Lovely place, great staff,good gym,nice bar

The Last Drop has style and wonderful facilities. The gym, swimming pool and spar are just excellent.

Excellent spa and gym facilities, the hotel could do with investment and repair in places. All in all a pleasant place to stay.

Obviously the Spa/Pool generates a lot of income for this hotel, but also makes it difficult to find a parking space at peek times. Bar food menu is quickly exhausted if staying for more than a couple of nights and the queue to order food/drink can become quite long, but staff were friendly and room was clean and tidy. Tables used for breakfast service were sticky to the touch which is very unpleasant and you get a feeling that this once very impressive facility is getting a bit long to the tooth in places and in need of some TLC. Happy to stay again if required but wouldn't go out of my way if other options were closer.

Had an amazing two nights, staff on hand at all time's and very polite and the service was prompt. Spa facilities are amongst the best around.

The room was spacious and very quiet. Everything was meticulously clean and the bed was so comfortable. The spa is well worth a visit. The Infinitiy pool was great and the swimming pool was good too.

Poor attention to detail. Rooms need deep cleans. Rooms also need mufflers or hinges on doors! Food is only adequate! Car park is too small and needs better lighting.

On checking in front of house looked lovely. Room 84 over looking looking the drop inn pub was quiet noisy. Over all it was like staying at a pontins , not what we expected staying in a 4 star spa hotel . Spa you had to book your swim slot, upon arriving at the spa they didn't tell you that you needed a £1 for the locker ,and also its £5 to hire a spa robe ..

Had a great stay recently at the Last Drop Hotel & Spa. Very nice spa facilities with a range of different steam rooms / saunas. Choice of food / drink also good and not too expensive considering it’s a hotel. The location is also very scenic with plenty of nice views.

This was the dirtiest hotel I've stayed at in the UK thus far. Checked in late with my family after a long day driving. When we woke the next morning we were greeted to male bodily fluids on the bed, blood on a chair, faeces dried on the front of the toilet bowl and black mould covering the net curtains. We packed our bags and left immediately. Went to reception and spoke to the manager on duty about the state of the room and getting a refund, as we were supposed to stay 2 nights but didnt even make it 12 hours. She seemed shocked by the photos we provided and said it wasn't their standard, but numerous reviews online say otherwise. She said she would refund us. Was a very disappointing stay and it is quite unbelievable that a hotel that was truly rated 4-star would be kept in such a state. We would recommend that you do not book this hotel, and have a serious read through of all the reviews BEFORE you book. Don't make the same mistake as us. Our only regret is that we didnt notice the muck before we slept in the room. It was a horrifying experience.

Room was cold and dated net curtains had mould on the windows full of condensation carpets dirty Restaurant closed and lots of painting and carpet laying going on everywhere Never got free drinks vouchers

The mattress on the room was filthy, with some very dubious stains on it and did not have a mattress topper on, just a sheet. The pillows were rock hard. The room smelt like an old people’s home. The spa was very dated and old fashioned. The lady on reception was rude and sarcastic. The showers in the spa were dirty, there was no where to put your wash bag or towels. No individual changing rooms so very exposed. The food was very nice and the waiting on staff seemed pleasant enough.

Very comfortable room and helpful staff. Plenty of parking but the maze of buildings made it a bit awkward to get to. The only issue was that the printed invoice I was given turned out to be for a different customer which I only realized once I had started to fill out my expenses. Apart from that all was very good.

Property looked really well kept and maybe it was just our room. Room was large enough and bed was really comfortable but…. £200 a night (breakfast is £17.95 per person extra) for a room that had visible signs of water leaks, mould in the bathroom, damaged shower and shower screen, walls and furniture had obvious signs and marks from spillages, carpet had seen better days and hadn’t been cleaned in a while. Even the dining roo Has signs of spillages on the wall that hadn’t been cleaned properly. Probably best to save some money and find the nearest premier inn as this was roughly the same standard. Stayed here for one night with my 1 year old.although they forgot to put a cot in, when I asked they were extremely quick to follow up on this and being a cot a d get it set up. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Clean and spacious rooms. Mainly comfy although no air con in the room and it was roasting so had a rough night. The surrounding area is great, the food I. The restaurant is brilliant. All in all a very comfortable stay and would definitely look at staying here again if visiting Manchester.

Room was noisy could hear next door snoring, and everyone that left slamming door right next to my room from 5am onwards also couldn’t watch tv as was side on to bed so strange

Stayed here as I was working in the area. The hotel and staff were nice. Comfortable bed and spacious room with good WIFI connection, perfect for a business trip.

The hotel, at large, was quite nice and comfortable, but definitely is a bit dated in areas and the rooms, while comfortable, could use a bit of love. Overall, the room was clean and cozy, the staff were very attentive and friendly, it’s generally good value for money.

