Two Golf Carts ~ Community Pool ~ Pet Friendly

Property was nice, well equipped, clean and aptly described. What we liked: The convenience of the golfcarts was paramount for this GC community. The close access to the neighborhood pool was helpful, especially for managing amd entertaining little ones. The Sandestin resort compound is top notch. This property is a short 5mi from the "town center" of the resort whixh was very convenient. Those of us that desired so were able to get out and take 3-5mile mornimg walkes with variety of paths. What we did not love The 4th bedroom/bunkroom is EXTREMELY small and perhaps should not qualify as a BR given no closet. I would not plan for anyone over 15 yo to reside in that space. The beach is not that close. Its about 2 miles from the house, but still conveniently inside the Sandestin resort compound. We did not go to beach as frequently as I wouldve thought based on the location. However, therr is a convenient underpass that allows you to get to beach on golfcart without crossing main road!

We were informed the day our stay began that one of the carts was broken and a part was ordered to fix. we went the entire week without that golf cart. No accomodatiions were made for this inconvenience. We specifically rented the facility for two golf carts and your company offered no adjustment for this which was extremely disappointing.

Great stay, just a little trouble with the golf carts included with the unit but they were very accommodating with fixing the issues.

Overall the unit was nice and spacious and we enjoyed our time. My issues are: The 6 seater golf cart pictured, and that was promised, was not available. The 4 seater was inconvenient due to the position the aback seats face, No one wanted to ride backwards and not enjoy the scenery. The unit was infested with ants in the kitchen. Lastly, there are no shades or anything on the front or back doors of the unit. Neighbors and anyone that went by could look directly inside the unit. We had to put up sheets to cover the doors. Other than that. We had a great time and I would return

The property itself is fine. Location is great! We had a few challenges that I’ll detail below.1. Parking is limited & HOA is extremely strict. We had two vehicles (per the description is the max) and also had two golf carts (provided by the unit). Because of strict HOA rules, only 1 vehicle could fit with the two golf carts.2. The unit states it will sleep 11, and technically that is true. But the “bunk room” is TINY. Barely enough room to get down from the bunk with anyone else in the same room with you without bumping one another. Bunk room sleeps 3. Unless you have very young children, this was not enough space for big kids (ages 7). 3. Maintenance. We had trouble charging our golf carts because the outdoor outlets were bad. This was never fixed. 4. Downstairs air conditioner struggled to keep up (would not get below 75/76) but Vacation Haven support was very quick to respond and got us going again. The kitchen is small, but that didn’t bother us. It was very clean and beds were comfortable. But for the money you pay, minor inconveniences become a big deal. Especially when the golf carts would not charge & we were threatened a fee for our parking situation, even though the description clearly states there is enough room for two vehicles. While we may not choose to stay at this particular unit again, a family with 5-8 vs 11 people would be a great fit.

The house was amazing and accommodating for all seven of us with extra sleeping space. Two golf carts made everything so easy. Multiple pools, warf, exploring the bay even the mall and grocery store are accessible by golf cart. This subdivision has a tunnel directly to the beach and you can use the pool and restrooms right on the ocean within sandestin. We had a blast!!!

Upon arrival we identified an issue on the property and the team at My Vacation Haven were professional with resolving it. We prepared meals on the premises so there are ample pots, pans, etc. However, we had to purchase salt & pepper, spices, and coffee filters which we have found in other rental properties that we have stayed in the past. My Vacation Haven provides an initial supply of cleaning items for the kitchen and each bathroom had an initial supply of soap, lotion, and shampoo & conditioner which was a nice touch. We enjoyed the use of the golf carts which were in great shape. An added bonus was to stay here over New Year's Eve so we were able to enjoy a fireworks show and drone show hosted by The Village of Baytown Wharf. Overall, we would recommend this place to others and would stay here again.

They continued to make excuses saying they would check and would call us back. That never happened. With two elderly people and 2 small children we constantly had to load everyone in the car for the entire week. I had read the bad reviews about My Haven but disregarded in hopes of a better outcome. After we made many calls we were finally refunded $126.00 for the week missing the 6 seater golf cart. Also, TV in living area didn’t work. If possible I would highly recommend renting from another company.

