Excellent pub with great food, friendly and helpful staff and with accommodation and car charging on site - if you do stay here, you'll be recommending it as well

Booked the field view room and was not disappointed, very nice, spacious and clean. Seating area outside room was perfect to relax in the sun with a pre dinner drink, ate in the restaurant and was extremely satisfied with the food and service, will be going back to the Carrington in the very near future.

Lovely rooms, clean and good quality. Lovely little extras like a mini fridge and a coffee maker, which we're both greatly appreciated. Very peaceful and relaxing. Easy access and plenty of parking.

The location is brilliant and the room was big and very clean… staff are really friendly and go the extra mile to help you… parking can be busy in the evening time as they have a restaurant too which is understandable… it is a nice hotel and I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending to anyone… I will certainly be back soon

Convenient that this lcoation has EV charging points. A little on the slow side unless you have a Tesla, but otherwise, it did the job. Only one of the two EV points working tho.

Very nice hotel (a listed building with loads of character) in a rural setting - pleasant bar/restaurant area and very appealing modern garden room at the rear, where we dined on each of our three evenings. We were there in a bit of a heatwave so the opening roof and high-tech ventilation were welcome - the only downside was the smell of cigarette smoke drifting in from outside but there's not really a lot that can be done about that. The room was excellent - they're sort-of chalet style, relatively new so very modern with great facilities (even a fridge in the room, which you seldom see in the UK) and spotlessly clean. The food was also excellent (and not unreasonably priced), and so were the staff.

Stayed for business and with my wife. Will again. The staff are always so polite and helpful. The food is always a high standard. The accommodation was warm clean and well presented, also pleased that there are charging points both high and low power batteries. Would I recommend,YES

Very nice, clean, well-appointed room and modern bathroom with a shower over bath and big, soft towels. The mattress was firm but very comfortable and I slept well. Although I grew up nearby and visit the area often, it's been many years since I last dined at The Carrington Arms, so I took the opportunity to have dinner there and wasn't disappointed! It's well known locally as being an excellent restaurant and its reputation is well deserved. I also booked breakfast, which is served in the restaurant. The breakfast menu has a good choice of cooked options with a hot drink and fruit juice too, and there are extras available for a charge. I had eggs benedict which was perfectly cooked and presented. The staff were friendly and the service was good and very quick from check in to check out. Overall a very nice stay and all for a reasonable price.

Bathroom mirror not lighting up, bathroom radiator not working to dry towels, small issues that did not spoil the stay.Room comfotable. Staff, enviroment, food, wine, beer spot on. Will stay again.

We have stayed at the Carrington Arms several times and it was as good as ever ! We enjoyed sitting outside our room looking out over the surrounding coutryside. The room was serviced daily to a very high standard.

Staff were amazing dinner was amazing but unfortunately breakfast had gone down hill ive stayed here lots and never had an issue after the cleaners had been we had a quilt cover with a big hole and a massive rip and the bedside table was covered in dust along with the bed frame

Property was very clean and well stock for tea and coffee. The staff were friendly and helpful. Easy to park and very quiet even with the pub near by.

Lovely warm welcome from the staff when we arrived. Our room was clean and well set out. All the facilities we needed were available.

Food was excellent, especially the steak. Service was friendly. Parking very easy. Drinks were possibly a bit overpriced. Room was nice except for only one bedside table for a double bed which was odd. The room also seemed to have a connecting door to another room which would bang whenever doors elsewhere were opened. Walls seemed very thin, you could actually hear conversations on other rooms.

Always a nice place to stay. Cheap and easy, it was a little noisy with cars in the car park on the gravel.

Everything was perfect apart from the bed, very squeaky and unstable.

The Room and bathroom are both furnished well.. lovely fluffy towels and the bedding excellent pillows and mattress very comfortable.. and very quiet..

The staff were fabulous, the food was wonderful, but a bit over priced. The worst bit was the bed. It was too hard. The pillows we all lumpy, and the duvet was 100%polyester. This combined for very little sleep each night of approx 3 hours per night.

Lovely room, well equipped with everything you could possibly need. Very comfortable and immaculately clean. The only downside was the room was very warm with no aircon and a small fan that was far too noisy to use

Food great, room is value for money - welcome at breakfast was a little off handed and unwelcoming - everything seemed too much effort, would take 10 mins to set a table which was set for Lunch and just involved taking away wine glasses but breakfast food was great !

Great rooms, but it was a bit of a nightmare to find due to local road works. The food is great, staff are extra polite and very helpful. One thing I wasn’t aware of was the need for ID, as this wasn’t expected on hotels.com. It’s on the website apparently, but it’s not exactly something you check before you travel is it? Anyway, they accepted a photo of my driving license, as I didn’t have it in me.

We took a group here for an overnight stay 08/22 and all was good, everyone enjoyed their stay and said they would happily return. We returned 08/23 and one or two of our party had cause to complain about check in, muddled rooms, being interrupted during dinner to make payments etc. However, we felt confident in being able to stay again this year, sadly, all were disappointed this time around and we will seek alternative accommodation next year. On our first evening we were hemmed into the bay window area for our pre booked meal and the restaurant was incredibly smoky from the kitchen, food was nice, second evening we opted to eat elsewhere locally. We think "shrink-flation" has effected the breakfasts too. We were surprised upon checking out at reception to be asked to pay extra for a second cup of coffee and an extra slice of toast. When queried with the owner he agreed there should have been 2 slices with whatever I had not just 1 and he took the £1.20 or so off our bill. He made a point of telling us that we had already had a bargain breakfast price (we prebooked and I could show the screenshot of the agreed price) so I'm not sure why he felt the need to bring this up in public and make us feel uncomfortable. Our other friends had been charged for an extra coffee with his breakfast, despite not having fruit juice on either morning, and the owner wouldn't budge because he told them he wasn't making as much profit as before! Our bathroom had a leaky toilet pipe.

