It’s was ok… Plenty of space, cute little property. We booked late and had wanted a waterfront property. We had access to the lake at a public dock two minutes away. Kitchen is well stocked with dishes cooking pots/pans. Definitely need to bring all foods to cook as it’s somewhat remote. It would have been nice to have a better range of cooking spices…

We enjoyed our stay, were a little disappointed with what we thought would be dock access to fishing. There really wasnt any unless we wanted to drive to another location. But other than that we enjoyed our stay.

First, the photos do not do the place justice. The upstairs has been redone and the downstairs is nice and open. Second, have you ever wanted to go to a cottage that has an off grid feel but with all the conveniences? If so this is your cottage. I loved this cottage for that reason. I felt like I was at someone's cottage, not a cottage that was built for commercial reasons. It is a well established cottage in that it is not new, so you do not feel like you have to "be careful" but it is not totally rustic in that it has AC for those hot nights, ceiling fans everywhere, and the tap water is drinkable. The wifi is ok, this is not the place to work, it is slow but that should be expected for being a cottage. If you have a boat, this is a great spot as the boat launch is only 200 m away. If you have dogs, they will love it there. There has been a lot of dog proofing so that is a good thing. Large yard (unfenced) and great quiet unpaved roads to walk. All in all, I loved it. There are a few small things that could make this cottage amazing, but it is all small stuff.

From ungravelled quagmire parking, through cigarette butts and random junk into an uncleaned house, with dirty dishes in the dishwasher, dirty laundry in a broken washing machine, a broken toaster, to unusable wall sockets and a broken bulb in a bedside lamp, mouse droppings, dirt and stained fabrics and carpets, this was unacceptable on the part of the owner, the manager and VRBO. I have rented from VRBO with satisfaction in the past but will be reluctant to repeat this dreadful experience.
