Cosy and welcoming hotel. In a fabulous location near the harbour. The staff were friendly and helpful and the bistro was well run with good food. Our room was on the top floor with no lift which wasn’t an issue for us but could be for some. The room was lovely with a spacious bathroom. The mattress was a little soft for me but that’s just personal taste. Would definitely stay again.

Having stayed at the Caley a few years aho and not been impressed, I was pleasantly surprised this time round. There's a lot of effort gone into refurbing the place and it's now a pleasant place to stay. I didn't eat here as I'd eaten en route so can't comment on the dining options, which is the only reason I've given it a good rather than excellent review. Most impressed also that they have a dedicated, well surfaced and flat motorcycle parking area. A lot of thought has gone into the renovation of this hotel. Recommended.

It was a nice place to stay, staff were friendly and helpful! Lots of stairs and no lift, and of course our bags were heavy so the staff kindly carried them up for us. Nice bar- good drinks. Room was clean, bed was very comfortable. I would definitely stay again as long as my family continues to be able to manage stairs.

We stayed as part of our NC500 tour. The parking was plentiful and was a nice touch to see specific motorbike parking. Check in was slow due to a coach party arriving just after us but we were made to wait. Room was small, beds were comfy but the walls were so thin we could hear everything on each room either side of us. Decent WiFi and decent pressure from the shower. Breakfast was an extra charge. Good coffee machine and plenty of choice to suit all diets.

Je mets clairement 5 étoiles pour remonter la note de cet hôtel qui ne mérite pas une note si basse. Je crois qu’une rénovation récente a eu lieu ; en tous cas il était très bien ! Un parking super équipé (prises véhicules électriques, emplacements moto, garage à vélo fermé à clé…). Petit déjeuner très correct et varié. Service attentionné. Le seul bémol : une très grande salle de bains bien vide : il mériterait quelques tablettes ou meubles en plus pour poser ses affaires ailleurs qu’au sol ; mais sinon franchement correct !

It is very close to downtown Ullapool. Be warned there are no elevators and if you are elderly the stairway and narrow hallways can be a challenge.

Staff friendly and welcoming, excellent facilities for the price. The reason I didn't give it a higher rating was because the bedroom carpet had dog hairs on it and my husband caught his shorts whilst sat at a dining table. After notifying reception the radiator was fixed but nothing further said to us as was implied when we mentioned it. 24 hrs later when we checked out we mentioned it again and where then told to write to the General Manager. Very disappointed at they way the situation was handled 😔

The room itself was fine. Clean, good facilities and modern decor and even had hot chocolate on offer. The bathroom was not clean. I’ll not go into details but it was pretty bad. I went to reception and the lovely lady there was horrified and offered to move my room or to clean the bathroom herself, which she did when I left for dinner. Bathroom was spotless when I returned. The staff I dealt with were lovely. Good location too.

We appreciated having a safe, clean room in a convenient location and a nice view of the marina. That being said, the towel warmer in the bathroom didn’t work and it had poor ventilation, so there was evidence of mold on the ceiling. There was also very poor sound proofing (everything was audible) and the floors were somehow not flat at all in that there were noticeable dips. All in all, it was an alright, safe place to stay for a night.
We appreciated having a safe, clean room in a convenient location and a nice view of the marina. Breakfast was great, good quality food and lots to choose from. We also had a meal in the bar which was also delicious and top quality . Staff were very friendly and helpful. Only issue for us was the room was tired, didn’t get service at any point during our stay and don’t what ever you do look under the bed if you drop something. Other areas off hotel where clean just lacking that tlc in our room. Thanks for a great stay and great location.

The room was very clean. Tea, coffee and hot chocolate provided with milk, sugar and a kettle. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious, sweet pastries, cereal, yogurt and full cooked scottish of your choice. Definately would recommend.

This property did the job. We needed a quick place to stay overnight before our Ferry to Lewis. The hotel was functional and well kept. It was simple and easy to get to the Ferry. The only thing that wasn't up to our standards was that our shower had incredibly low shower pressure. It was hard to get a good wash and rinse the soap off as the pressure was so light.

