The resort is spacious and well laid out. We stayed in the adults-only section, which I highly recommend. The adults-only pool was clean and spacious, in comparison, the two other pools on the resort were much more crowded, which meant they were less well-maintained: there was sand at the bottom and the water was a bit murky. At the time of our stay (June 2025), the beach was completely inaccessible due to a large accumulation of seaweed (sargassum). Unfortunately, this significantly impacted our overall experience, as we weren’t able to enjoy the ocean. In addition, there was a persistent smell of sulfur in the air, especially in the mornings, something to keep in mind if you’re pregnant or sensitive to smells, as it can cause nausea. When it came to food, we were pleasantly surprised. The meals were tasty and varied, with several à la carte restaurants and great cocktails. One downside, however, was the restaurant reservation system: you have to book very early the same morning, and spots fill up quickly. There’s no option to book in advance, which can be frustrating if you don’t wake up early enough. The staff, was very professional, nice and friendly. Overall, it was a lovely experience, with a few areas for improvement. I would rate it 3.5 out of 5.

Entertainment was great as there were always different choices. Food was very bland especially room service and got tired of the weak choices at the buffet. Pool was chipping away and found tile pieces in bottom of the pool and a friend cut his foot and they didn’t do anything else with cleaning of the pool afterwards. Wouldn’t come back as it was subpar at best.

This is a large property with a lot of rooms and 4 swimming areas. An adults only, a pool with a bar for the more alcohol driven folks, a very large family pool and a kids pool area with some play structures. The restaurants are quite good! All of them. And the snack bars. Excellent. The staff are great. The property is clean. It’s a little bit worn as it isn’t new, but very well kept up. There is also a soccer field / basketball court and some other amenities like a bowling alley and a spa. Not that raccoons come out in the evening. They are very friendly as many guests unfortunately feed them. We also saw some Coatis and Agoutis during the day. They weren’t disruptive. Just there. There was a lot of seaweed during our stay, which could not be cleaned up. Too bad as you could tell there was a beautiful white sand beach. There is a smell from the seaweed but you get used to it quickly and it isn’t bothersome. Our family with two teens would go again.

Beautiful property. Very nice staff. Great food in the buffet. Route 66 diner staff and food was amazing. The manager of Routt 66 is so fun and made our dining experience so relaxing along with our waiter. Hotel room floors were dirty but the rest of the room was clean. The bowling was super fun. The adult area pool was by far the best pool service in the resort. Did not see any theater shows and was hoping for a little more evening entertainment but overall above average resort. The staff were incredible for the most part. Thanks for a memorable vacation and would come again and looking forward to the new sister property ooe inf soon near you.

This is a beautiful resort! The staff, food and drinks are incredible! Eduardo and Alejandro seriously are AMAZING! It could benefit from some updates but we had the absolute best time!!! I would definitely recommend it!

The staff was wonderful. The grounds and pools were impeccable and many chairs available. Food was great. A la cartes and bistro on adult side were the best. The buffet could be improved. Rooms were clean.

On arrival our room had a moldy smell. They brought a dehumidifier and sprayed some aroma scent. That took care of it,and we asked them to spray 2x daily. Unfortunately we had to ask every day for it to be done. Finally the last 2 days they did it as we requested. Overall a laid back resort. We are active seniors and enjoy dancing at night-disco or night club. The entertainment was geared towards families and kids. Buffet was just ok. Blue moon was excellent. Italian was excellent. It a lian patio was mediocre. Too long to wait for food. Brazilian steak house just ok. Didn't care for Route 66 menu. Staff everywhere was outstanding and helpful. Everyone on the Blue Team worked their tails off every day to make you feel welcome and have fun. Fernanda was outstanding as was Eduardo at the Chill Bar. Estrella at housekeeping took care of the issue with our room once she became involved.if she was involved sooner, our stay would have been excellent.

The property needs some updates — the elevator could be improved, and the beach was not usable due to a large amount of seaweed. The pool was dirty and needs better maintenance. On the bright side, the rooms were clean, and the staff was very polite and took good care of the guests, which we really appreciated.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The food was very tasty, beautifully presented and very diverse. The entertainment program was wonderful every day (especially Halloween and Día de Muertos). The staff were friendly and the rooms were clean. There were only a couple of small issues: the water in the bathroom sink drained slowly and sometimes some dishes and forks in the main restaurant were not perfectly clean. However, these small things did not spoil our excellent impression of the hotel. We didn’t want to leave and we definitely want to come back again.