We would recommend the Carrington Arms – especially at the price of the room, which was extremely reasonable and overall, we enjoyed our stay, with a couple of tiny niggles… Check-in took a wee while, as the reception area was the bar and we had to wait for a few customers to be served before finally being noticed, welcomed and given the key to our room. After a long drive, I was anxious to dump our bags, freshen up and have a nightcap myself. It was worth the wait, though. The room was spacious, clean and bright, with a well-appointed bathroom and good storage. The bed was comfortable and we slept well, although the red light from the TV and a blue light from something else was a little distracting at first. Breakfast was first class and the service friendly and efficient, which swept away any reservations we may have had regarding the delayed check-in and slightly annoying light-show (which we may have been able to do something about if we hadn't been so plumb tuckered.) Anyway, I'm hoping we can find an excuse to go back some time (maybe with sleeping masks).

Lacking staff. People waiting outside for breakfast 7.30 no one about. 6 people waiting all have places to be in the morning. Turned up late in a rush, terrible service. Room ok can hear people in adjoining room, can hear wind whistling by the door most of the two nights

The hotel is very nice. The staff are excellent. The food was very expensive. £60 for an evening meal is too much.

Great stay at the Carrington Arms, felt very safe as a solo traveller. Great parking and clean rooms. Breakfast options are great! Staff very helpful too. Nice to stay near MK but not right in the city centre when visiting friends.

Slightly off the beaten track, but easy to reach and well worth it. Room very good value as a last minute deal. Bed/bedding sublimely comfortable and clean, and that’s my priority. Good wi-fi. Quiet. Food: good/excellent. Lovely dining areas. Lovely staff. We had a really enjoyable stay and would return if in the area.

Nice hotel, very good restaurant, very helpful staff, particularly convenient for Cranfield or Milton Keynes if you don't want to stay in the centre, and very quick access to and from the M1. Recommended.

Perfect for a night stay over to break up a journey up the M1, nice food and nice room Comfy beds

Lovely place on the outskirts of Milton Keynes

Lovely rural location yet only 10 mins from MK. Our room was exceptionally clean, had a kettle and Tassimo machine, the mattress and mattress topper were so very comfortable, we slept very well. The hot water in the shower was quick and great pressure, large rainfall showerhead, it was lovely. Hope to stay again when passing through

The place lived up to expectations, but was a little difficult to find with the present roadworks nearby.

Love this place have stayed several times and we are coming back in a month.Perfect location for Milton Keynes or Newport Pagnell area.Clean quiet good size rooms.Good shower.

The staff bent over backwards to accommodate us after a very long travel! Food was great although the Camembert was served fridge cold Rather that gooey but was rectified quickly. Lovely staff behind the bar a friendly full of smiles waitress served our table . Room was very clean and had everything I could have asked for really. I will be returning , thank you for a lovely stay

Spot on. Love staying here. We don’t live too far away but a decent meal and then breakfast the day after when the rest I’m rate is cheap is worth staying over for. Go for the steak it’s awsome

We had a great stay at this lovely pub and it was amazing value for money. We had dinner in the evening and the food was delicious. There 9 of us and the service was friendly and attentive. Our room was very clean and comfortable with an amazing range of coffee!!! The breakfast menu was varied and the food once again was fresh, made to order and delicious. Would definitely recommend this place.

Positives..Good location, good sized room & facilities, Well priced per night including breakfast, plenty of free parking. Negatives.. the only negative of the stay was the breakfast in the morning which in our opinion could be much improved by replacing the smoked bacon and herb chipolatas with unsmoked bacon and good quality pork sausages, good old Full English breakfast will suffice don’t mess with it.

Stayed at The Carrington Arms on numerous occasions and the accommodation is clean comfortable and good value for money. What’s not good value for money is the Restaurant and drinks service. They have a steak menu that’s charged by the once, you’re are invited to choose your cut of steak and it is butchered in front of you then weighed and you are offered other items to accompany your choice. The catch is that you’re not given a price when selecting your choice. I’m not sure if £44.85 for a 12/13 once Sirloin and £6.95 for the trimmings is fair. With this in mind be sure to validate the price of the steak before you order. Also the drinks are overpriced. Next time I will eat elsewhere.

This is a lovely place that with a few tweaks could be so much more. The bar very frustratingly shuts at 9.45 and the service can be quite slow. Breakfast is excellent but it again would benefit from being open earlier than the7.30 in the week and 8am at the weekend

I stayed for one night and it was lovely, the room is great and so convenient being carpark facing. I did want to order food to the room but the orders had been halted which was a shame, but plenty places to eat within a short drive. Staff were very polite and helpful, easy stay.

We try to visit at least once per year for the steak counter which is always amazing. Not sure whether the venue has changed hands but the staff were not as friendly and accommodating as usual. Food was still amazing.

Excellent facilities offering genuine value for money. Sensational breakfast. Highly recommend.
