SLO HOSTEL Bordeaux

The staff were genuinely friendly, and the bed was very comfortable—complete with a privacy curtain that made it feel cosy and private. I appreciated the spacious storage setup: two lockers and a drawer provided plenty of room for my belongings. Despite being in a bunk bed, I didn’t notice any squeaking or movement when someone used the top bunk, which made for a restful experience. The blackout shutter on the window blocked out light completely, and the road outside was quiet at night—perfect for uninterrupted sleep. The only thing I’d suggest is adding one more bathroom and shower room, especially for busier periods. Location-wise, it’s not too far from Bordeaux city centre. I actually enjoyed the 40-minute walk into town—it was a pleasant way to start the day.

Lobby is large and also with a working area. Behind check in counter is the bar for beer and soft drinks. Check in time is 1500 come early has to stay in lobby area. Only down side is room doesn’t have air conditioning and you have to open the window. Overall is clean and well maintained, already came back to second time.

Tout a été parfait. La wifi, la zone co-working où l'on peut aussi bien manger que travailler, même la musique d'ambiance. J'ai apprécié que les lits soient séparés de la salle de bain, qu'il y ait 2 lavabos équipés de casiers fermés pour pouvoir mettre ses affaires de toilette et la douche (chauffée) et les toilettes séparées. Les dortoirs sont très calmes même ceux situés en face de l'ascenseur. Le personnel, jeune, est très pro, très réactif, aux petits soins pour leurs clients, ce qui est extrêmement rare aujourd'hui. Idem pour les femmes de ménage, très sympathiques. La mise à disposition d'un micro-ondes ainsi que de la vaisselle compense l'absence d'une cuisine commune.

Overall, the facilities were very good in this hostel: the bed was very comfortable and the shower great, in fact too hot (which you can't always say). I liked the idea of the curtain per bed as it offers good privacy. I liked the fact that there was a happy hour involving cocktails but only on Tuesdays and I arrived at the hostel at 21.45 pm but had to wait at the check in until the person in front of me had finished so that ended up being 22.00 when the happy hour was over so I couldn't get a cocktail or a coffee as the cafe closed at 22.00 so a little bit annoying. The female staff member who gave me loads of helpful info the following morning was very good. She also allowed me to print a copy of my boarding pass at reception which was handy. Poss improvements: I was disappointed that a basic breakfast wasn't included in the room price (even a tea/coffee and croissant). It would be nice to have free tea/coffee offered to tourists all day similar to other hostels as it's a nice extra. When I checked in at reception, I had to wait about 15 minutes as there was one person in front of me but the conversation seemed to go on for longer than was needed. Then, when I got the card for the room, it worked in the lift but not in the door. One of the ladies in the room opened the door and all said that they all had the same problem when checking in. I had to go back down to reception. You probably need to point this out to the younger staff member (girl) who checked me in.

Arrived here around 5pm as my air b and b was a, single room with me sleeping on the floor so I decided to check out this hostel after a good friendv told me and reading the reviews I checked in it was easy the staff amazeing, room a little cramped sleeping areas clean roomy and a curtain for privacy I used the down stairs toilet as out toilet to our room was engaged. I stayed for one night had breakfast at 7.50 euros carnt fault it good selection of jucied bread cheese ham cereal ect. Also thier is a happy hour on the evening from 6 till 10. All in all a great stay.

Clean rooms and bathrooms, workers friendly and helpful, easy to find from tram, near Cite du Vin and a nice food market, great lobby/lounge area with wifi, restaurant and a microwave (no fridge for guests tho).

It is a bit far away from the train station, but easy to get there using a city bike (1 €). Excellent clean rooms and facilities, lots of safe storage available for your stuff. There are even curtaibs for your privacy on the bed.

You need an automatic button for the storage so we don’t have to waste time looking for key when your staff are always playing hide and seek. Unlike other hotels, reception is always away from the desk. You need someone sitting there for hours.

Les dortoirs sont propres, récents et fonctionnels. Deux regrets : les box se ferment avec un code à chiffres que l 'on doit gaire et refaire devant ceux qui partagent votre chambre ce qui n'est pas idéal. Le petit dejeuner, à tarif tres raisonnable (7.5€) est par contre tres basique : yahourts, jambon,fropage, pain, viennoiseries, jus de pomme et orangew boissons chaudes, cereales, lait beurre et confitures. Des fruits frais et quelques extras seraient bienvenus.

