I would give it full 5 stars aside from a few little things that shouldn’t happen in a 5stars hotel, paying 10EU to access the pool?…weird…we were never offered the welcome drinks that other have had…etc…otherwise it’s a great place overall.

This hotel felt like it was on the verge of shutting down. It was understaffed and even the ones who we occasionally saw were not very nice. Checking in was difficult, getting an iron to the room took them 30 minutes which barely worked and nobody ever cleaned after customers. Our bathroom had sewage smell it wasn’t ideal…The spa and the gym was only open between 1pm and 9pm so we couldn’t use them in the morning when wanted to actually workout and enjoy the sauna. The spa smelled terrible anyways and there was trash everywhere with not a staff member in sight. It’s way too expensive for this experience, go get a different hotel.

Perfekte omgivelser og værelser. Fin morgenmadsbuffet og imødekommende personale. I spaområdet var saunaen noget kold og temperaturerne på de forskellige bassiner afveg lidt fra det, de var oplyst til at være.

Frukosten var ganska fattigt för att vara en 5 sjärnig hotell. Restaurangen var stängt så man fick få ut och öta i snöstorm. Vi väntade 1.5 timme bara på att få 2 morgonrockar så att vi kan använda spa avdelningen som man fick betala extra för. I övrigt så hotellet är jättefin , ren . Det kanske var fel årstid och vara på det hotellet.

The property is conveniently located and has been recently renovated. It is very interesting and historical building. The staff are very good. The gym could be improved with free weights and the hot tub should have jets that can be controlled.

Le. Falta espacio al spa

Whole entrance smells of cigarettes almost all the time. Non working climate control, shower drain just popped off and allowed me to nearly get my toe stuck inside. The place is comfortable and well located, spa was over crowded at all times making nearly unusable.

Really beautiful hotel. Architecture is stunning and room was really good. Location is also great to see all of Budapest and can get to all the main attractions and food spots really easily. Spa wasn't great though and sometimes service wasn't great (like when asking for more towels/robes)

Expedia inaccuratly listed free parking at the hotel, the hotel didn't have any parking! Our room wouldn't cool. We opened the window.

One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at…only one tiny problem- cleaners don’t refill toiletries: shower caps or bathing soap.

Extremely clean and luxury hotel. Near the Danub river and lots of historic sites. Walking distance to the city centre. Breakfast was average.

Rooms were clean but there was some stinky unexplainable odour in the toilet area.

The room was actually clean, when i mean clean, i mean Pristine with care. This is the only Hotel where i really felt they cleaned it well. The people were very polite and welcoming. I enjoyed my stay, and look forward to staying next time too!

I think there are better places for the same cost. House keeping even didn’t empty our bins.

From beginning to end, this was a very disappointing experience. Other than the excellent location and pleasant building, there is little to commend this hotel. The first room we were given had hardly any daylight and was by the bins and service entrance, resulting in us being woken at 5-5.30am each day by the garbage truck and deliveries. The ac also didn’t work properly. They only managed to move us on the third night. There was no apology, compensation, etc. The shower in the new room didn’t work properly. Cleanliness was bad in both rooms and the first bathroom gave me a verruca. Cleaning staff let themselves into the second room without knocking and tried to come into the first room after we’d just checked in. At check out we left our luggage with them but, despite giving us a numbered tag, they needed us to go in to find the luggage. When we tried to book a taxi to the airport they said that they’d booked, but didn’t actually book one, so we had to go and wait while they then booked at the time we were supposed to leave. They then gave us a transfer vehicle which wasn’t what we’d asked for, without telling us the price or checking with us. The service overall was very bad and the hotel was very badly run. This wasn’t the service I’d expect at even a basic hotel.

By no means is this a 5 star hotel. The only 5 star about it was the room size and the breakfast room. We wouldn’t have known this wasn’t a 5 star, if we hadn’t stayed for the first time at one the previous week in Vienna (the Sacher Hotel) - Ana palace wasn’t even close to 5 stars. They did provide champagne at checkin, but the first room they gave us was not the room we actually booked. It was dirty with hair and dirty eyelashes in and on both beds. The rug in the suite room was worn and dirty. Dust bunnies on the floor. Overall massive hair everywhere problem, which may not be big to some but to me it is the really unsettling. They did change our room when we requested…to the one we actually booked, only then is when we realized they’d given us a different room than the one we booked. The breakfast was delicious and staff nice, but even the staff seemed unhappy. There was no one to help carry our luggage, just a very petite young woman, so we did it ourselves. Not a big deal if this were a 3 star hotel. They never changed our sheets the 4 nights we stayed and no refills on soap/shampoo/conditioner when they started us off with nearly empty bottles. They do have a great mineral bath but again not a 5 star level. Overall I would have paid a little more to stay at a true 5 star. The biggest pain is the feeling of false advertising - you cannot say you are 5 stars when you in fact are not, don’t get tricked like we did thinking this is 5 stars, just because they say it is.

