A lovely old hotel in a beautiful town. Ample parking and a warm welcome. The room was well equipped and the bed very comfy. The shower was electric, the water flow was only adequate. I had dinner which was excellent, as was the real ale and the range of wines. The service was friendly but at times it was difficult to gain attention.

Lovely hotel in the heart of Painswik. The staff was wonderful and we enjoyed our stay. This is a very old building, so there is no lift. We were on the top floor, so a bit of a hike. Probably not ideal if you have any mobility issues. The rooms are clean, but small(ish). The shower was awesome. Super hot. Food was good as was the pub. Nice place 🤗

Although the hotel has no life and we were on the top floor, our bags were taken up to our room by the staff. They were all very friendly and accommodating.

An excellent old inn in a beautiful old town. The food was very good but the offering of English wine wasn't up to the same standard. In keeping with the style of the building there are no lifts, be prepared to carry your luggage to the third floor however, the staff did offer to help.

Biggest gripe was terrible wifi. It hardly ever worked. Staff worked hard but one man operation often meant a wait at reception.

It's a quiet, small hotel with large comfortable rooms. The water pressure in the shower was adequate and there was plenty of hot water. The room was a bit hot, but we were able to open the window for some fresh air. Plenty of secure parking behind the hotel. The breakfast was delicious.

Lovely hotel, great little village location, the room was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed, the room was cleaned and fresh towels given daily and the tea/coffee and biscuits were restocked too, breakfast each morning was delicious and we had an evening meal on our last night, all the staff were friendly, polite and attentive. The Manager was lovely and gave us some spots to go visit, we have absolutely loved visiting the Cotswolds and when we visit again we will definitely be using this hotel, thank you for a wonderful stay.

Room was not hooverd in 4 days, bathroom soooo dirty. Whole hotel stinks of bad drains. Sunday roast cold hard and unable to eat. Staff very unfriendly. Rooms tiny and in need of decorating.....would never return.

Perfect little stay for a great value trip. Rooms comfortable and clean and really comfy beds. Breakfast in the morning was wonderful and a great selection of cooked options. We had dinner in the restaurant area the night before which also was very good.

Lovely staff, though ended up paying twice on check out because they insisted that we hadn't paid (subsequently reinbursed - we think) The wifi doesn't work and the evening meal in the hotel was slightly strange. Pork Belly is NOT a fatty slice of pork, chipolatas should not really be the size of a Munich bratwurst and £7 for 5 slices of sourdough and some butter seemed a bit steep. We would stay here again however as the staff are all lovely, the rooms were exceptionally clean and it is ideally located.

Beautiful village setting. Lovely view of church from our room but the single glazing meant there was a lot of traffic noise during the day. The shower was very weak. Comfortable bed. Breakfast was good. We had one evening meal which was of pub food quality but restaurant prices.

The superior room was very charming. We had a good meal in the evening, found the wine nice if expensive. I had trouble sleeping not helped by the church bells peeling throughout the night!! I love Painswick & the Falcon is a good choice if you don’t mind the sound of bells!

Staff were excellent, attentive and friendly. The room was comfortable as was the bed. English breakfast included was delicious and served quickly, customer service from the breakfast waitress was excellent. Evening meal again was really good. The only downside for me was a bit of road noise as I had a room at the front, the blind in the room let in a lot of sunlight very early in the morning and I couldn’t get normal TV channels on the TV( that may have been me not being able to work the complicated controls but all I could find was LG internet channels.) which was annoying to miss the Euros matches that evening.

Pros: good value for money, friendly staff, comfortable, good size room, lovely breakfast. Cons: shower was bad, barely any water pressure and the holder wouldn’t keep the shower up so had to hold it, couple bulbs were either out or flashing. We were on the ground floor and could hear every movement from the room upstairs which was quite annoying.

Some blemishes around the room, Wi-Fi and smart tv didn’t really worry. Shower pressure was absolutely shocking. But overall a lovely hotel. Just not worth the price we paid.

The room was tidy but it was freezing when I first arrived and it took a while to heat up so not a nice cosy warm welcome on a wet November evening. It was only room and no food so I didn’t have a lot of interaction with the staff. In the morning I had to leave early so there weren’t clear instructions on how to check out and no staff were around so I just left my key on the counter. Room was clean and cosy when it did finally warm up.

brilliant location. Lovely friendly staff. Breakfast very disappointing -slow service, no flavoured yoghurt and toast not offered although jam and marmalade were out on table. However the Eggs Royale was delicious.

Beautiful village setting. Lovely view of church from our room but the single glazing meant there was a lot of traffic noise during the day. The shower was very weak. Comfortable bed. Breakfast was good. We had one evening meal which was of pub food quality but restaurant prices.

The superior room was very charming. We had a good meal in the evening, found the wine nice if expensive. I had trouble sleeping not helped by the church bells peeling throughout the night!! I love Painswick & the Falcon is a good choice if you don’t mind the sound of bells!

Lovely hotel in the heart of Painswik. The staff was wonderful and we enjoyed our stay. This is a very old building, so there is no lift. We were on the top floor, so a bit of a hike. Probably not ideal if you have any mobility issues. The rooms are clean, but small(ish). The shower was awesome. Super hot. Food was good as was the pub. Nice place 🤗

We had meal in the hotel restaurant. The person serving did not bring us our side order despite being reminded we were still waiting for it. Fortunately this was taken off our bill. On our last day the shower was scalding hot despute attempts to adjust the setting. We noticed a door on the landing was kept ajar by a fire extinguisher. Teatowels were left on the bottom of the stairs and could have caused my partner to trip on them as she was coming down. There seem to be a complacent attitude among the staff.

Room was not hooverd in 4 days, bathroom soooo dirty. Whole hotel stinks of bad drains. Sunday roast cold hard and unable to eat. Staff very unfriendly. Rooms tiny and in need of decorating.....would never return.

A delightful place to stay that was excellent value for money. Booked the deluxe room with breakfast , the room was lovely and cozy and had everything needed for a most comfortable stay, a very comfy bed with great pillows! The breakfast was fantastic and had a great choice available, we chose the veggie breakfast which was excellent, the cappuccino coffee very good! The staff were lovely , nothing was any trouble, they work very hard to make everything run like clockwork. We had an evening meal and that was excellent. The village there is extremely pretty and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay again when we go up that way again.

brilliant location. Lovely friendly staff. Breakfast very disappointing -slow service, no flavoured yoghurt and toast not offered although jam and marmalade were out on table. However the Eggs Royale was delicious.

Excellent condition, modern facilities, very nice decor Great customer service Issue: I was informed, pre booking, that room service was available. Very important aspect and turned out this was false, no room service was available. I ordered dinner, albeit, very near to kitchen closing time, and charged £18 for a meal that was thrown together in less than 5 mins and tasted awful. A shame as the staff and general customer service was excellent.

Staff were excellent, attentive and friendly. The room was comfortable as was the bed. English breakfast included was delicious and served quickly, customer service from the breakfast waitress was excellent. Evening meal again was really good. The only downside for me was a bit of road noise as I had a room at the front, the blind in the room let in a lot of sunlight very early in the morning and I couldn’t get normal TV channels on the TV( that may have been me not being able to work the complicated controls but all I could find was LG internet channels.) which was annoying to miss the Euros matches that evening.

Staff welcome was excellent, bags taken up to our room. We enjoyed a local Beer in the Bar. Dinner was rather disappointing, salmon in broth was a small portion & expensive.