Es un hotel que necesita renovación, los baños están viejos y se nota la suciedad en ellos. El servicio de los dependientes no es el mejor, en la mayor parte de la instalación no sientes que estás de vacaciones son pocos los dependientes que te dan una atención 5 estrellas, incluso le trasmitimos nuestra preocupación a uno de los muchachos de la carpeta del hotel y este nos dijo que no compartía nuestra opinión a pesar de manifestarle hechos concretos que nos habían sucedido. La piscina principal siempre estuvo sucia y turbia, según ellos por la cantidad de personas lo cual no es cierto. En el lobby un calor que se torna insoportable, los ventiladores que hay solo están en el área donde realizan ventas, los turistas no tienen ese privilegio. En mi opinión no son merecedores de la categoría de 5 estrellas deben trabajar mucho para lograr que los visitantes se sientan a gusto en la instalación.

It was a great experience all the way around, the staff is awesome with the best service I could’ve asked, the guys at the bar Alex, Gonzalo, and Mario also Jorge from Los Girasoles restaurant and Victor from the morning, breakfast buffet, I didn’t get the name of the housekeeping, lady, but she always went the extra mile to make sure our room was immaculate, clean and stacked up with everything needed, and she was adapting to flexible schedule to come and do the room, even after she had already passed by and we were inside resting, for sure we’ll be going back next year and it’s highly recommended.

The room was amazing. Very clean. Our sink was plugged the one day but they came up within 15 minutes and fixed it and apologized multiple times. The concierge called multiple times to make sure we were ok and if we needed anything. They even decorated our room for our daughter's birthday. All staff are very very friendly. Food was great . Pools are amazing. Kids club was great for the kids. Shows were unbelievable!!!! Huge shout out to Bernice the concierge. She was fabulous and professional. And it does not matter if your a are privilege or not you get the same treatment. We will be back . The best stay we've ever had. All the staff made us feel like royalty !!!!

Staff were friendly but persistent with selling add ons. Check in took forever; we arrived early due to our flight, waited over an hour in line to get bracelets to enter the facility and then returned after 4pm and again waited over an hour for the bracelets to be activated and room numbers to be assigned. Room was clean but had a musky smell. Safe was broken, but maintenance came out promptly to fix it. Had a water leak we discovered around 9pm and maintaince didn't come out, had to follow up the next morning. Beach is magnificent and kept quite clean even in seaweed season. Pools are kept clean as best they can. Loungers are first come so best to grab a good spot early. Service at the pool is inconsistent but tipping more may help (Look out for Antonio, he is absolutely fantastic. Best server!!). Every restaurant isn't open every night so plan ahead. Food quality is very inconsistent even with that same dish one day to the next. Activities available but not very clear when and where what is happening. First room given was hot with no A/C. Was told that it is working, and should consider turning on the fan. Ended up sleeping there one night. The beddings had a very stinky smell due to the no a/c. It was very musty. Was moved to another room the next day - was much better. The a/c worked, so the beddings did not stink. Did not give the hotel a high rating because the hotel credit of $50 for VIP members was not a credit, but coupons to use towards at least $150 purchase at the gift shop. Therefore, it is not a resort credit, but a discount with a minimum purchase of $150. Therefore, it is really a 33% off with a minimum purchase of $150. There were no spirits in the room's minifridge - only had water, pop and two cans of beer - no spirtis/hard liquor. Asked for beach towels, took 30 hours to be brought to the room. Food was above average. Activities at the resort were well planned and many to choose from to participate. There is a bowling alley, games room with pool, air hockey, ping pong table, board games and a digital games room for the kids.

The breakfast was terrible for the most part. Most of the restaurants were lackluster or straight terrible like Route 66 where u had to pay for certain food on the menu. Or the marina Brazilian restaurant where we were served under cooked chicken.when we brought it to the server attention he said he would fix it but he did nothing and left the food on our table. The drinks were watered down and tasted like syrup. They had raccoons all over the hotel sometimes even fighting each other

Room was clean and king size bed was comfortable. Friendly staff. Good food except one night at Route66 was cold and didn’t get all food we ordered. Great coffee at Mikes coffee shop. Cleanliness and staff was great. However, hot water in the room is non-exsistant. Had hot water the first day of stay and no more. If you like cold showers, this is the place for you. Everything else was excellent.

