Nice place to stay in Namba area of Osaka. Namba Station in 10 min walk, lots of bars restaurants and shops in the area Kumoron Market is across the street. The room est comfortable and clean. Breakfast was decent but not a large selection. The hotel offers free coffee and snacks in the lobby but the run out fast.

The hotel did not provide a bottle and a room telephone which was really inconvenient, if I wanted to ask anything I need go to the elevator to use the public phone or go to the receptionist to request. Breakfast buffet is not variety, few items. I had to take my family to Kuromon market for breakfast. There are only 2 machines in the laundry room, they’re always busy. The hotel is located in good locations, take 10mins to Dontobori, 2 mins to Kuromon market.

Stayed for 3 nights- price was pretty reasonable and hotel is near to: dotonbori (11mins) walk, Lawson Mart and subway stations. The room is pretty small but the toilet is clean. We asked for an extra pillow for our son, however, front desk said they couldn’t provide as our son is sharing a room with us. I was disappointed as I booked for 2 adults and 1 child. This is the first hotel I’ve been to that did not provide with an extra pillow. :( There are only 2 washing machines, and can only wash 3kgs for 6000yen. We have to use dryer again as our clothes were still damp after the wash/dry cycle that run for 2 hours. :( However, I am happy that one of the front desk staff helped us for our luggage transfer back to Tokyo with all smiles and was efficient. (Thank you whoever you are).

This hotel is smack in the middle of everything! Bring a good pair of sneakers because you will get your steps in but see it all. The train is also close, local lines(1-3min walk) and namba station (6min walk). I will absolutely stay here again . Great home base if you want to be in the mix but not at Dontonbari (still only a 10min walk ). The grounds are lovely, cool rooftop that is very under utilized in my opinion but its there. The room I had was small but worked for just myself. 2 beds miraculously squeezed in there but its true Japan style. Compact but workable. It had a decent size japanese soaking tub, I am 5'10 and took a bath/soak every night...used it like a spa! Its super quiet inside and the staff are all really great. This is a really great hotel. If you are looking for more space it may not be for you but if your solo triping like i was this is perfect. You wont be in the room for anything other than bathing and sleeping, Osaka calls and you will be out on the town!

建物自体は綺麗でした。一言で言うととても汚い。まず部屋に入ってエアコンの風の吹き出し口が黒カビだらけ。そして浴室の床は一面赤カビ。娘が足を滑らせるほどヌルヌル。擦れば取れる汚れなのに掃除したことがないのかと思うほどの汚れです。ゴムパッキンも真っ黒い大きなカビが数箇所もあり、、、室内のマグカップには油膜、薄く赤カビのような跡。流石に気持ち悪くて部屋を変更してもらいました。そちらのお部屋も清掃が行き届いていたかと言われれば完璧ではなかったです。子ども2人の予約もしていたけれどタオルが大人の分のみでした。たくさんのホテルに滞在してきましたが、今まででいちばん最悪でした。フロントの方の接客は親切でしたのでほんとに残念でした。スタッフ一同、一度お部屋の隅々を見回りされてみてはいかがでしょうか？泊まりたいと思うホテルでしょうか？私はもう利用しません

The location was convenient, but unfortunately quite noisy. While the staff were generally kind and helpful, they weren’t able to assist us with ordering a taxi due to hotel policy, which was a bit frustrating. The biggest issue, however, was the condition of the room. The carpet was heavily stained, and the entire room smelled like an old vacuum. Even after using room deodorant, the odor remained very unpleasant. Sadly, I would not choose to stay here again.

Very convenient to the Kuromon market. The amount of options are endless. The property is farelly new and well maintained. However the room is super dusty, from airfilter unit to the AC, to the wallpaper and bed ambient light surface.

The room in general is clean however, there are small details such as the carpet is not thoroughly clean, you could see accumulated dust in the hair dryer. Hotel is relatively small and have limited space so don’t expect that they are able to accommodate to store your luggage even for one day if you have plans travelling to other areas. If you have many luggages, best option is to arrange for transportation to another hotel in advance.

The stay was okay, we were placed in a room at the very end of the hall and were without internet service for two days before they were able to figure it out. That was an inconvenience but the worst part about the stay had to be the locked thermostats, in the middle of summer the temperature was well above 90 degrees, for the majority of our stay the ac was locked preventing it from going below 75 degrees. It made being in the room uncomfortable and sleeping only possible without the use of the bedding.

