We chose this hotel for its location that is away from the Bordeaux city center's hustle and bustle, yet not too far away. Tram stop is about 5 min walk. Take Red line to Pessac to go to city center (about 20 min tram ride). The hotel is next to La Cité du Vin. And parking is also right next door which is a big convenience if you come by a car. The hotel validates the parking ticket for a discount (Eu15/day). Also next door: Les Halles Bacalan, a big food court! We had a Gallery room which have a panoramic view of the river and La Cité du Vin.

Mon mari a été obligé de détartrer le pommeau de douche manuellement car l eau coulait mal. Il voyage partout dans le monde et ce n est pas du standing de cet hôtel. Et la piscine est sombre et pas de lumière dans l eau et nous nous sommes cognés à plusieurs reprise vers l escalier et les bancs sous l’eau.l eau était froide ainsi que la température de la pièce. On se faisait une joie de venir pour Noël : quelle déception pour Noël

Reserve este hotel porque tenia una piscina interior y cuando quise hacer uso de la misma el agua estaba fría. Me dijeron que ese era la temperatura establecida para el agua. Con razón nadie usaba la piscina. La verdad esperaba que me dieran una mejor solución.

El hotel esta totalmente descuidado en la limpieza tanto de la habitación en la que un día tuve que pedir que me la arreglaran como en los pasillos de acceso a las habitaciones. Por otro lado en la piscina no tenian toallas secas las que había estaban usadas y sin recoger ya que no había nadie de man tenimiento y en cuanto al restaurante, es demasiado pequeño para el volumen de gente que había, en definitiva demasiado caro para el precio elevado de la habitación no lo recomiendo.

Room was clean and well appointed. They let us into our room an our early and let us check out two hours later than the standard check out. We really appreciated that because we were only there one night. There was an issue with the fridge not working and a window not closing properly, letting in a lot of noise from the Food Hall next door. The maintenance person responded immediately and replaced the fridge and repaired the window. He also provided restaurant recommendations and advice about transportation. Staff were excellent.

En revanche, nous avons été déçus par le manque de propreté dans la chambre, ainsi que par une désagréable odeur d’égouts qui remontait de la salle de bain et des WC. Des prestations à la hauteur. Un endroit agréable. Piscine ok. Manque peut-être un sauna en ce qui me concerne. Apres un peu plus de deux ans d'activité certaines moquettes dans les parties communes ont souffert, a changer pour ne pas donner une impression de laisser-aller. Dans les chambres on se sent bien et il y a une recherche au niveau déco et matériaux. Personnel agréable et serviable sauf les femmes de chambres aux etages qui ne savent pas répondre quand on leur dit bonjour... ça m'est arrivé avec 4 personnes differentes, c'est dommage. Petit déjeuner parfait et complet avec une vue au top.

pas convaincue; la chambre est grande, et en parquet, ce qui est un gros plus surtout que les moquettes des communs sont très empoussiérées ; propreté pas au top dans la chambre : le frigo mini bar retiré ( pas d’info en ce sujet, c’est dommage en pleine canicule de ne pas pouvoir stocker une ou deux choses au frais), poussière pas aspirée dans la place vide du frigo, joints de carrelage dans la salle de bain encrassés. La douchette de la baignoire n’était pas fonctionnelle, brosse de wc usagée. Pas au niveau pour un 4 etoiles. Petit déjeuner : une seule personne aux fourneaux pour le buffet et les commandes particulières, il etait évidemment débordé avec de l attente pour se servir au buffet. En somme, passé le wahou de la très belle entrée dans les anciens sillots, hôtel sans plus.

Great looking hotel in an interesting part of town. Its a 40 min walk along the river to the centre of town but there is a tram stop nearby. We didn't eat there, but drinks in the rooftop bar were good and all the team were very friendly. The room was spacious and clean with a very comfy bed and pillows.

Bel hotel moderne et bien situe. On a pris le déjeuner payé en avance mais après deux jour nous sommes arrivés en retard de quelque minute et on nous a refusé l'entré..ok mais aucune solution alternative nous a été proposé, nous avons trouve ça decevant et nous avons fait canceller les autres déjeuner après discussion avec la directrice. L'autre point qui nous a deçu est qu'ils fournissent de l'eau en bouteille seulement au check in, et nous étions a cet hôtel pour 7 jours...nous avons du à nouveau discuter avec la directrice pour avoir de l'eau a chaque jour. Nous trouvions illogique de ne pas avoir d'eau mais la situation a été regulée. Au restaurant Gina nous n'avons pas réussi a souper parce que toujours complet...et notre chambre, la 124, bien que très confortable, nous offrait une vu sur les bac de vidanges et les employés en pause qui fument, et surtout impossible de se levé tard dans cette chambre parce les livraison et service se font tous à la porte juste a côté. Donc pas super...mais la chambre elle même et le lit sont très bien. Très cher selon moi avec tout les petit soucis que nous avons eu.

Check-in process was easy, quick and great customer service. Room was good, but you could hear next door voices. What surprised me when I checked out the front desk asked to pay the full amount of stay. I have to Explained to her that was prepaid/paid. The little attitude was not comfortable. The check-in staff at night were wonderful. We were greeted kindly and helped in every way. However, the morning checkout was very brusque, but I am sure they are trained to be this efficient. We didn’t know about the rooftop Dining and had coffee and croissants downstairs. After we found out, we just wanted to go look and we denied entry just to go look. I was surprised to be treated this way in a Marriott.

The Marriott Renaissance in Bordeaux was a beautiful property situated near the wine museum and river walk. You could take a 40 minute stroll to town or hop on the convenient tram to Hotel Deville. We finished each night with a drink on the roof at the GINA rooftop bar and awoke to a delicious breakfast served up at the GINA restaurant. For Marriott comfort and customer service, I highly recommend this property for your stay in Bordeaux.

After weeks of often dubious French hotels, this place was a breath of fresh air. Modern. Beautiful. Spacious. Everything I could ask for in a hotel. Highly recommended - IF you have reason to be away from or don’t mind a short commute (tram or water taxi both a 4min walk) to Bordeaux center.