ROOMS: Stayed in Junior Suit Ocean View. Very putdated. Room was spaceus, however, old and unkept. Bathrooms are big as well but somehow not practical and no privacy, there is only a thin curtain in the washing area, the toilet and shower have doors but they are small. CLEANLINESS: Somewhat clean, but dirt has build up over the years and it is noticeable, especially in the bathrooms. STAFF: Very nice, helpful and accommodating. LOCATION: Hotel was on a good location and it had nice beach area, However, before booking make sure the beach is clean. During our stay there was way too much seaweed. The beach was unusable and it smelled really bad. BUFFET/ Restaurants The buffet was nice different viraety of foods. It tasted good. The only thing was that to enter the buffet you have to wait to be seated and if it was around 7pm the line could get long. The other thing was that the AC didn't always work and it got very hot and unpleasant. There are 2 restaurants that were on first come first serve basis however you have to be there once they open up otherwise during dinner time you have no chance to get a table. The restaurants with reservation you have to make the reservation the day of at 8 am, however, almost every time when I tried to make a reservation by 8:01 there were bi more seats available. Check in took forever; we arrived early due to our flight, waited over an hour in line to get bracelets to enter the facility and then returned after 4pm and again waited over an hour for the bracelets to be activated and room numbers to be assigned. Had a water leak we discovered around 9pm and maintaince didn't come out, had to follow up the next morning. Beach is magnificent and kept quite clean even in seaweed season. 1.) Website says shuttle service to and from airport is free with 3+ night stay but does not disclose that you have to book directly through the site and not through a third party like Expedia to be eligible for this. So we had an extremely stressful experience trying to arrange transport to and from the resort. And the hotel staff was not understanding or forgiving about this when we asked about it nor did they offer to compensate us for the inconvenience. Also, no one answered the phone when we tried to call on any occasion. I called well over 10 times on several different occasions including and especially the transportation situation and no one ever answered, making it impossible to get help, which delayed us checking in by hours. 2.) It was nearly impossible to book a desirable restaurant as they booked up so quickly every day (although the restaurants did have very good food I will add). Also, we had to ask for waters to be brought to our room daily rather than being automatically refilled as part of daily room service. 3.) The room we originally booked for an ocean view wasn’t available and we were moved to a different area that made all of the walks to the bars and restaurants a lot further and were not warned about this. 4.) The balcony jacuzzi was filthy and had hair in the jets. This was a complete turnaround from our stay in 2019 at this resort, which was very pleasant that time around. However, not so much this time around.

For the most part everything was great. Our rooms was very nice, except there was construction going on which meant there was no direct route from our room to the lobby. This meant we had to walk pretty far to get anywhere, but I guess we got our steps in. The restaurants we went to were all good, but the reservation website is terrible. It would really help if there was a queuing system instead of getting through the process for reserve a table only to get booted out and having to start all over again. We had a great time at the pool and the pool bar staff were excellent. Especially Gustavo who went out of his way to make us feel welcome. Overall the entire staff were very friendly and would always greet us with a smile. We weren't too keen on the timeshare sell push, but that was only a minor annoyance. We would definitely stay here again .

It was a great experience all the way around, the staff is awesome with the best service I could’ve asked, the guys at the bar Alex, Gonzalo, and Mario also Jorge from Los Girasoles restaurant and Victor from the morning, breakfast buffet, I didn’t get the name of the housekeeping, lady, but she always went the extra mile to make sure our room was immaculate, clean and stacked up with everything needed, and she was adapting to flexible schedule to come and do the room, even after she had already passed by and we were inside resting, for sure we’ll be going back next year and it’s highly recommended.

We stayed at the resort for our honeymoon trip. Jose in guest services was amazing, he secured us dinner reservations for the first day even though everything was booked out when we arrived. Honestly, all the staff were great and they try their best to keep the resort clean and the seagrass cleared. The activities they had were great we had alot of fun with archery, dance lessons and aquagym and the evening shows at 9pm were pretty good. One issue we had was just trying to get water we don’t drink much alcohol, and when we asked for water instead, it sometimes felt like a hassle or like we were being dismissed, which made us uncomfortable many times we had to ask several times before getting water but whenever we asked for alcohol drink we received pretty quick. Another issue was being pushed into a timeshare presentation without really being told what it was. We were sent to the front desk, then told to have breakfast with someone even though we said we already ate. They said it would take one hour being,naive and not wanting to be rude we agreed but it dragged to 3 hours lost patience and ended it myself didn't even want the massage they offered and just threw the coupon away. Just be aware of being talked into these presentations. Overall, we would return — maybe just bringing our own water next time. If you’re looking for a beach resort, this might not be it, but they can help you book an excursion to Isla Mujeres, which gave us the one perfect beach day we wanted.

