We spent an incredible week at this hotel in September, 2025. The room 2902 on the 9th floor with a balcony was spacious and clean , the seaside/city view was lovely. There were some nice benefits of being premium guests like a free mini bar, free lounge and private rooftop pool. The hospitality team at the premium lounge Rocio, Agnes and Daniel went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Love the funky design of the lobby too. The pool activities were a real fun especially with entertainment team superstars Carlos and Ana. We chose Half board option, €20 pp extra. The food was diverse and delicious, and huge props to the restaurant staff Noelia, Salome and all for their hard work. The Premium stay included free beach access and sun beds. I'd highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing and fun getaway. Thank you Ocean House, hope to come back soon.

Lovely main areas of the hotel, good breakfast, lovely pool area, gym ok. Ground floor room was dated a bit smelly but it was cheap so not complaining, should have a water dispenser in the gym.

Jättefint hotell med bra pooler, barer och närhet till egen strand. Bra frukost med mycket att välja på. Vi hade premium och fick då tillgång till ”egen” pool, lounge, gratis solstolar på stranden och fri minibar på rummet. Riktigt bra utsikt från rummet med härlig balkong. Vi är otroligt nöjda.

Fint hotel tæt på strand og promenade. Billederne snyder dog en del og når hotellet skriver 4 pools, så er den ene kun til premium gæster og 2 af dem er maks 5x5 meter, hvor den ene ligger 2 meter fra den store pool. Så at skrive 4 pools er meget misledende. Der er på ingen måde plads nok ifht. hotellets størrelse, så man skal indstille sig på stranden. Den “store” pool spærres halvt af hver morgen til vandgymnastik. Morgenmaden er god, men der er også meget trængt der. Værelset lever desværre heller ikke helt op til billederne. Det er lidt slidt og sengene er meget dårlige, især sovesofaen, Airconditionen virkede ikke på vores værelse og selvom den kørte på 5 grader, så kom temperaturen aldrig under 24 grader, så det var svært at sove. Vi endte med at tjekke ud 2 nætter før tid og fandt et andet hotel. Et fint hotel, hvis du er et par og, hvis aircondition virker. Ikke særlig godt med børn. Maks 3 stjernet hotel.

Der Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel war in Ordnung und wir könnten uns vorstellen hier wieder zu buchen. Wir haben ein Premium-Zimmer gebucht, hier sind Getränke im Zimmer und in einer Special Area kostenfrei. Ebenso die Liegen am Meer. Parkplätze sind (zumindest in der Nebensaison) ausreichend um das Hotel und in den Nebenstraßen zu finden. Allerdings gibt es ebenso einige Punkte, die bei einem 4-Sterne Hotel in dieser Preisklasse verbessert werden sollten: 1. es wird mit einem beheizten Pool geworben - die Pools hatten alle dieselbe erfrischende Temperatur, 2. Das Kinderbecken hat die Größe eines größeren Planschbeckens 3. Es gibt eine schöne Terrasse im Speiseraum mit freier Tischwahl. Jedoch wurden wir während des Essens gebeten (Mehr oder weniger höflich) unseren Tisch zu Räumen den wir bereits 2 Abende zuvor genutzt hatten, weil der Teilbereich für das Frühstück sauber bleiben sollte. Es standen mobile Absperrungen bereit - die jedoch nicht zur Kennzeichnung genutzt wurden. Das sollte in keinem Hotel passieren. 4. Die Speisenauswahl war riesig und es war für alle etwas dabei. Die Qualität der Speisen war jedoch nur durchschnittlich (z.B. verwelkte Salatblätter, zu starker Kaffee)

A very good hotel thought be aware that it is very busy and sunbeds round the pool are crammed and not enough for the number of rooms. Premium rooms have access to adults only pool and rooftop bar. Breakfast is extremely busy and with hindsight I would have avoided this and used the very nearby restaurants.

Dit hotel biedt mooie, ruime kamers aan. De bedden zijn zeeeer hard, het zetelbed bracht soelaas. Badkamer klein, douchen in bad, mini wc die niet altijd goed doorspoelde, dringend een upgrade nodig. Lege frigo die goed werkte, fijn dat je je eigen drankjes kan koelen. Kopjes en waterkoker maar geen koffie/thee. 'S avonds laat of 's morgens vroeg soms veel lawaai aan de containers. Vriendelijk personeel en eten is top! Wel een reftergevoel. Zwembad zeer mooi. Ideale ligging. Zeker een aanrader!

Our room was cleaned very well every day. All aeas of the hotel were very clean. The breakfast choice is fabulous. Location is perfect for us, near to La Carihuela and right on the beach. Very friendly bar staff who remembered us from our previous visit. Also, Angie and Daniel in the Premium reception area were professional and very helpful

All in all a nice hotel and in a great area. Sadly I think the hotel is in need of a bit of maintenance to justify its 4 star status and its price tag. The communal areas are all beautiful, clean and well kept. The room itself however let the hotel down. The beds are very hard (although several toppers were added which helped), the bathrooms are tiny and featured black mould and badly cracked paint/grout. Basic things like a box of tissues and enough coat hangers were missing. The staff were generally great.

