This place was great. Great location, close to the metro and tram, in the heart of old town, I never met a staff member as the reception hours were reduced due to the new years. They contacted me via Expedia to collect information beforehand so the check in process was done online and code was used for access. Similarly my request to move my bags (I moved from this room to another mid stay) was also executed flawlessly using online communication. Secure bldg, very modernized with amazing insulation. My room actually faced a lively street with bars and eateries yet I had no bothersome noise. Plenty of outlets and shelves, espresso machine and fridge, a nice "quality of life" upgrade for travelers, towels were changed daily and coffee was refilled daily. That said if I have to criticize one thing, it's the design placement of the shower, or the lack of shower curtain and/or glass divider between the shower and the toilet. Perhaps someone taller than me could stand exactly in the path of the showerhead to prevent the water from getting all over the floor and the toilet but there just wasn't any height/angle combo of the showerhead that accomplished that for me. It isn't too big of an inconvenience other than having to put a whole towel on the floor for slip hazard prevention. That was really, really the only flaw I noticed. I will definitely be back to stay again.

In Bilbao for a conference, three nights. This was a convenient historical centre location close to taxis, two supermarkets, good place for breakfast, recently refurbished, clean, room made up every day. No reception: street door, lift to first floor, and room door, all opened with a code.

La chambre était tres propre, tres calme. Par contre, il etait dit que pour une arrivée entre 8h et 20h, le chek in serait fait avec 1 personne mais je n'ai pas été accompagnée dans la chambre et de ce fait, n'ai pas réussi à faire fonction la cafetière (en photographiant le QR Code, j'ai été "renvoyée vers 1 application You Tube dans laquelle il n'y avait aucun tuto) et je n'ai pas su non plus mettre en route le porte serviette chauffant. C'est dommage. Enfin, il était précisé qu'il y avait la possibilité de laisser les bagages à la réception en consigne mais quand je suis partie à 8h30, il n'y avait personne à la réception.

This place is great. Central in old town, close to metro, tram, the cathedral, the Ribeira market, and in a very lively area with restaurants and bars (pinxtos!). I accidentally loaded the Bilbao transit card with too much credit, so I used the tram to go where I would normally walk to (eg the Guggenheim) and I'm thankful the Arriaga tram stop was a 2minute walk from this place. The bldg felt secure, code needed to enter the bldg, the elevator, and the room. The property was very new and clean. Noise insulation was good. Would stay again.

Easy to check in. We arrived during reception hours and wanted to leave our luggage prior to check in and were allowed to check in as the room was cleaned and ready! Room was cleaned daily and we enjoyed little touches like replenishing coffee pods for each day. Would certainly stay here again!

The location in the old town could not be beaten, loads of bars, restaurants and local shops. Having said that our room was so quiet so the soundproofing is brilliant. Check in was smooth and quick. Our room was well decorated, spacious and spotless, the bed was comfortable and linens a good quality. The only drawback for us was the open bathroom, although the toilet had a door the shower area only had a curtain. However this wouldn't prevent me from staying here again.

Great location.The room was interior, with one window with limited access to a narrow wet space between two buildings. There was dust more remarkable behind the towel warmer heater in the bathroom, which was gross. The furniture is basic, with a very uncomfortable chair, even for my child, who never complains about anything. The person at the desk was very welcoming and explained the city's main attractions. I apologize; I forgot her name. The location is perfect.

Very modern, stylish and comfortable rooms in the centre of the Casco Viejo (Old Town). On a busy street but glazed windows kept all the noise out and ensured a restful night´s sleep. A few steps away from bars and restaurants.

A wonderful and convenient location in the old town, but taxis not allowed on the street so we had to drag our luggage two blocks in be rain to get there. Showers are minuscule. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay immensely

The Pension is in a central area of Bilbao okd town, within easy reach of a Metro station or the bridge across to Gran Via. The room was small, but modern with a modern bathroom. It is ideal for a short break in Bilbao.

The AC unit is right over your head and makes a terrible vibrating sound every 20 minutes all night. There is also a weird banana/vanilla scent that seems to be piped through the vents.

Pensión is in the middle of the old town surrounded by many options for eating & drinking. I liked that you had an access code so didn’t have to carry around. Some of the furniture items within the room had seen better days & could do with upgrading, however the bed was comfortable. The aircon made a buzzing noise regularly but we got used to that. It was efficient at cooling.

The code I was given by the property did not work. No one answered the phone for hours, even the emergency number. I finally check in after she resets the code. Then I was locked out in the morning after running out for a quick coffee because the code didn’t work again! No one answering the phone. This system does not work, and is not safe.