The hostel was clean and comfy. It’s a 15 minutes tram ride to city centre which is very convenient and there are CCTV/lockers available so it’s very safe too. Only issue seems to be that you share 2 showers amongst I’d imagine ~30 people when the hostel is fully booked. That said, would highly recommend and the stay was very nice!

Toujours aussi bien. Le personnel toujours aussi sympathiques, réactifs et souriants. Petit point noir : le ménage au niveau des lits laisse à désirer.

L’auberge est tres bien située, calme . La chambre de 8 personnes est moderne. Douche et wwc à l’interieur. Tres propre. Le personnel tres accueillant, sympathique, disponible. Les salons trés bien pensés,pour la tranquilité. Pt dejeuner tres bien . J’ai passé une trés bonne soirée. Je recommande ss hésitation.

We had a really nice stay. The accommodation wss clean comfortable and safe.the price was excellent. We would definitely come here again.

Séjour de une nuit pour une visite de bordeaux, hôtel bien mais le système de refroidissement d'air est inexistant, aucune aération. Il faisait plus chaud à l'intérieur qu'à l'extérieur. Je déconseille si les températures à Bordeaux dépassent les 30 degrès.

Déçue du très court passage dans l'hôtel dont je nai pas pu profiter de la chambre car la climatisation ne fonctionnait pas depuis plusieurs jours et pas réparée. Nous avons eu un petit ventilateur qui ne braissait que de l'air chaud. Il faisait plus de 30 degrés, ayant des problèmes respiratoires et suffocation dû a la chaleur. Nous avons dû quitter l'hôtel dans la précipitation dans profiter de notre chambre, sans remboursement ni geste commercial. Frais supplémentaires pour trouver un autre hébergement dans un autre établissement.

Excellent hôtel ( auberge de jeunesse) super pour passer un excellent séjour en famille à Bordeaux. Nous étions 6 ds 1 dortoir très bien équipé (casiers de rangement 2 / personne, 2 lavabos 1 ds la chambre ,l'autre ds la salle de bain privative, le tt nickel. Seul bémol ventilation trop forte impossible de la régler soi même. En Février c'était un peu frais. Prévoir serviettes de toilette sinon location 3€ pièce Je recommande cet hôtel accueillant à 2 pas du centre ville vers la cité du vin non loin des quais Personnel à l'écoute très sympathique Petit déjeuner super pour 7€50 Merci à l'hôtel WHOO Bordeaux Bacalan Expérience à renouveler

La tranquillité. L'atmosphère conviviale. Par contre, la ventilation dans les chambres étaient désagréables

The rooms are small but clean. The staff are amazing!!the place has a great lounge. It’s also residential so very safe. Highly recommend.

Location is very good. 1 minute to wine musuem and tramvay stop. Old town is 45 minutes away from the hostel on foot. Walking to old town is very nice. Staff is very friendly. The dorm room there's bathrroom and curtain at bunk. Would definitely stay there again.

Séjour sur lit du haut en dortoir pas apprécié. Demande de changement impossible. Accueil injoignable au numéro de téléphone pour toute demande.

1) Worst receptionists of all hostels. The guy saw I had been waiting for check in for a while, after he finally came back, he chose to work in kitchen instead. He never lifted a finger to help store luggage. He never bothered to tell me anything else other than room number. 2) The first time I ever heard from a hostel that to borrow a hairdryer you need to give your ID to receptionist (woman). My ID is worth more than 10 euros. 3) the shower is same as those in jail. 4) bear in mind, if you come back late at night, the bus can’t come because the bridge is blocked everyday at certain time. 5) their entrance has stairs. 6) overall everyone here is cold and rude. Else is ok.

Bel accueil, hôtel situé dans un quartier jeune et dynamique. Belle ambiance. Je recommande fortement.

All events for promotion in the elevator was old, the area was loud at night with screaming people and cars and it was difficult to find a good place for dinner. BTW the bed and stuff around the room was good

Buenas instalaciones con todo lo necesario. El personal fue muy amable y dos de los recepcionistas hablaban perfecto español. Aunque me hubiese gustado tener cerca algún supermercado y más opciones en los alrededores para comer, está bien conectado por medio de tranvía.