Fairly average hotel for price and location in the highlands. Stings that you can get twice the quality for half the price anywhere else, but this is the highland tourist economy for you. Staff are friendly, but rooms are cramped and noisy. Floorboards will make even the lightest person sound like a herd of elephants above you.

Not a trashcan in site, have no idea where to place garbage so I just left it on a sofa. I just wanted a latte in the morning, I walked up to your breakfast and asked if i could get a latte to-go. Her response was "do you have reservations?" I replied, "no, but can i get a takeaway latte?" Her response was caffe opens at 9am. I asked two specific questions with no answer to my question, a simple no would have done just fine. You had about 6 people eating breakfast, I'm not sure why takeaway latte is out of questions. I found the cult cafe to be wonderful place for coffee, you wanted me to wait until 9am for my coffee? Unacceptable in my opinion. Everywhere we go you need reservations, please inform your guests when they arrive if they wish to eat at nice places please make reservations.

When we arrived early for check-in were greeted by a dour receptionist who informed us that our room was not ready. We didn’t expect it to be but she seemed somewhat indignant that we’re were early. We then asked to book for dinner which we were told was done but when we arrived for dinner at 7:00pm we were told we didn’t have a booking but they’d let us in anyway (to an almost empty dining room!!!). Service was truculent and the food was somewhat ordinary. We were then asked for a 10% tip!!! Needless to say we declined. All in all a very ordinary hotel experience.

We stayed for one night during our NC500 trip and had a great experience. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming — a big thank you to the reception team for making us feel so at home. The hotel is also very dog friendly, which was a huge plus for us. Our dog says thank you again for the treats from the lovely lady at reception. The town itself is amazing and full of charm. We even picked up a few lovely NC500 souvenirs from the hotel. Wish we could’ve stayed longer!

Hotel was excellent, clean, looks like quite recently done up. Staff all very friendly and helpful. No lifts, but staff offered to carry luggage to room. Food in restaurant was delicious and very reasonable. It was actually cheaper eating in Hotel than other places round about. Still high season at end of September. Was a bit dissapointed in breakfast cereal choice, as all i could find was cereal boxes. Last morning after breakfast, I found granola in a high up, top wooden bowl, with dried fruit, next to fruit juices! I'm too short to see into the top bowl! Good choice cooked breakfast.

The Caley restaurant, while adjacent, is not part of the hotel. You must make reservations or they WILL turn you away. However, good news--the Argylle Hotel has a great pub for dinner. Hotel was a good value find.

Quite a basic hotel, but had everything needed for my overnight stay before boarding a ferry the morning after. I dined in & the food was lovely. The staff were really nice & helpful. Parking was good on their own car park at the rear of the hotel.

Ullapool ist so sweet. And right next to the hotel is one of the best fish restaurants in UK. The hotel itself is nice. The rooms are simply furnished but it's okay. Only the beds were a little worn out. Unfortunately, we were not allowed to go to the restaurant. There was plenty of space, but we were told that it was full – that's a pity! The breakfast is simple but okay.

Breakfast was great, good quality food and lots to choose from. We also had a meal in the bar which was also delicious and top quality . Staff were very friendly and helpful. Only issue for us was the room was tired, didn’t get service at any point during our stay and don’t what ever you do look under the bed if you drop something. Other areas off hotel where clean just lacking that tlc in our room. Thanks for a great stay and great location.

Hotel was very central short walk to shops & ferry terminal. Room was comfortable and had everything you needed. I wouldn’t recommend the breakfast definitely not cooked to order and not a very good selection of continental either this was our last hotel stay of our west coast trip and glad we only booked the one night

The food was hideous at breakfast and dinner- the room door didn’t lock and the decors was shabby. The staff largely appeared to be ‘over’ having guests and have not understood the meaning of hospitality

Bell’hotel, molto tipico ma al suo interno ristrutturato e confortevole. Camera e bagno moderni e letti comodi. Si trova in pieno centro a Ullapool. Una menzione particolare al ristorante dell’hotel dove abbiamo cenato per tutto il soggiorno perché è davvero eccezionale.