Room was spotless. Staff were friendly and helpful, assisting us navigating the local area. Shower was amazing! Hotel was absolutely beautiful and in an excellent location, within walking distance to the bridges, buda castle, parliment building is on the doorstep, the boots war memorial, danube river cruises and many more! Room 112 had a view into the courtyard. Will definitely return in the future

This is a beautifully restored palace in a very convenient location. We were able to walk to meeting points of all our tours. Our room was on a small size but sufficient. The breakfast was delicious and served in a beautiful ball room. The staff was helpful and efficient. Very well designed lighting in the room and bathroom. Impeccably working elevators. We would not hesitate to stay here again if coming back to Budapest.

The room and everything else was clean and well maintained. The only thing I didn't like about the room were stairs, steep angle and windows on the roof only. Other than that, I was satisfied with everything.

Beautiful hotel and room.

The location is great. I like that’s it’s a small hotel with large rooms. The shower is great and the place is very clean! Breakfast is nice. That said, the largest room didn’t have windows and our duplex had ac that didn’t work. It ruined the experience for us in August.

Overall a very nice hotel, very clean and beautiful inside. Very central location. Unfortunately whilst my boyfriend was in the shower, the water leaked everywhere. It flooded the entire room from the bathroom to the bedroom. It is our understanding that the seal was faulty. we called reception and when the staff came up they tried to say it was my boyfriend’s fault , and seemed quite condescending. Luckily, they moved our room but we missed our dinner reservation as a result. Another thing is we came back to our room after it had been made up. We were asleep in the afternoon and a woman (staff member) walked into our room after knocking once. We know it was not a maid as she was wearing a suit. We do not know why she came into our room.

I don’t know how this hotel get 5 stars. We’re pulling in - no one waiting for us at the front. First thing I see after we get inside with our luggage is 10 step stairs and no elevator to take our luggage up. Went up to the front desk to ask about trouble carrying my luggage and get answers that shocked me: currently we have no person to help you. It was young girl and young man behind the desk and it never crossed their mind to offer help! Plus carrying out suitcases through longest hallways… Room and breakfast were good. Checkout was same process in reverse

The Aurea Ana is a beautiful hotel in a very good location. We were convenient to shopping and restaurants. The breakfasts were very good, And the hotel restaurant was comfortable, good food and the service was exceptional. The only issues we had, the room was pretty but seemed small and crowded. The front desk was under staffed, and the early person at the desk was not helpful with our check out at all. We had to get all our bags from the room, and down the stairs to the cab ourselves. I would recommend the hotel and probably stay again.

ZUBAIR was the greatest front manager, was really helpful, and made the stay perfect

Aurea Ana Palace is a beautiful hotel, the building itself is truly stunning, from the second you walk through the door you are surrounded with amazing architecture, wide staircases and beautiful decor. The staff are very friendly, professional and welcoming. The room we had overlooked a courtyard, it had a very large and very comfortable bed, the bathroom was well appointed and had a good selection of toiletries. Both the bedroom and bathroom were very clean. The breakfast room or should I say Ballroom is very impressive and makes your breakfast an experience in itself before you even start to eat, the food was very good and of a high standard again the staff were very friendly. Location was great, right next to the parliament building on the river. The walk into the centre of Budapest is approximately 10mins. If you’re looking for a hotel in Budapest look no further. 10/10

Top class hotel. Couldn't find a fault if i tried. All friendly staff were equally helpful. If i manage to go back to budapest then i will go back here.

The customer service was first class, i was given a free upgrade to a suite which was beautiful, the hotel also arranged for my taxi to the airport. The location of the hotel was perfect and in an area that felt safe as a solo female traveller.

the area was nice overall.. a little too quiet at night (i was a lone woman walking and there were some scary homeless people). i did like the room.. it was very clean! the people at the front desk were quite angry and cold though

Hotel location is very convenient, less then 5 mins walk to the river and the Parliament building. Very grand building, despite the understated entrance from the street. Fantastic breakfast room, and excellent breakfast, a must do at least once in your stay. Room very comfortable, well equipped and beautifully decorated. Staff were very helpful when our luggage did not arrive on the plane; they made several phone calls for us to try and expedite the delivery. Nice lounge bar with good food and choice of drinks. Would return to this hotel.

Really excellent hotel.it starts with checkin...friendly , efficient, informative. The rooms are spacious and well equipped. The bathroom was spotless and again well equipped. The shower was the best I've had anywhere in the world. Would love to install mechanism at home. Breakfast in a magnificent room and the food to match. A wonderful stay.

Superfint hotell med jättetrevlig personal! :) Rummet och hotellet generellt kändes lyxigt. Läget var toppen. Det som vi tyckte var mindre bra var frukosten - äggröra gjord på pulver och utöver det var det mestadels bakverk och annat sött (vi föredrar ”nyttig och fräsch frukost). Vi skulle absolut kunna tänka oss att bo här igen, men inte äta frukost. :)

A wonderful location. The breakfast dining room is beautiful and a nice selection of foods. The bed is a little hard but sufficient. Because it is a block or two from the sites, it is relatively quiet.

Todo excelente, muy buena ubicación. Solo no me gusto que el hotel no tuviera estacionamiento para el auto y en el menu del restaurant hay poca variedad.
