Nothing fancy but it was convenient for the St. Ignace ferry to Mackinac Island. The pool and hot tub were not in good condition so we didn't use them. Room was fine, beds were comfortable. Staircases to second level were rickety but it was nice to have the car parked near our room. Staff was pleasant, breakfast had decent self-serve options. Pretty view of sunrise and Mackinac Island. Adequate for a quick stay in the Straits area. The double room (2 queen beds) is large enough for families.

great views at this hotel, but it is very old and the rooms show it. Bathroom tiles moldy and chipping off, carpet was falling apart, and there was dog poop and goose poop ALL OVER the dog walking area.

When we first got there we wanted to go some where else. The room was way outdated, the carpeting in the room was very old and worn. The faucet did not work right, the shower handle all most fell off, you had to ask for everything, toilet paper, towels. the beach area was all rocks, the kids toys were old and in shambles. The hot tub did not work after numerous times asking them to get it to work. The pool was filthy. We will never stay here again.

Our room are up on the 3 rd floor made it difficult carrying stuffs up , carpet, balcony walkway, and windows were so filthy! This is definitely wrong rating for something that we thought would be decent for not spending too much time . The stairway was also dark with no light at night time.

Black mold in shower so strong you cannot leave bathroom door open. Even then room smells moldy. Black mold exposure causes cancer. In the scent it was in I expect it was in the walls all around the bathroom. Brought to service reps attention she smiled like I was ordering coffeeand shrugged me off. The room also had bugs mostly likely bed bugs Be careful and avoid this one.

The room was full of cobwebs and spiders floor filthy beds from 1960 bathroom corners dirty the chairs were so uncomfortable mostly sat in the car for the view window one window too dirty to see out of the grounds were full of geese poop watch where you step front desk person very nice but the place itself was filthy

All of the cloth chairs, three in our room and all of them in the area where we ate breakfast need a thorough cleaning. They are all spotted and dirty looking. The carpeting in our room had snags probably from an animals. Personally, I will never stay there again.

Not as clean as it used to be. Musty smelling, dust on top of the lamps We were last here in 2020 or 2021 and it seemed much more comfortable. View is still gorgeous.

Property was dirty and outdated . Found dried blood on one of the bed spreads , the shower head and sink daucet leaked. The screen door fell off when opening to the balcony . The room didnt have toilet paper when we got in . The ice machine was not working . The breakfast looked disgusting the fruit was all under ripe . Glad we were only stuck there for 1 day . The view was nice as long as you ignored the smeared up glass door.

The sliding glass door did not lock and security bar was broken. With balconies that connect, this does not offer much security. Dogs below our room barked nonstop. The view is great and we enjoyed the ability of walking to town.

Clean bathroom, mirrors and window, clean sheets. Stop. VERY outdated, rough looking/acting security features. Deadbolt didn't turn, slider on balcony very janky..curtains? Hmm, maybe washed in 1980! Floor carpet is at least 20-30yrs old and smells of animals. Porch light was out. Scary, greenish pool, debris in deeper end quite obvious. Vending and ice machines also outdated 2 of 3 non-working. The one working ice machine was at top of stairs, certainly NOT accessible. Mgmt non-existent when asked for due to accidental 2nd booking/same date & time. Told to check back, not there. Told to call, 2x, not there. Wrote letter, never acknowledged. STILL charged twice, never refunded even though they agreed 2nd booking was obviously accidental. For a wonderful, touristy town just across the MightyMac AND from a Michigander... WOULDN'T recommend!!

Starting with the view which is amazing and the staff, they were the best part. Super nice and always willing to help. That is where the good ends. The hotel pool is not heated- no biggie…but neither is the hot tub! Play area is from the 60’s. Rooms live up to nothing Days Inn or Wyndam. Beds are rock hard, bathroom has not been updated since the 70’s- green tub to prove it- shower knob sits on the edge of the tub with the screw! Just enjoy the cold shower- no use connecting. You feel super clean stepping out to ants and spiders. Blow dryer did not work. Curtains have holes. Most of the lights in the room did not work. Ceiling and walls are paper thin- the people above us ran a marathon in their room starting at 6:30 and we heard every step. They need to reinvest in this property! Or tear it down and start over!

Lock was broken on sliding door. Hotel was very noisy all night long with sliding and slamming doors. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable.