Great check in staff. Given early check in which was very much appreciated. Nice hotel. Pool grounds are very nice and hotel is very clean. Only thing that could be better is the food. The tables are cleared quickly of rubbish which is very good but the food like most Melia Hotels is average or not up to the standard of the rest of the hotel, sometimes lacking heat, fresh cooking or variety, The glass doors looking out to the pool area and the sea are also very dirty which detracts from the lovely view. Overall a nice hotel.

my experience, this hotel didn’t quite live up to the glowing reviews I’d read beforehand. We were first given an accessible room, which I’d rate as 3-star at best. It wasn’t clean, and after raising concerns, we were moved to another room. The second room was a slight improvement — maybe 3.5 stars — but still far from what I’d expect from a Junior Suite. At check-in, we were offered an “upgrade” for €60 per night, which didn’t sit right with me, especially as we’d already booked a Junior Suite. To add to this, I was charged €20 per night for my 2.5-year-old daughter — apparently because I only listed two people in the booking. I didn’t expect to need to add her, as she still sleeps in a cot at home and doesn’t require a bed. You’d assume a suite would have enough space for a toddler without extra charges. I was told cots are free, but we were still charged €20, which just confirmed my feeling that this hotel is focused on upselling and adding hidden extras wherever possible. I had really looked forward to a relaxing few days with my family in a suite — something more spacious and with a touch of luxury. Unfortunately, that just wasn’t the reality. I’ve stayed in budget hotels that were cleaner and more comfortable. I was honestly relieved to move on to our next hotel. The positives: – Pool area was nice – Food and drink were reasonably priced – Good location, just a short walk to the harbour – Breakfast was fine, though very busy at peak times Overall, 3.5

This is a very nice hotel in the public areas. The outside and the inside is very well kept. The service was excellent, the food in the restaurant was nice quality and good choice for breakfast and dinner. The pools and the pool area is also very spacious and well looked after. What really let this hotel down for me was the room. We had room 2005 a junior suite which was in fact just a small room with a sofa. The condition of the room was fairly average to say the least. Floor boards had gaps in and move, rough edges on furniture and poor finishing in the bathroom, mastic missing and rough. When the toilet was flushed in another room the noise from the pipes and the water system was incredibly loud. We complained about this and were moved to room 2013. This room was exactly the same for condition and noise which woke us several times during the night. Also making it hard to sleep was the room temperature which was a very warm 23-24 degrees, we were told the air conditioning is switched off this time of the year. I don't know if rooms on other floors are in this condition but I would definitely not stay in a so called junior suite again. Spend a few more euros on these rooms to bring them up to standard.

Var her i 12 dager juli 2023. Mer 3 ⭐️Enn 4. rom trenger oppgradering, gamle bad med små maur. Fikk rom i 9 etg med flott utsikt mot sjøen-fantastisk. Var harde senger. Hadde med en ungdom-romløsning var bra med at man kan lukke dør imellom rommene. Vi Hadde halvpensjon, mye den samme maten, savnet litt temakveld-de hadde tema amerikansk hamburger en gang og Mexicansk aften med tacotema en gang. Ligger flott til nær Strand, flott ren Strand- litt kaldt i sjøen juli- 21grader. Området var det mange restauranter, godt utvalg, mye gateselgere som stod overalt i gatene og solgte fake varer. Underholdning i baren hver dag kl 16. god service.

Avoid this hotel. We booked a suite with supposed Mediterranean view but instead get a port marina view of very limited view of the sea. The stuff is unable to provide any explanation nor willing to accommodate. The room has no cooling air conditioner, which makes the room extremely hot during the day. The shower water is frequently changing temperature from hot to cold then back to hot. The stay experience is extremely unhappy.

Really need to have a premium room as in standard the beds hard, bathroom outdated with low toilets and door banging against u when using toilet. Also view from our standard room was awful so just read other reviews to make an informed choice. Breakfast ok but we found dinner meals unappetising as sat in lots of water/fluids etc However staff great and gave hubby a topper for bed. Service good and pools and entertainment good too.

The hotel was in a great location. On arrival we were not happy with our room. Although we had to pay extra for the room, Victor and Akexandro were very helpful in dealing with the room change. We were given a complimentary drink when the room was being prepared.

Excellent stay. Worth booking a Premier room as you have exclusive check in ahead of the crowd, free drink in fridge in reception area between 10 and 6, free mini bar in room topped up once per day, exclusive use of rooftop pool, sunlounger on beach (€7 each otherwise) and fab views from higher floor room. Upgraded to half board. All buffet style meals but quality of food was very good. Staff are very friendly. Fernando in premier area was very efficient. Great location on prom and next to Benalmadina. Lots of restaurants nearby Good evening entertainment

Breakfast buffet was very poor, large selection but food was low quality and cold. Coffee machine was out of order. Very disappointing, especially bearing in mind the cost of the stay.

Die Lage des Hotels ist einfach hervorragend, eingebettet in eine malerische Umgebung direkt am Hafen. Die Poolanlage lädt zum Entspannen und Verweilen ein und bietet eine perfekte Oase der Erholung. Die Auswahl an kulinarischen Köstlichkeiten ist beeindruckend und lässt keine Wünsche offen.
