We had a wonderful stay at Antico Verbano in Meina. The resort has a lovely atmosphere, beautiful surroundings and a relaxed family-friendly feel that made our holiday very easy to enjoy. A special thank you to Christina, who was absolutely wonderful with our daughter. She was so kind, warm and attentive, and made our little girl feel truly seen and welcome. Those small personal moments make a big difference when travelling with children. Thank you to the whole team for a lovely stay – we would be very happy to come back.

We stayed in April for 2 days at the Antico Verbano, and first impression is the location, which is beautiful. The garden is directly on the side of Lake Maggiore, and I could have stayed much longer just to enjoy sitting by the lake. The staff are very nice, friendly and helpful. The accommodated our special requests, and we were very comfortable. However, everything is overshadowed by the great location, the views and surroundings. We were there on business, but I would return for holidays. Thanks to the staff for looking after us.

En helt enestående skøn beliggenhed på søbredden i en lille by med søde lokale mennesker, en hyggelig kaffebar og aften cocktails et stenkast fra hotellet. Stor rummelig lejlighed, lidt “kold” upersonlig indretning og en lille smule slidt. Men det var skønt, lokalt og lille hotel. Der mangler en stige/badebro til søen. Men der er fin trappe ned og så lister man ud over stenene. Vandet var super lækkert. De nærliggende byer Stresa og Arona var skønne og dejligt at køre hen til. Men vi nød virkelig hotellet som lå væk fra turist fælder.

Die Lage des Hotels ist ausgezeichnet. In der Nähe befindet sich ein öffentlicher Parkplatz, der für rund EUR 4 pro Tag genutzt werden kann. Verbesserungspotenzial gibt es bei der Zimmerreinigung, die während unseres Aufenthalts nicht täglich durchgeführt wurde. Am Pool waren die Liegen teilweise den ganzen Tag reserviert. Auf Nachfrage wurde erklärt, diese seien für andere Gäste vorgesehen, allerdings wurden sie später nicht genutzt. Für Familien mit Kindern ist das Hotel nur bedingt geeignet. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis empfanden wir als eher hoch, insbesondere da Zimmer und Einrichtung bereits etwas in die Jahre gekommen sind und eine Auffrischung vertragen könnten. Das Frühstücksbuffet können wir nur eingeschränkt empfehlen. Aus unserer Sicht bietet es wenig Mehrwert gegenüber den zahlreichen Cafés und Restaurants in Arona. Wer Wert auf ein gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis legt, findet dort deutlich attraktivere Alternativen.