This place is completely underrated. If the facilities were located in the hotel zone, the price would easily be double or triple. The food is delicious, all the staff are friendly, and they help you with anything you need. The facilities, although old, are very well maintained and are being renovated. But if I had to choose just one aspect to highlight, it would definitely be the staff. I went with my wife, who is pregnant, and both the activities team and the reception, cleaning, and especially the restaurant staff went above and beyond to make sure she fully enjoyed her honeymoon. An honorable mention to Miguel (the head waiter), who at all times showed what true customer service means. To Jocsan, who also helped us from the moment we arrived until the day we left. And to Esmeralda, who was always available to answer our questions. It’s a shame I can’t give an extra star.

Rooms were clean but beds were extremely hard. Food was less than acceptable and not much for choices. Hardly anything to do except pool and maybe a semi decent show 1 night a week. Everyone was extremely nice and helpful. Did not like we were so far away from anything and could not leave resort unless it was for an excursion. Could barely even get outside and walk around the resort itself but for a small sidewalk. Careful of all the raccoons they will literally take the food right out of your hands. Watch out for the "sharks" circling to get you into there sales pitch! Will not go here again. Cancun/ Rivera maya was not what I expected at all. Very disappointed

The good: Lots of activities to do each day, from Bowling to Live music and Shows. Mike's cafe was great and had lots of cold and hot drinks as well as snacks and light sandwiches! Route 66 had a late night menu from 10pm to 6am which was very convenient. Access to the tennis courts was a nice feature. The pool had nice features and the hammocks was a great touch. The bike tour with Jonathan was a cool ride. He encouraged us along the way and made us feel comfortable during the bike ride to Puerto Morelos. The bad: The seaweed made the beach water literally inaccessible our whole 7 day trip. The smell was also very strong and unbearable at times. We visited Puerto Morelos on a bike tour and noticed there were very little seaweed on the beach and none in the water. It was clear blue water. We noticed they used nets in the water to block the seaweed from entering. I would suggest that Ocean Coral & Turquesa perform the same method. I would also suggest that a disclaimer is added to the reservations prior to booking informing guests that there is no way to swim in the ocean at Ocean Coral & Turquesa. If we had known this fact, we may have tried booking somewhere else because the point of Cancun is to enjoy the beach. They may need to rename the hotel to Pool Turquesa due to this huge drawback. They could also add a free shuttle to the Puerto Morelos beach for guests that want to enjoy the ocean water. At that location the government provides a net in the water blocking seaweed.

The sargazo was so bad it made the whole complex stink. I do not recommend this place. There seems no attempt by the resort to maintain it free from sargazo. It made the whole experience so uncomfortable. Don’t stay here it is not worth your money. The whole 4 days me and my family stayed the food was mediocre, service was ok but my kids said they were ignored when going to Route 66 and I wil never come back.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Staff is friendly and accommodating. We booked through expedia and if you do, you cannot modify your reservation unless you do it via expedia who then has to communicate with the resort. We booked a long stay (8days), we felt it was too long, and we wanted to stay closer to cancun, but since we did not add the option to refund, the resort denied our change. The resort is pretty, by the water, that is why we booked it. However, there is a huge issue with the algae there, and the smell is strong. We appreciate the hard working staff in their restaurant and buffet places. Food has loads of options in the buffet (fruits and vegetables). We preferred the buffet style vs the reservation restaurant overall. The pools are well maintained. We ended up renting a car for the week. We booked a private tour with GIOVANNI Tour and skip the lines (Chichen Itza, Cenote pool, lunch). We drove in the morning to the port and took the Xcaret ferry from Cancun to las Isla Mujeres (would recommend renting a golf cart for the day) , we drove to Delphine beach and the vicinities. Overall, nice resort, location is isolated, beach is not usable due to algae right now (june 2025), staff is great. Rent a car if you have a long stay.

The resort is pretty, by the water, that is why we booked it. However, there is a huge issue with the algae there, and the smell is strong. We appreciate the hard working staff in their restaurant and buffet places. Food has loads of options in the buffet (fruits and vegetables). We preferred the buffet style vs the reservation restaurant overall. The pools are well maintained. We ended up renting a car for the week. We booked a private tour with GIOVANNI Tour and skip the lines (Chichen Itza, Cenote pool, lunch). We drove in the morning to the port and took the Xcaret ferry from Cancun to las Isla Mujeres (would recommend renting a golf cart for the day) , we drove to Delphine beach and the vicinities. Overall, nice resort, location is isolated, beach is not usable due to algae right now (june 2025), staff is great. Rent a car if you have a long stay.