When we arrived at the house everything was good until entering the laundry room to find a roach on the wall then another one downstairs. We emailed the company to let them know we wanted someone to spray and they asked if there were kids in the house and because there were they told us the stuff they use isn’t safe for kids for 24hrs. We told them we would be gone all day the next day and to spray. No one came out. We emailed again and also called. They wanted pictures of the roaches. By this time we had seen 6 roaches but had taken pics of two of them. I sent them the pics we had and they made a comment about how we said we had seen 6 but only sent two pics. I responded by saying “I’m sorry I didn’t take pics of all of them”. They finally came out 2 days later from the initial time we contacted to spray with some stuff you can get at Walmart. Besides the roach problem we also had issues with both gold carts. I know it states in your contract that they may not be available but this is the reason most people would rent this property. We had 11 guests staying and that was our main reason. The 4 seater isn’t even legal to drive since there is no horn no turn signals and no seat belts. The 4 seater was also not safe to drive after finding out the back was secured with some bolts and zip ties. The owner of the property did not want the maintenance on site to fix the issues so there were several times we were stuck without a golf cart because of that. Overall all guest that stayed here were very dissatisfied with the property and would not stay here again.

Our check in code didn’t work. We called and got a new code but they said they couldn’t update the code in the app. We had a dead cockroach on arrival and three more live large very disturbing cockroaches during our stay. The rental company didn’t respond for days regarding the cockroach concern and even then just asked if we wanted them to come spray. Lots of dishes, many are chipped. Golf carts were great but the sticker didn’t work to put up the golf cart gate at the Grand Blvd, so we just went around through the vehicle gates. Beach chairs and toys were lovely. The pool is NOT heated and was freezing for late March. Nice location to the wharf. Overall we had a nice vacation, and will return to Sandestin, but will choose a different villa.

They had to come back the next day to redo the floors while we sat outside waiting for them to complete it. Golf cart was broken and it was like pulling teeth to get someone to fix it. We had to rearrange plans for the beach, etc. My vacation haven had terrible customer service this time around and never got back to us when they said they would. They said they’d bring us passes for the shuttle and we told them what time we needed them by and they said ok but then they didn’t arrive in time for us to leave. I’m still waiting to hear back about a refund where they promised me they’d get back to me before the end of the day, it’s been weeks! This was our third year here and have loved it in the past but our experience this year was much different, wouldn’t recommend My Vacation Haven unless they get their stuff together. I bet I’ve called them 20+ times.

Great property! Having access to 2 golf carts was essential to a great stay with our 5 children with ages ranging from 15-23. Wonderful beach! And a nice range of beach chairs, floaties and an umbrella. It was extremely nice and convenient to have a bathroom for each bedroom. We used the grill and fire pit in the evenings. Lots of activities! Our favorite was pickle ball

This is a very nice house in Villa Lago. We usually try to stay in this neighborhood when we visit Sandestin. The beds were comfortable, the house is spacious and we enjoy being on the golf course. We were extremely disappointed that we booked this house for the use of two golf carts and there was only one. I would've expected the property manager to reach out to us to offer us a loaner or some type of adjustment for not getting what we had paid for. No one ever reached out. I did not want to spend my vacation trying to contact them. I feel like they should have been proactive and contacted us. We are a family that heads in two directions (beach and golf course) and always look for properties with two golf carts. But I don't want to take away from the beauty of this home due to the lack of communication and concern on behalf of the property management. I did email them on the last day of our trip and still have not heard back.

The check-in process was nice and easy.. The kitchen is really small but functional and stocked. Dishes need to be recleaned as the dish washer does not clean well. The tv in guest room by the front door keep going out due to the outlet it was plugged into. But this was a great location and the host help with everything and came out in no time to repair tv issue.

