Overall a really amazing hotel. The staff working the front desk and lobby were all exceptionally well-trained and friendly. Our check-in was quick and easy and the room was beautiful and very clean. Lots of room, high ceilings, 2 Juliet balconies, rainfall shower and lovely toiletries. Also, the piano bar is a nice place to get some champagne and beautiful cakes/pastries. We'd definitely stay here again in the future.

The checkin was very easy. The staff was very helpful and ensured we were comfortable throughout the stay. The valet parking was at both dropoff and pickup. The bar staff were very accommodating and friendly. At checkin, we asked about the christmas markets and were given a map with the locations. This made it easier to navigate around the area. Everyone in the party enjoyed the relaxed environment.

Great downtown location easily accessible by train. However if you arrive by car, it’s a different story. The access to the hotel is virtually impossible. We had to call the hotel to ask how we got to the front desk!

This hotel is unbelievable. Excellent in every way. The property is very luxurious and well deserving of their 5 stars. It is perfectly kept up, great amenities, unbeatable location, clean and well appointed. But what I was most impressed by was the staff. They were obviously hand picked and trained to maximize guest experience. In every interaction I was shocked by both their courteous nature and their professionalism. This hotel even has a decent gym which I find rare in Europe. It’s expensive but worth every penny for the unique experience. I will definitely be coming back on my next visit to Cologne. Thanks again for the wonderful stay.

It’s located right in front of the dome and next to the train station so the location was perfect. As a 5 star hotel though, the internet connection was sporadic and I had to ask for tea. There was no complimentary coffee either. And the front desk staff members did their job. The room was rather outdated and showed wear and tear. I hated the big ole’ heavy key, but some might find them charming.

We loved our time at this hotel. Everybody was so very nice and welcoming. The hotel was immaculate. The breakfast buffet was superb, with delicious fresh foods and many options, including a full vegan buffet. The servers were very attentive and friendly. It was the best stay we had in Europe.

Very nice hotel, large rooms, great staff! Location was amazing. It is a very short walk from the train station, and is steps from the Cathedral. We went to Cologne to visit their fantastic Christmas markets and were not disappointed. The two best ones were in walking distance and we had a wonderful time, going back to our room several times during the day because it was so convenient. We would definitely stay there again.

The hotel is pure luxury. The location is excellent just across from the cathedral. It is a beautiful building. The lobby is quiet elegance. The staff are professional and friendly. The food at the breakfast buffet is very good. The bed is very comfortable. I had a junior suite with window/doors opening toward the Dom. No bathtub.

The waiters ignore you, make you wait for ages, then don't take your order properly and still charge you. We overheard another customer complaining about the service too. Terrible check in. We waited for ages and then when we got to the front of the queue the receptionist ignored us and started speaking to her colleague so we went to someone else who wasn't really any better. And they said that they needed €150 deposit which would be refunded after 6 weeks. The room was too small for a queen and it was extremely hot. They couldn't do anything about it so we couldn't sleep well because it was one temperature the whole time, too hot. The only good reason to stay in this hotel is the location. It's about a 5 min walk from the central station and very close to the cathedral and city centre. But other than that, I wouldn't recommend staying here because the customer service does not exist.

A bit surprised at lack of amenities. The room was rather small and oddly shaped. There were no robes nor even a simple shower cap. Having stayed in some other five-star hotels for less money in both Berlin and Brussels, it was disappointing. The bar and common sitting areas were also very tight.

What a beautiful place. We were offered an upgrade and agreed but felt the desk person was being a bit underhanded about it. Sure enough, the amount he told us was much less than the outrageous price we paid. We should have checked into it more before we agreed but felt that a 5-star hotel would be more concerned about its pristine reputation than conning foreigners out of some money.

This hotel is across the street from the cathedral and the location is in the heart of the city. You can literally walk from the train station to the hotel in 5 mins or less and this was super convenient as we had luggage with us. The staff was very tentative, helpful and professional. My wife loved the tea time and I highly recommend the 7 course dining experience the food was amazing and we left so full we could barley walk. Overall, I will be staying here again on my next trip.

It is close to the train station and the busy Cathedral Cologne and there can be some sense of a lot of people - but once you step inside it\'s a fabulous retreat. Great service, we had a beautiful room. The breakfast is very expensive and just "okay" so go across the street to the Cafe Richard. Close to the "historical sections" and close to the water. Would stay here again for sure.
