very helpful, the morning guy was not so much. I will stay again in the future

The staff was extremely accommodating, the updating of the hotel was much nicer than a year ago when I stayed there. Bravo!

Property is in transition (new ownership) and there are some updates that need to be made. Room was comfortable and clean. Bathroom was clean but could definitely use some updating in the shower/bath area. AC/heat unit seemed to be working but not particularly well; fortunately the weather was mild so it wasn't really an issue. Very busy area with lots of hotels close together so things can get noisy on a concert night.

Close to the coliseum

The hotel and staff were good but the area is sketchy at best. Homeless and drug users were all around. Hotel staff had to call the police at least twice this weekend. I am a male but felt unsafe walking to my car with child in the evening. Even the staff conveyed to me they have continued issues due to run down Howard Johnson and some other hotels accross the street. Again, the actual hotel and staff were fine. I would never allow my wife to stay at this location.

The hotel is dated. That said they were making renovations while we were there. Staff was friend and helpful. It’s 1 3/4 miles to the GAC and easily in walking distance.

Had a quick stay to move daughter out of dorm at NCA&T and hotel was good location, clean, safe, and close to campus. Close to walkable food ans coliseum if you need to go there. Plenty of food around hotel to choose from. Great stay!

I love that it is very quiet. It is convenient location to the mall, dining and convenient store, walgreens, walmart etc.

The hotel was decent. Our room was clean and spacious but the area around hotel was a little rough and the people walking up and doen the street at all hours of the night made me worry about my vehicle

The breakfast foods were good and the staff was very helpful when I asked for an assistance.I had no problem with bed. It was very comfortable and I slept well throughout the night.

The Wyndham by Wingate was a overall great stay. We stayed for two nights and had a small problem with our room on day two but staff was very pleasant and accommodating to get us in a different room. There was a high school group and college softball team staying there at same time but noise was minimal. The free breakfast far exceeded expectations with biscuits, gravy, eggs, waffles, pancakes, oatmeal, basically anything for anyone. The whole staff were super friendly and helpful. While the area did have its share of people on the streets we felt extremely safe and the lobby entrance was locked after 10PM with only way to get in was room key or picture ID. Overall a great stay and will definitely return if ever in town again!

Proprty needs entire renovation. Wallpaper perling from walks, broken tables, king bed butts right again air conditioner so you cannot get in or out. Ridiculous! Breakfast service is a joke, no plates, no eggs , no biscuits, no waffle mix, no syrup. Be prepared to wait for everything. Do not recommend

The breakfast was good although refills of items usually had to be requested. As far as the room is concerned, the phone on room didn't work and the pull bar that I needed in the shower was pulled out of the wall and the tub was extremely slick

Great staff and helpful. Like all other hotels in Greensboro needs updating and more attention to detail. Breakfast are too small and set up not condusive to large crowds.

The bed was comfortable. The room layout was good. The facility needs updating, which it looks like they might be getting ready to do. The breakfast was not very good and they didn’t have regular cream for the coffee. Not horrible, but not excellent either.

Had to book this after a nightmare booking at the Studio 6 across the street. They allowed me to book at midnight.. the girl at the front desk was newer & super sweet & understanding. Breakfast was amazing everyday.. I felt safe.. rooms were clean & maids were sent to the room daily.. night & day difference.
