We loved the very peaceful setting in this area, so pretty. The deck was great for just sitting and enjoying the wonderful views . Also, we liked that we could let our dog out on deck with us to roam free with us blocking the steps with chairs. Beds were very comfortable and it was nice to have the downstairs for other family to have privacy. Sarah was very good at making sure everything was okay with our stay. We would love to come back again.

We booked a last minute getaway to Galena and this home stood out from all the other options! Communication with Sarah was great and she responded very quickly to some questions we had. Arriving at the home, it is tucked up on a hill backing up to a beautiful wooded backdrop. Upon entering the home, you feel the coziness of the home with every possible amenity you can imagine. The lower level has 2 great size bedrooms with queen beds, a full bathroom and laundry/ utility area. Walking up the stairs into the main level is where you will spend most of your time enjoying the open concept of the home along with the gorgeous views of the Galena Territory. The open concept kitchen is fully stocked with all necessary items to cook any meal. Large table to enjoy dinner at, and plenty of seating space with couches and chairs by the fireplace and TV area. There is a 3rd bedroom on the main level and another full bath! Loft area is great hangout spot for children with some board games, toys, and building blocks. Pull out sofa also available. We unfortunately did not get to enjoy the amazing wrap around deck with firepit or screened in porch as it go down to the mid 30's at night in mid October, but that is definitely one of the biggest highlights of the property. Nice gas fire pit to enjoy the nights looking at beautiful clear night sky full of stars. Definitely a site to take in. Since property is situated on top of a hill against a cliff, there is a good amount of stairs!

The property offered all the comforts of home and a great view. Nice open main floor plan and well equipped kitchen. Instructions and labels were so helpful and thoughtful. The close by owners club was a big hit for basketball and game room.

What a gem of a vacation rental! I would highly recommend it and give it a 5-star review! This is a beautiful home in a great area close to the friendly and charming historic town of Galena. My family and I absolutely loved our stay at this home and only wished we could have stayed longer. It was very clean, well kept, nicely decorated and had everything we needed for a comfortable and fun stay. The views from the spacious balcony were just incredible! We really enjoyed hanging out around the gas firepit at night under the beautiful starry sky. Such an amazing star gazing opportunity at night and what a beautiful landscape view during the day! A great place to unplug, recharge and find peace. Note that cell service is a little spotty but the owners even provided a cell phone for emergency use. House was described well. Unfortunately the outdoor spaces was left messy by previous families and their Graham crackers from smore were smeared all over the deck and they left the matches outside. We had to get our own lighter. The coffee maker was very clogged and took and hour to brew coffee, we had to drive to Walmart to get more vinegar to clean it. Our last day the aquatic instructor and a few of the class attendees were completely rude. The signage of the owners club for the pool doesn't indicate that you need to sign up for a lane to swim laps nor that the pool is closed during aquatic class. Recommend leaving a list of rules for future guests to read through to avoid this type of situation again.

Sarah’s place was beautiful! My family loved the home and we had such a great time. Thank you for responding to all my questions in a timely manner. The labeling throughout the home was very helpful and I highly recommend this home to anyone visiting galena. It was conveniently located and having access to an indoor pool was perfect.

As some other reviewers have mentioned, the pictures don’t do it justice. Backyard faces the woods and front view is phenomenal. Sarah was great to deal with and is a superb host. House was conveniently labeled throughout and includes all the amenities you need. Allowing our pet to stay was a bonus. Highly recommended and will book again.

This property and location are great! The house is in a nice, quiet location and private. It was very clean, not buggy and it was the perfect short drive from downtown Galena. Our dogs loved the deck. The owner was very nice, communication was excellent and we will definitely stay here again!

This home exceeded our expectations! It was immaculately clean and decorated adorably for Christmas. We really appreciated all of the attention to detail with the QR codes making it easy to look up everything from the thermostat instructions to how to operate the fireplace! The beds were very comfortable and the home was well stocked. We look forward to visiting again!

Property is really amazing. They have thought of everything one would need to stay and be comfortable- condiments, coffee, s’more fixings, just all the little things. Home is nicely labeled so you can find things. Love the deck with amazing views! Love the location for enjoying the owners club. Perfect place to unwind!

The house was spacious and open. The beds comfy and the dishes and pans well stocked in the kitchen, we had plenty of towels and bathroom items which can be hard to come by at some places. The view… stunning. We ventured out on a hike and explored the trails on the fall afternoon. Loved that we didn’t have a “to-do” list of cleaning tasks as we checked out. Very well labeled and communicative.

Meeting in the middle, this was a superb home for our family to celebrate Christmas together. There was ample space to both gather and sleep. We all had comfortable seating to open gifts, dining and visiting. The kitchen had everything we needed for dinner prep. The property and location are beautiful and well maintained. We would return without hesitation. This home is gem!

We had a Mom’s night away with 5 of us in Galena. The house was beautiful. We kept stating how they thought of everything and had such cute touches on the home. We enjoyed the hot tub and there were plenty of places for all of us to sleep. The view was absolutely beautiful. We would love to see it in the fall. The house was clean and well furnished. Wonderful views of the hilly, wooded countryside with plenty of wildflowers and serenading songbirds. The only real issue was that due to the house being located on a hillside, all the stairs were steep which was a bit challenging for folks in their 70’s.

This is a wonderful home that does not disappoint! The location and views are stellar. The beds are comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you will need for your stay. My family has been celebrating New Year's Eve in the territory for the past 8 years and this home is at the top of our list. Sarah was a pleasure to work with and responded to our questions quickly and professionally. The house was great, very clean and updated. The kitchen was well equipped. Very relaxing hanging out by the fireplace! The host was communicative and answered all my questions promptly. I liked that they even had some fall decor out. I would definitely book this property again.

