Apartment is clean, nice design, good size. Building is secure and we had east parking access. However the advertised smart TV only shows free to air TV with no wifi connection if ability to stream Netflix etc, except if you have a laptop and bring your own HDMI cable. Toilet didn’t flush properly. Safe (with valuables inside) stopped working and would not open. Staff were nice but did not know much about the area or how to fix anything and it wasn’t possible to get the handyman out on the weekend to assist, which is when I assume most people book a stay. The area is not so nice so we wanted a good safe hotel and paid a premium for this. Not worth the steep price.

Unfortunately the air con didn’t work, was 35 degrees outside and the room was a sauna, there was no other rooms available so I did have to move hotels, the rooms I have used here plenty of times, but the heat was unbearable. Other than that the property is clean and good for stay.

Rooms are good size. Unfortunately when I checked in, near the dining table was not vacuumed, crumbs all over that corner. Trash can foot petal was half broken, making it hard to open and close the bin. (I had to fix this myself) Asked reception for fresh towels & a toilet roll they said they’d organise for housekeeping to drop off fresh towels, left the hotel came back 3 hrs later and still no towels were placed in my room. When I asked for fresh towels downstairs, felt like I was being a burden… For the price I paid, I expected more.

The unit was really nice and very comfortable. It was well appointed and had everything that I required for my 9 day stay. The position was great also with close proximity to Church Street and the restaurants etc. The only criticism I have is the strong damp smell in the bathroom which was coming from the waste in the shower. I would say that has never been cleaned and more regular cleaning of the waste is required. Otherwise a very comfortable unit and I wish I had stayed here before when I was working in the western Sydney area.

Central location with parra riverside not a far stroll away as well as trains. Great range of resturants nearby and room was spacious and comfortable. Check in was easy. Location felt safe and was and quiet at night. Only downside: Fridge wasn't working. I only noticed this on the last night after hours. I'm sure if I reported it, It would have been fixed.

The property itself was clean and comfortable. however if your a light sleeper this isnt the place for you. The walls were super thin and all I could hear was nextdoor dragging their( I assume )chair across the floor all the time . Also I dont think the windows were double glazed so I could hear the noise from outside. Woken up several times by delivery trucks in the morning etc etc. I coped with this by wearing ear plugs and trying to use white noise to block out the sounds. Unfortunately there is a few people that liked to hang around the back Of the building. This can make You feel unsafe at times. The staff were friendly and the property was in a very good location

Stayed four nights. The friendly staff made us welcome from the beginning to the end. Our apartment was clean and had all the things we needed. We knew it was not serviced but the lovely cleaning staff provided any extras we needed including clean towels. We left something behind and Punthill reception sent an email and let us know. Staff very honest thank you. We would happily return.

I really enjoyed my stay at Punthill Parramatta. People there are nice and very welcoming. The manager, Christine and her team were very helpful. Hotel location is excellent in regards to transportation, eating areas and shopping. Beautiful walking area along the river. Would definitely come back.

I like the property to be clean, quiet and convenient for groceries shopping. 10 mins walk will bring you to the train station where you find the main shopping mall in Paramatta.

The punthill hotel was a surprising little gem. It wasn’t our first time staying here but won’t be the last. While the area itself is a bit of a hole, the hotel is great! The rooms are comfy and we love that there is a washer and dryer.