The first few years we stayed in the same rental, but we have since had to change due to that property selling. This was our first stay at Villa Lago. We have had 1-2 maintenance calls total over the last 6 years, this year we had 5. We had issues with one golf carts making a loud popping noise while driving it and the back seat of the other was missing a screw making it unsafe to travel on. The popping could not be fixed while we were there but the screw issue was resolved. The listing also stated that the house slept 11 (it has since been changed). It stated there was a sofa sleeper in the living room. Upon looking at the photos ahead of time, I used the chat feature to assure that was true as the couches did not look like sofa sleepers. I was assured they were. We got there, and there were no sleeper sofas in site. Meaning 2 guests had to sleep on an air mattress all week (provided by MVH). Not ideal, but we made it work. The AC stopped working twice. It took a second call to MVH to get someone out there (I used the text feature at 8am and after lunch had still not heard from them so I called). The ice dispenser on the fridge had to be fixed by a repair man, the garage door opener had to have the batteries replaced, and the grill outside would not light and required maintenance as well. (we tried fixing most of the small issues ourselves before contacting maintenance). The home itself is beautiful and the maintenance team was professional and great at what they do. The location was great if you will be visiting the wharf, but it is quite a ways to the beach. The view of the golf course was beautiful. Overall I think we just had a rough go round this time. Hopefully all of these small issues were fixed for the next guests and they had a terrific visit!!

Pictures make this home look roomy. Definitely is not. Kitchen is hard to work in. The 3 bunkbed room has no closet or storage for clothes. Outside seating is very small.

Very nice & well designed home in a great location. Super close to Baytowne Wharf (we walked) as well as the 3 golf courses within Sandestin. The house is a true 4BR/4BA with plenty of room. The use of 2 golf carts was perfect for the 6 of us. The listing is 100% accurate and we would absolutely stay there again. Thanks.

We stayed here for a conference that was being held at the Hotel Effie. The house was extremely convenient since we were able to take the included golf cart or walk to the Hotel. The layout of the house was efficient and we enjoyed having private bathrooms for each bedroom. The rainshower showers were a plus!

When we got there, there was only one 4seater golf cart and was supposed to have two carts which caused so may issues with the size of our group. According to My Vacation Haven amenities are not guaranteed , one of the amenities listed was 4 bedrooms so you may get there and only have 2 bedrooms according to My Vacation Haven--We called to get help the first day and were told the problems were out of their control. Either the Property owners were lying or the My Vacation Haven was. and we hve screen shots that this has been going on for 2 months prior to our stay.

We had issues with checking into property due to no web connection. When we contacted number for help, first person was rude and basically said, you should already have this information. As a Judge who was here for a conference with a family locked out, this was not a good beginning for trip. But the second person was accommodating. But it was a beautiful property.

There was a leak all over the stairs and we had use towels to prevent someone from slipping and falling. We also had to wait for a maintenance person to come and repair the leak. We were on our way to a fun night at the wharf. What was extremely disappointing is that we were denied any type of refund or discount on a future stay for our inconvenience. Customer service is not up to par.

Excellent place to stay for a relaxing, fun vacation. Ride to the beach is gorgeous!

House was perfect for our stay. Close to my conference on the Sandestin property. The 2 golf carts were a definite bonus, allowing our group to go to the beach, shopping & restaurants without ever using our car.

Property is clean with plenty room for everyone. Having the two golf carts was great. Located on the golf course, close to Baytowne Warf, and a golf cart ride from the beach, it is close to everything. We will definitely rent again.

Overall the stay was great- Pros: clean, well stocked, beautiful surroundings, golf carts very convenient, Baytown Wharf activities accessible and fun, easy communication with property manager and maintenance. Cons: distance from beach, ice- maker, pool pavement needs different surface (blustered feet)!! Overall great stay- would definitely recommend!

The house was amazing and accommodating for all seven of us with extra sleeping space. Two golf carts made everything so easy. Multiple pools, warf, exploring the bay even the mall and grocery store are accessible by golf cart. This subdivision has a tunnel directly to the beach and you can use the pool and restrooms right on the ocean within sandestin. We had a blast!!!

We stayed here for a conference that was being held at the Hotel Effie. The house was extremely convenient since we were able to take the included golf cart or walk to the Hotel. The layout of the house was efficient and we enjoyed having private bathrooms for each bedroom. The rainshower showers were a plus!