Very honest review… please read The good - They gave us a free upgrade, the resort was super clean, the rooms were very clean and very spacious, the pools were cleaned every night, the Landscaping was very clean, the chairs were always clean, all in all the entire resort I never once felt was dirty or cheap. The bad.. the food was really really really bad. I could not eat the meat or chicken due to my religious beliefs so I cannot be the judge of that, this is just my opinion on everything else.. The food was super inconsistent, 100% the food was sitting out for a long time, nothing seemed fresh, for some reason there was no guacamole or avocado the entire five days I was there. The only thing they had was squeezable guacamole like the ones that Subway has lol. The restaurants have weird days where they are closed.. I believe they had about four or five restaurants and each of them would be closed either Friday, Saturday or Sunday. Due to me being a vegetarian basically they weren’t even able to accommodate what I asked for…. For example, if they have a chicken salad on the menu, I would ask them to take off the chicken and they wouldn’t do that. (I was desperate haha). I’m running out of space, but the food was just so bad and super inconsistent. For example, I ordered a cheese quesadilla to my room every day and then the last day they finally put sliced of avocado on it and I was so shocked because I was searching for it the whole day and I would ask but no one had it.

The breakfast was terrible for the most part. Most of the restaurants were lackluster or straight terrible like Route 66 where u had to pay for certain food on the menu. Or the marina Brazilian restaurant where we were served under cooked chicken.when we brought it to the server attention he said he would fix it but he did nothing and left the food on our table. The drinks were watered down and tasted like syrup. They had raccoons all over the hotel sometimes even fighting each other

For the most part everything was great. Our rooms was very nice, except there was construction going on which meant there was no direct route from our room to the lobby. This meant we had to walk pretty far to get anywhere, but I guess we got our steps in. The restaurants we went to were all good, but the reservation website is terrible. It would really help if there was a queuing system instead of getting through the process for reserve a table only to get booted out and having to start all over again. We had a great time at the pool and the pool bar staff were excellent. Especially Gustavo who went out of his way to make us feel welcome. Overall the entire staff were very friendly and would always greet us with a smile. We weren't too keen on the timeshare sell push, but that was only a minor annoyance. We would definitely stay here again .

I had an excellent stay at this resort! The staff and service were outstanding—always friendly, attentive, and professional. Room service was prompt and high quality, and the overall amenities were impressive, especially the bars and restaurants. However, I was a bit disappointed with the vegetarian offerings. Some dishes were mislabeled, and I even found meat in an item marked vegetarian. When I brought this to the on-site manager’s attention, he apologized but unfortunately did not have the chef re-make the dish. Aside from that incident, everything else about the stay was wonderful. I would still highly recommend this resort for its exceptional hospitality, comfort, and amenities—just be cautious if you have dietary restrictions.

Nice resort, great staff and the facilities were very nice. The beach was average and the food selection was minimal in the buffet or on the dining restaurants. The Brazilian style restaurant was great with a lot different meets cuts off skewers at your table. Only there 2 nights and did not get to explore area.

We were a group of 6. We chose this Hotel because of its location and size. The Staff was amazing especially the hotel concierge Katia. We had a little bit of a issue checking in since we had upgraded to privilege. I messaged Katia and she was quick to be right on location to clear up the issue. She also assisted us with a issue with the AC in one of our rooms and it was taken care of immediately. Any questions we had Katia was quick to respond to and help with anything from setting up dinner reservations, getting taxis, and whatever else we needed. She also made it a point to come in early on our day of departure to wish us farewell. If you have any questions regarding booking with this resort she is the one to ask and will make sure you vacation is everything you could want. I also want to give out a shout out to Ricardo at the el baso pool and beach. He was amazing he made sure our hands were never empty and at times he was literally running to keep everyone fully hydrated. He did it with a smile and really enjoyed his job. He greeted us every morning and was always quick to suggest a new drink to try. We mostly stayed to the adults only pool and beach but we did attend the foam party at the swim up bar pool and had a blast. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone looking to have have a relaxing vacation but also to have a good time.

This resort was amazing! We had such great service! Katia from concierge was so amazing and helped us with every type needed. Also, Ricardo at the El Beso pool was so friendly and speedy! The rooms were clean and the restaurants we good. I would return here for sure!