A great place to stay. An easy access to everything. However the guy at the reception was a bit cold. Felt like he couldn't care less there was a backpacker standing in front of him. Could be a bad day but I had better.

This property is a SCAM. First of all there is no one to asisst you in your check in process. They only have a person working from 12pm to 8pm. They give you a phone number to call in case of emergency but no one answers until 9am. Then they control you the air conditioner. On an enclosed room they put you heat. It a sauna. When I called to see why the a/c is not cooling they told me they control the temperature and if it was to hot just open the windows. Is impossible to sleep with the windows open because the property is in the middle of the town and you will suffer from the noise of the night life and the cleaning process in the morning. After that, I asked them to let me control the temperature of the room because it was to hot and we could not sleep and they told me there is no need to turn on the a/c because I could just open the windows. Lets be clear, they advertise the a/c as an amenitie on the webpage. After that I had to leave the property booked in another place so I could at least sleep and now they do not want to give a refund. I will not recomend this place at all. Worst service of all times.

I got a medical condition on my eye so i should keep it closed as much as possible until my flight and asked for a late check out. This was met with absolutely no not possible because the room had to be cleaned at 11 am. At 12:30 pm the cleaning ladies still cleaned other rooms, so my late check out was not affecting anything. Also the room was extremely hot and I cannot recommend this hotel because of the service level and noise and lack of airconditioning.

Easy to check in. We arrived during reception hours and wanted to leave our luggage prior to check in and were allowed to check in as the room was cleaned and ready! Room was cleaned daily and we enjoyed little touches like replenishing coffee pods for each day. Would certainly stay here again!

A wonderful and convenient location in the old town, but taxis not allowed on the street so we had to drag our luggage two blocks in be rain to get there. Showers are minuscule. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay immensely

Stayed for 3 nights in early May 2025. The pension itself is fine, booking in & access straightforward, room was in pretty good condition and an above average shower, although some of the furniture in the room was quite lightweight. As it is situated in the Old Town, the big plus is many bars and restaurants are nearby, so nothing is really more than 3-5min walk if you want to stay local. Plaza Nueva is great - with maybe 20 pintxo bars and restaurants. The rest of Casco Vieja was a bit too full of loud music drinking joints for me - nothing wrong with that, just personal taste. Other than Plaza Nueva, there were better pintxo bars to be found across the bridge in Abando & Moyua areas IMO. The street below the Pension did get quite noisy in the early hours, but only on one night did it disturb our sleep. Overall, I would recommend the accommodation, but maybe not for those who prefer to be situated in a more tranquil neighbourhood.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We did have to wait a while to check in and found the hotel quite hot. The location is amazing for getting around Bilbao and suited us for our one night stay.

This place is great. Central in old town, close to metro, tram, the cathedral, the Ribeira market, and in a very lively area with restaurants and bars (pinxtos!). I accidentally loaded the Bilbao transit card with too much credit, so I used the tram to go where I would normally walk to (eg the Guggenheim) and I'm thankful the Arriaga tram stop was a 2minute walk from this place. The bldg felt secure, code needed to enter the bldg, the elevator, and the room. The property was very new and clean. Noise insulation was good. Would stay again.

Very modern, stylish and comfortable rooms in the centre of the Casco Viejo (Old Town). On a busy street but glazed windows kept all the noise out and ensured a restful night´s sleep. A few steps away from bars and restaurants.

In Bilbao for a conference, three nights. This was a convenient historical centre location close to taxis, two supermarkets, good place for breakfast, recently refurbished, clean, room made up every day. No reception: street door, lift to first floor, and room door, all opened with a code.

Brilliant location in the old quarter, a hop from the cathedral, close to the market and bars/cafes. Easy check in, Netflix!, quiet apart from the other residents chatting loudly early in the morning (why don’t people appreciate others may still be asleep??!)

We stayed for 3 nights and the property was spot on. Perfect location in the old town. Right in the heart of everything. Come and go as you please. Staff were generally there throughout the day if you need anything and easy to contact if any problems. Would recommend for people who love an explore and then back to the old town for some good food and drinks.

"Couldn't have asked for a better location! This hotel is right in the heart of the old town, so everything was within walking distance. Despite being so central, the room was a peaceful retreat—very clean and modern with great air conditioning and useful USB sockets. The little balcony was a highlight, offering a lovely view over the picturesque streets. The staff were friendly at reception, the Wi-Fi was fast, and the shower had excellent pressure. Having a fridge in the room was a real bonus for keeping drinks cold. I would definitely stay here again if I’m ever back in Bilbao."