I suspect the individual experience will depend heavily on the room allocation. We were allocated room 5 in the courtyard, a sort of faux stable block, & were slightly surprised to find the door open on arrival with a door marked "private". In fact our room was adjacent to the housekeeping store, so we got to enjoy the noise of coming & going, including late at night. The room was bright & clean with a pair of good sized, comfortable single beds. Furnished with a kettle, hair dryer & iron. The TV had very poor reception & the WiFi came & went with a very low signal. Unfortunately the room backed onto the outdoor seating area for the "pub", so was very noisy late into the night. It was impossible to close the windows to try to shut this out. It also seemed to have a footpath leading to a staff area directly outside the window. So as with the housekeeping, there were many disturbances with foot traffic, exacerbated by a loose flagstone. We were awoken a 6 AM with high heels clattering past the window. We even got what was presumably a staff member leaving for the day on a motorbike, that was revved right outside the window. These ground floor rooms also have another floor above, & we experienced odd flexing sounds from above. So with all this, sleep was interrupted both nights. On the plus side, my guest enjoyed the spa facilities. I can't comment on the food as we never ate there. So as I said at the outset, the room you're allocated is critical.

It was a lovely place and the only issue was the temperature in the room. It was very warm and the radiators were on despite it being mild outside. This affected my sleep considerably and I would always rather have the radiators off with me then having the choice of putting them on

Need more staff on bar in evening and at breakfast. The breakfast staff should remember they are serving customers and focus on customer service.

Staff not the greatest, didn’t know if we had breakfast , phoned reception for best part of two hours . No answer, even tried calling from mobile rather than room phone. Asked for water for the room , which had gone from freezing to boiling in no time. Told to ask at the bar- charged £4 for a 750ml bottle. Staff not particularly helpful

Very professional staff. A big thank you to Regan the restaurant manager who returned my wallet having dropped it in restaurant a little earlier. I hadn’t noticed I dropped it! If you are ordering a taxi from the hotel then make sure you double check again in the morning if you’ve booked through reception. They kindly booked one for me the night before but it no-showed in the morning and when the morning desk manager phoned to chase the taxi firm had evidently forgotten about it which caused me a 30 min delay (not the hotel’s fault) but managed to get an Uber instead. The food was okay and service excellent. Not sure about the sprouts with Nduja sausage though as a side order - pancetta would have been more subtle. Very nice meal nonetheless. Would recommend staying there if visiting Bolton since it’s a short cab ride from the train station and the staff, rooms and service were all very good.

An average hotel. Service in the restaurant at breakfast was extremely poor. Staff uninterested, miserable and unprofessional for this type of establishment.

The property is situated amid a housing estate. It has a restaurant and bar. The spa was a reasonable size with a couple of steam rooms and saunas; however limited availability on weekends with reduced hours. Unfortunately our room had an odd odour which we beleved was coming from the carpet. The window was open to aerate the room but when shut, due to the low external temperature, the smell was unpleasant and the window had to be reopened. Our room had not been serviced on the Saturday (we left at 9 am and returned to the hotel at 7 pm). We rang housekeeping and reception but there was no reply. We visited Reception and we were asked what we required in the room - which at a minimum was clean towels and cups! We felt disappointed with the lack of service.

Disappointing. Service was below expectations as basic service standards lacking. Should have had a drinks voucher but struggled to get this. Bar service worst I have seen in years & no cleaning of tables done at all.

Overnight business trip. Very cosy hotel, good parking facilities, breakfast was good. Didn’t have time to make use of the pool facilities. Hotel is located beside private housing which seems to be a good area. Would definitely stay again

Room was spacious and clean, beds and pillows were so comfy, staff were friendly and helpful, I would say the only thing was the room was miles away from the bar and restaurants quite a trek

Room was cold and only a single radiator so not perfect. Leisure here is worth the price on its own, Great steam rooms, sauna, pool and infinity pool. Breakfast very poor. Had to wait 30 minutes for something obviously kept warm in the oven in the kitchen - may as well be a buffet, at least i could have seen it was poor and overcooked and just had cereal and toast and got on my way

Lovely hotel for a weekend away. Beautiful natural surroundings, great spa facilities and comfortable room, and amazing food! Was particularly impressed with the breakfast.

Found old grapes and sushi from the day before in my room. Breakfast was £14,95 for overcooked bacon, eggs and frozen croissants and pain au chocolat. Really dissapointing.

Restaurant and bar closed would have been nice to know before arriving! Pub on the grounds was terrible food and service with 35 minute wait for drink alone with food very average

Brilliant facilities , spa is excellent, food in the drop inn pub is excellent too , staff helpful , rooms are very comfy but warm .

I booked an executive double room, it had 3 beds in it when only one was needed and the curtain was ripped. Our friends had a standard room and theirs was much nicer. The communal hallways were tired looking and the breakfast was an eye watering £17.95 each for something you would pay around £11 elsewhere.

Room and spa facilities were great. Had to walkout of the restaurant after waiting 15 minutes and nobody had taken a food order. It also wasnt that busy

Restaurant food is amazing

Room service food was terrible. Was suppose to have avocado, nuts and seeds. Disappointing and well overpriced. Tried to call the restaurant to complain but no answer so gave up!
