Studio 6 Eureka CA Old Town

Good enough for a nights stay. Homeless man (wrapped in a white bedsheet) outside the lobby and a locked lobby door was a bit concerning late at night. Not much parking available. Room was clean and renovated - beds were comfortable - bathroom shower was hot with good water pressure. Not too great, but not too bad either.

This may only aply to the ADA rooms. There are no stands for a suitcase. They said it is unsafe to put them in ADA rooms. There is no coat rack and no hangers. There is only one bedside table on one side of the bed. It has no drawers. There are no drawers in the room for clothing. The sink in the bathroom has absolutely no counter, and slopes so you can't set a cup or toothbrush on it. The only place flat in the bathroom is the toilet seat. Parking is very limited with narrow spaces, and a big truck was parked in the one handicapped space. Besides that, the bed and pillows were fine and the staff as helpful as corporate policies allowed them to be.

Wouldn’t stay here again. Parking was tight and often nonexistent. Had to ask for clean linen. Very dark around the area and lots of vagrants

Very clean & nicely prepared big rooms, convenient & ample parking. Shower pressure is a bit too strong and would be nice to have a small table since it has a kitchenette. Overall a great place for the value. Would recommend this inn.

Room was clean. Liked having 2 rooms and a generous amount of space in the bigger room with the kitchenette. Bathroom is large too which is so nice. Laundry facilities also available which we definitely needed. Downside was the noise on the street late at night when we were trying to sleep. Walls seemed a bit thin as we could hear people talking on the landing as well. But overall a great place for us.

Fun little motel. Our room was a good size. Huge bathroom. There was even a kitchenette with fridge, hand sink, and microwave. We had the bottom floor. Not the motels fault but the family with 2 children above us were so loud that i had to let them know. Dad apologized and we were just fine after that. Btw i waited until 11pm. Small parking lot but never had a problem getting one. Just a few blocks from old downtown and harbor.

I was very pleased with the room and amenities. What is highly valued by me is safety- I’m a solo woman traveling with motorcycles and a MTB on an open trailer. Although, like any California city, there is a homeless population , the hotel parking lot is illuminated like it’s daytime. So , I therefore , felt I and my motos were safe. The room was quiet , clean, firm mattress, and a good value . Very nice.

Rooms a very nice, out side is out dated and a little run down

Room was fine, bed comfy... A/C was strong. The microwave was VERY strange... Sometimes I could get past the child-safety instructions easily, sometimes I couldn't reheat my food at all. The area around the motel, not so hot. I returned from a day/evening at the music festival to find yellow police tape blocking most of the property, and cops exploring with flashlights. Had to park off property, was able to get to my room, and locked up quickly. No idea what was going on.

Affordable option with the basics during a road trip to Redwood. Parking is a little bit tight in that square between the buildings. They are implementing a remote agent check-in process that was not working properly, so I ended-up having to check-in with the front desk representative. The motel is located near the highway & convenient to the Main Street area of Eureka. Overall, good experience aside from the check-in delay.

Kitchenette was so great! Room was comfortable and clean. Enjoyed our stay.

The property was very clean and newly renovated. They were pet friendly. When we checked in the office had a very strong smell of body odor. There was a nice little induction stove but nothing to cook with. You have to bring your own pots and pans. Our only real thing we didnt like, was the neighborhood was dirty with a lot of unhoused people hanging out.

This is a budget motel, and about as good as this kind of establishment gets. The room was spacious, the furnishings and fixtures modern. The extra-large refrigerator had a large separate freezer. The kitchen area had a toaster and two counter-top burners. There were numerous power outlets for charging devices. The room was very clean. The bath had a real tub, which I prefer. The main drawback was the closeness to the road. But the windows (with blackout curtains) were double-glazed, and traffic noise was minimal during sleeping hours. The price was very reasonable.

This facility was a total disappointment. It seems that it is a hotel for unhoused people. One of the rooms smelled of pee. None of the rooms were clean. We had to sleep the one night of our stay with the windows open. I will not recommend this hotel to anybody, I will never stay again here, and I will submit a claim to get my money reimbursed.

Arrived to a spotlessly clean room but it reeked of cleaning liquids, I had to open the windows for a half hour to air the room out. Very good internet, television and the beds were great. Loud HVAC in 116, I had to turn it off to sleep. Good deal in a city noted for expensive hotels

Clean room, great amenities! It exceeded my expectations.