This was a great location not far from Downtown Galena. My family and I enjoyed the beautiful view with the changing fall colors. Sarah was very responsive and provided everything we could need for our stay. I would stay here again without hesitation!

10/10 loved the stay and property. We had an incredible time and would love to come back. Minor complaint is that the morning of our checkout while still enjoying our quiet morning at the property, a man came to mow the grass. Fully understand everyone has a job to do but we were given a reasonable expectation of privacy and it felt a little intrusive especially without a heads up. Also seems easier to complain about this when VRBO’s main commercial that runs is complaining about Nick Saban mowing and doing housework etc while the family is trying to relax and have an expectation of privacy.

Sarah was so amazing to work with. Easy reservation for our get away (especially as I was coming from Seattle Washington)! The home was so nice. She has everything labeled and it was so nice to stay in a place that thought of everything!

This property and location are great! The house is in a nice, quiet location and private. It was very clean, not buggy and it was the perfect short drive from downtown Galena. Our dogs loved the deck. The owner was very nice, communication was excellent and we will definitely stay here again!

We booked a last minute getaway to Galena and this home stood out from all the other options! Communication with Sarah was great and she responded very quickly to some questions we had. Arriving at the home, it is tucked up on a hill backing up to a beautiful wooded backdrop. Upon entering the home, you feel the coziness of the home with every possible amenity you can imagine. The lower level has 2 great size bedrooms with queen beds, a full bathroom and laundry/ utility area. Walking up the stairs into the main level is where you will spend most of your time enjoying the open concept of the home along with the gorgeous views of the Galena Territory. The open concept kitchen is fully stocked with all necessary items to cook any meal. Large table to enjoy dinner at, and plenty of seating space with couches and chairs by the fireplace and TV area. There is a 3rd bedroom on the main level and another full bath! Loft area is great hangout spot for children with some board games, toys, and building blocks. Pull out sofa also available. We unfortunately did not get to enjoy the amazing wrap around deck with firepit or screened in porch as it go down to the mid 30's at night in mid October, but that is definitely one of the biggest highlights of the property. Nice gas fire pit to enjoy the nights looking at beautiful clear night sky full of stars. Definitely a site to take in. I used to own a vacation rental property, so I know what goes into it. The owners here have a true gem and they maintain it amazingly. This is one of the best vacation rental properties I’ve ever stayed at. If I ever end up in the area again, we’ll definitely be staying. It’s close to Chestnut Mountain and Galena, awesome views and area!

What a gem of a vacation rental! I would highly recommend it and give it a 5-star review! This is a beautiful home in a great area close to the friendly and charming historic town of Galena. My family and I absolutely loved our stay at this home and only wished we could have stayed longer. It was very clean, well kept, nicely decorated and had everything we needed for a comfortable and fun stay. The views from the spacious balcony were just incredible! We really enjoyed hanging out around the gas firepit at night under the beautiful starry sky. Such an amazing star gazing opportunity at night and what a beautiful landscape view during the day! A great place to unplug, recharge and find peace. Note that cell service is a little spotty but the owners even provided a cell phone for emergency use. Such a serene and comfortable place to stay that has so much to offer! Thanks to the owners for sharing their wonderful place!

The house was clean and well furnished. Wonderful views of the hilly, wooded countryside with plenty of wildflowers and serenading songbirds. The only real issue was that due to the house being located on a hillside, all the stairs were steep which was a bit challenging for folks in their 70’s.

Property is really amazing. They have thought of everything one would need to stay and be comfortable- condiments, coffee, s’more fixings, just all the little things. Home is nicely labeled so you can find things. Love the deck with amazing views! Love the location for enjoying the owners club. Perfect place to unwind!

The house was spacious and open. The beds comfy and the dishes and pans well stocked in the kitchen, we had plenty of towels and bathroom items which can be hard to come by at some places. This home exceeded our expectations! It was immaculately clean and decorated adorably for Christmas. We really appreciated all of the attention to detail with the QR codes making it easy to look up everything from the thermostat instructions to how to operate the fireplace! The beds were very comfortable and the home was well stocked. We look forward to visiting again!

House was described well. Unfortunately the outdoor spaces was left messy by previous families and their Graham crackers from smore were smeared all over the deck and they left the matches outside. We had to get our own lighter. The coffee maker was very clogged and took and hour to brew coffee, we had to drive to Walmart to get more vinegar to clean it. Our last day the aquatic instructor and a few of the class attendees were completely rude. The signage of the owners club for the pool doesn't indicate that you need to sign up for a lane to swim laps nor that the pool is closed during aquatic class. Recommend leaving a list of rules for future guests to read through to avoid this type of situation again.

Meeting in the middle, this was a superb home for our family to celebrate Christmas together. There was ample space to both gather and sleep. We all had comfortable seating to open gifts, dining and visiting. The kitchen had everything we needed for dinner prep. The property and location are beautiful and well maintained. We would return without hesitation. This home is gem!

Perfect location for our girls getaway! We experienced no problems during our stay. Spacious bedrooms, comfortable space to gather, and convenient kitchen were a plus. We especially enjoyed the fire pit and hot tub.

We had a lovely stay over Easter weekend. The house was spotless and comfortable. We enjoyed the view of the valley, the proximity to the Owner’s Club for swimming, and the hot tub. Our dog and kids enjoyed exploring the yard and seeing wild turkeys and deer in the woods. Would definitely stay again.

The home was perfect for a family getaway! We appreciated the well stocked kitchen and bathrooms. Overall ample space to relax and lots of cozy blankets. The hot tub was as expected. Great communication and information on all the house gadgets. Access owners club and activities was a perk when the weather was cooler/between seasons for nearby activities.