This hotel is conveniently located close to transportation and restaurants. However, they turn on the central heating and it’s a sauna inside. The temperature on average was higher than 26 degrees C and there’s no way to control it from your room. Not even opening a window helped. Breakfast was also very basic, all the items lacked flavor and the staff weren’t helpful at all. Overall, not the best choice, wouldn’t recommend.

Clean room, comfy beds. Small room and small bathroom but not unusual for Japanese cities. Hair dryer, kettle (but no tea or coffee but coffee was available at reception). Can only check in after 3 but did leave our bags safely. Great location 2 min walk from the subway and 5 min to Dotonbori

The hotel is within easy walking distance of a lot of different places, including Kuromon Market, Denden Town, and Dotonbori. It's nice and quiet at night, though the mornings are pretty crowded in the lobby. Very clean rooms, though I found the elevated bathrooms and changes in elevation very awkward, hitting my head several times -- but that has more to do with me being 6'10".

Nice location and good value. Only bad thing is we stayed a family of 4 , with 2 small kids. And we asked for an extra pillow and blanket (only 2 in room) but got the answer they dont have extra pillow och blanket. Have stayed in many hotels in japan and never heard of a hotel that can not give out extra pillow if asked to. Bit strange and not so convinient. So we had to make our own pillow for our daughter...

The hotel is well located and the room was ok except the last night (out of 4) the air conditioning was dripping water on one of the bed. Also the hotel had only 2 washing machines for all the guests, not enough. What we found terrible is that the staff at the reception refused to call a taxi for us to go to the airport. So we had to skip breakfast, even if we paid for it, in order to give us time to catch a taxi on the street. It is the first time that a hotel refuses to call a taxi.

The cleaning staff is very rude. I asked to ship my luggage to my next hotel and the front desk lady did not tell me my bags would arrive 48 hrs later. It’s very clear they do not like foreigners at this hotel. If you want good service, DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!

All of the front desk staff, except for one, was unpleasant, unfriendly, and not helpful. We had so many issues from checking in, to obtaining more pillows, to even getting a taxi. I called Expedia 2x for assistance to help resolve these issues. The front desk relied on Google translate to communicate and when they couldn’t explain they would just type that they don’t have English speak staff available and just stare. I would not recommend this hotel solely due to the front desk staff. Midway through our stay we encountered one staff member that was actually very helpful, his name was Jeremy. He was understanding and respectful and didn’t dismiss us when we need help. He is the only reason I’m giving this review 3 stars and not 1. Location was ideal, but due to the front desk staff and there never being a manager to speak with we will not be returning.

Great location. Rooms are very small and the reception staff could be more accommodating to basic requests. Would not book a cab at 6 am as their rule was bookings could only be done after 8 am!!

Everything is fairly close 10 min walk in every direction you can find train stations as well as many food spots and shoes to buy souvenirs. Multiple Connivence stores like 7eleven are close ny as well.

Hotel is in a great location. Right across Kuromon market to get awesome food. Nipponbashi station is right there (with an elevator). Can walk from here through underground Namba walk (lots of food and shops) to get to Namba station. (Nankai line is here to get to and from airport in a rapid train) Great way to avoid the crowded sidewalks but especially the rain. Dotonbori is an easy walk for dining and shopping. Hotel is very clean, staff was super helpful and spoke English, and they have baggage storage in the lobby. Rooms are smaller than Tokyo, but that’s Osaka. Lawson’s right next to the hotel. Enjoyed our stay.

I stayed when this was The B Namba Kuromon. they switched owners the day after I left. Everything was wonderful, especially the staff. They helped me navigate retrieving a lost suitcase that had been forwarded to the wrong location. My only issue was there was quite a bit of mold in the air conditioning unit. Luckily, I visited at the end of October, and I was able to cool the room down by opening the window. Breakfast was amazing, and the location was perfect.

I chose this hotel based off the breakfast reviews and I was extremely impressed! Very clean and the rooftop had a see thru floor to see all the way to the street-I should've started my trip on the rooftop before spending so much money on other unimpressed areas! This hotel as in between a few train stations too.