The staff at our checkin was very helpful and actually taught us about albino redwoods and how to find one, which we followed his instructions and got to see it in person! If not for him, we would have totally missed out on this once in a lifetime experience. 5 stars to the staff. As for the fscility, our room was clean but there was this smell of strong cleaner and/or mildew maybe during our 2 night stay that kind of burnt my throat and nostrils while we were in the room, so that made it a little miserable but overall we're pleased with our stay.

I detest smelling from the strong cleaning chemical. I had to open the window to breeze the fume out. The bed was very good to sleep and pretty practical to have food stuff such as Kitchen and refridge. The shower is good!

The good… the beds were extremely comfortable and the shower had great water pressure! The not so good… lots of street noise. Found hairs in the sheets and a washcloth. This is a place to rest your head if nothing else.

Rooms were big, had separate rooms, all new. need to have an AC in room with door. Kitchen and bathrooms were nice.

Room was beautiful. Location near Old Town. However, very noisy when logging truck went by. Heater also seemed to cycle too frquently

Horrible beds. Very low quality. No weather strip around door so we got to listen to every vehicle that drove by on 101 Hwy, which i2 100' from the rooms.

Great room and not just for the price! The room I was in was recently remodeled and was in great condition. I didn’t give it a perfect rating because the shower curtain was too short for the shower and water got all over the floor during each shower.

It took 15 mins to check in for a room that was already paid for. We were locked into the office area during the entire checkin process. We needed to use the restroom after a long 6 hr drive

Staff was very helpful, professional, and personable!!

This was the second time I stayed here, the first was in June of 2024 my daughter and I spent a week. It was very pleasant,clean , great staff. This time my husband and I stayed for two nights in Oct 2024. The person at the desk was curt and unfriendly. I had to call today a week after our stay to get the security deposit refunded, as I was say thank you he hung up on me. I won't stay there again.

The gentlemen at the front desk (Johnny I think) was wonderful and even offered to help with our luggage. The room was clean and comfortable but the area of town wasn’t what we expected. Homeless everywhere so even walking our two little dogs felt unsafe. We have never been to Eureka though so maybe that is common.

Property old, un-kept, antiquated, horrible check in service. Check in was over a computer screen from India. Person couldn't speak English clearly, zero personality, ID scanner inefficient, complete lack of personal or professional character. I would Never recommend staying here.

The room itself was very clean and functional and the check in staff was helpful and friendly. The hotel itself has long term stays and is in a very undesirable area. We took absolutely everything in from our car so that there was nothing to tempt a break in. I was charged double for our deposit- should have been charged $150 US but was charged $300 US on my credit card. I only noticed this because I get a notification text from my credit card company for charges over $100. I addressed this upon check in (they charged me a couple of hours before we arrived) and they credited me for the extra charge ($150 US). When I checked out they assured me they would credit the other $150 US that day but said it would take a few days to show up on my statement. I patiently waited 5 days and did not see a credit so I texted the manager asking when he credited my credit card - did not receive a reply. Three days later we called the manager and he assured us that he had put the credit through. The next day the credit went through but it was very obvious that it was not done until AFTER we called. I would not stay here again for 2 reasons - very sketchy area (and activity in the area) and poor management.

Bed and room were great. The two people at the front desk were wonderful. Checking in with the electronic method was very challenging. I could not understand what the man on the screen was saying. His English was not clear. But the in person woman who helped me with the check in was excellen.

Good location but lots of homeless and noise.

I and another female were victims of an attempted robbery on the motel premises at around 5:00pm. He appeared to be one of the overwhelming homeless drug addicts that are all over downtown. We contacted the police and they took a report. This was our first time visiting Eureka, and we were absolutely devastated to see the amount homeless, drunkards, and addicts roaming the streets at all hours of the day like zombies. I did not expect that. Since we no longer felt safe, we decided to cut our vacation short and we checked out today July 26, 2024 at 9am. It would behoove Motel 6 to invest in security patrols to mitigate this happening again. For that, please advise whether you would be amenable to provide a full refund.

Area is very Bose with large amount of traffic on the street. Not for light sleepers.

Studio 6 is a simple but efficient place to stay. Clean (flooring so no dingy carpet). Bathroom was clean. Linens clean and looked in good condition. Room looked like pretty recently renovated. Small kitchenette. You have to ask for dishes and stuff but we didn’t need it as we walked to eat down the street. Would recommend.

It's not the nicest area (right off the highway, at the edge of downtown, a bit gritty), but it's conveniently located and the lodging itself was perfectly nice.