The room was very clean and the staff were very friendly. The bad parts: I couldnt open the slider all the way to the balcony overloooking the water because the tracks were bent, so to get on the balcony you would have to squeeze through how far it did open to get out and staff had to of known because when we got in the room the slider wasnt even shut all the way because it was stuck. The room looks like it had ceiling leaks and were patched up (not very well)and looked like it at some point dripped down on the lamp shade beneath it, the shower head pieces were detached from the wall. The people who had a big dog 2 doors down let their dog start barking starting at around 6:30 am and didnt stop until about what seemed liked a couple hours. Then you could hear the people directly above from us sliders start opening and closing starting at 6am wouldnt have been so bad but they were constantly opening and closing them. At first I thought it was thunder. Apparently they didnt have bent slider tracks like we did. This room was supposed to be a Deluxe room. I dont normally post a negative review but it was awful and for the money paid because it was a holiday weekend could have just been better I guess.

Great view, albeit through a sidelight window. The large glass door window has been covered by painted plywood. Room is clean, beds are very firm but manageable. I wouldn't recommend the ground floor rooms because guests can easily be heard walking around upstairs, which isn't good if you want to sleep past 5 or 6:00AM. Great waterfront area to explore but at $250 a night this isn't my first choice when visiting the area.

This is a basically an old hotel with Wyndham hotel / Days Inn badging. What got me the most is the hot tub is basically located in a shed format next to the pool. There was no lighting inside because the switch was not working. Called front desk and was told by an older sounding man to keep flickering the switch till it stays on. Had to become creative and use our cell phone lighting to light up the shed! No housekeeping service if your staying over night. The Quality Inn down the road looked so much more appealing! Wish I had not been fooled thinking that since this was a Wyndham property that my expectations would be met…

Reached the property handed 2 set of key cards . Both were not working we were waiting outside the unit to 20 mins . The office was closed at 11 . Couldn’t get into the room . After 20 mins the guy broke open the door saying the knob has issues . Then told we cannot close the door and go out . The AC was broken and the room was hot . Had to open the door behind to sleep . Very disappointed paid 250 dollars . Need a refund here

A front desk staff named James gave my room to someone else even though I asked for it and gave him my ID. The room he put us in did not have a drain stop resulting in me losing a valuable item down the drain! Very upsetting! The manager and most other staff were friendly and courteous though.

Wonderful quiet stay. Beautiful view of Mackinaw Island and lakeshore off personal balcony. Clean and well maintained. Staff very friendly and attentive. Will come again! Right on Main Street with ferry terminal and shops and restaurants. Very walkable.

At check in, they tried to tell me i hadnt oaid yet. Had to show my receipt then he said Oh. No apologies. The room toilet seat was broke. Holes on the towels. Terrible hotel. Days Inn has went down hill.

Staff was rude and unprofessional. Rooms are not cleaned every day. Guests are told it is their fault the room wasn't cleaned because guests need to request this- this is poor costomer service especially for the hospitality industry. Faucets are barely functional. The rooms haven't been updated since the 70-s.

The guy at the desk was terrible. I asked to see the rooms and he came back with a NO I DONT SHOW THE ROOMS TO ANYONE. YOU DONT LIKE THEM THEN COME GET YOUR MONEY. BUT IN THAT TOWN THAT WAS ALL THE ROOMS AROUND. We had nowhere to go.The rooms was ok but to walk in so glad to be on vacation and get someone to talk to you like he did just wasn’t right. He talks to everyone like that he doesn’t need to be at the front desk. I’m sorry. The that was in the other room with us she asked him a question and he bite her neck off. The location is good-pretty close to the ferry. The ferry has a free shuttle to/from the hotel. The view of the lake from the back of the hotel was quite nice. The room was OK. The hotel is dated. There are no elevators and we were on the 3rd floor. The breakfast was limited-no decaf hot drinks (no hot chocolate, herbal tea or decaf coffee). Pancake machine undercooked the pancakes. Limited bakery options -just bread and bagels. Hard boiled eggs but no egg dish, no hash browns, no butter. Only instant oatmeal. Breakfast was 7 to 9 and they closed on the dot!

Registration staff was very friendly & nice. The room was clean. Very clean. We reserved 2 queen beds, got 2 full beds. The bathroom towel racks were loose...above toilet and next to sink. The property and beach was littered with dog poop. I signed something during registration that stated I would be charged $200 if I did not clean up after my dogs....I assumed the property would be clean. I did clean up after my dogs, because it's the right thing to do. Convenient location, just a quick drive to town.

Don’t get offered the best rooms when booking thru third party. Had several rooms with better view and balcony that were empty. Hotel was only 3/4 booked. Breakfast only pancakes, boiled eggs, cereal and few fruits. No water just juice and coffee. View of lake is amazing from small dining room and balcony rooms. Nice beach area with fire pits and places to sit and view. Good price for room.

Maybe it was just my room, but the extra lock/latch didn't work, the ceiling tiles were mismatched and had obviously leaked. The beds were certainly not ones you would want to "plop" down onto cause you'd feel the solid section under the mattress. The two lights in the main area did not light it up very much. Breakfast didn't start until 8 am, that seems quite late for a hotel.
