The Ray Hotel Delray Beach, Curio Collection by Hilton

This is a brand new hotel, just two years old. The design is modern and beautiful. We enjoyed the rooftop terrace with a pool and a nice bar. We also used the free bicycles to go riding to the beach, although you can also use their free shuttle to go back-and-forth. we used the free beach service including an umbrella and two chairs. We also used the fitness center, which is very nice appointed. There’s even a punching ball which I used since I practice kickboxing. The coffee store downstairs prepares a very tasteful lavender iced latte which he had for breakfast , although you have another more fancy option if you prefer. The hotel is on a very beautiful new commercial Street full of art hall , and restaurants. The only downside is that the valet parking is $42 per night and you cannot access your car, so every time you need anything from the car you need to you to wait until they bring it to you. We enjoyed it a lot our Labor Day weekend in Delray Beach and we plan to return soon.

Great location, comfortable rooms, clean and neat. Prohibitive valet charge of $45.00 per night plus a resort fee of $42.00.

The hotel was beautiful. However, we were paying a resort fee of about $45 per room and the bars were closed because they don't have a lot of turnover of hotel guests. We don't feel paying a resort fee is fair if the facilities will be closed. There is a bar downstairs that was closed all the time we were there. There was also a rooftop bar and restaurant that was closed both times we tried to go, even though we went during open hours. Additionally, there is no full breakfast buffet. There is a small cafe with some coffee and a few breakfast items. When we got there, there was a small line of people waiting, and the counter was unmanned. The employee was in the back somewhere. We waited a while. No one came out, so we left to go get breakfast elsewhere. Additionally, the balcony we got was on a side street. The view wasn't that great and it was always facing the hot sun, so even though we paid extra for a balcony, we never used it. Apparently, in order to get the front balcony, you need to pay for the "grove balcony". We didn't understand that the grove meant the front street. When booking, we thought the grove meant a courtyard in the back with a special garden view. My room was making a ticking noise when I arrived. I called the front desk and they sent someone to take a look. Apparently, the air conditioning had a leak. Also, when he pulled the front screen, a lot of dust flew out from a heavily unclean air conditioning filter.

I love the hotel beautiful , but not fair the rooftop was block for a private event last min for new years night, we paid lots off money for a room and is not fair

Staff is always friendly have stayed here twice and having a beach shuttle was that extra little touch All 3 restaurants on the property fall into the top 5 restaurants of Delray The outdoor pool ambiance is also a different level then most hotels in the area Definitely will be coming back

The design is stunning! The rooms are very nice and the transport to the beach works fantastic! The pool is too small though for the amount of guests, making it a nightmare to secure a spot

I always enjoy staying at the Ray. It's a very cute property- convenient and well maintained and I was thankful that this year I wasn't woken by fire alarms in the middle of the night (which has happened during two previous stays). The only thing that continues to be challenging to navigate is the small but pretty pool area which is always packed. This year it was filled with small children splashing and screaming with their beach toys with little or no parental supervision. A bit of a drag for folks who want to relax with a bit of quiet down time- other than that, I enjoyed my time there!!

Good but not great. Facilities wearing down and not maintained as well as could be. Garbage not picked up from general area receptacles often enough, carpets and floors showing wear, walls have skuff marks. Electric key lock broke to room and was locked out almost an hour. Was promised by Manager he would “take care of us”. Did nothing.

Awful. Had to call down for toilet paper and pod coffee numerous times. Room was dirty. Not really cleaned

The hotel was very well maintained. The room was very clean. It’s always a bonus when a hotel room does not have carpet. The hotel is in a great location.

The room was not clean. My feet were dirty after simply walking around in the room. No vanity mirror so no set place to get ready. Clearly not designed for women travelers. Kept same towels for four days!! It was clear one dirty towel was repurposed. I was not given a choice.

Our room was not ready until 4:30. Our shower was broken. The water was yellow. Our floor was filthy. There was a peanut under the bed the whole trip. We didn’t have any peanuts.

Amazing place, great staff and very clean

Unfortunately Nothing special. Poor condition. Lights were broken, when I texted customer service, no one responded. One of the lights was completely ripped off, the other one was missing a light bulb. Dirty air inlets, covered in either mold or rust.

Rooms and bathrooms are nicely decorated and modern but small. Love the location - Pineapple Grove is a trendy neighborhood with lots of great shops and restaurants and good location to walk all around downtown Delray Beach. It's about a mile walk to the beach but they provide a shuttle and vouchers to get chairs at the beach. Valet parking is expensive at the hotel but we were often able to find parking on the street. Room came with a balcony which was nice but view was just of the street and townhouses next door so nothing to look at.

This hotel is amazing. And if you get one of the rooms that has a balcony looking over the grove, they have cool little rocking chairs. It’s very spacious. The rooms are amazing with a shower that you could see through to the room. Perfectly modernly updated no carpet. I love this hotel one of my favorites. This only lets me add photos unfortunately these are the only photos I have there’s a sushi place connected next-door, which is amazing but here’s the rocking chair. I’m obsessed with if I could add Video I would.

We have seen the Ray be build and open up over the last few years and when planning a quick weekend trip, I knew we had to stay there. I'm shocked that a new hotel is this broken. The first room we were in had issues with the thermostat connecting to the air unit, so the first night was hot, the second night was freezing. The 'engineer' went a handful of times to the room to try and fix it, and the solution was a space heater. The sink water came rushing out even when the tap was barely on. The 'privacy' and 'make up room' sign was electronic and the buttons didn't work. Half the light switches didn't work. They were able to move us to a second room, where the air worked normally. The sink water barely trickled out and some of the electric didn't work here as well. We were also on the 4th floor- and there is a DJ on the roof just above on Friday and Saturday every week. It's impossible to sleep before 1:30 am. There should have been warning about this because it's excessively loud. The staff did their best to try and remedy some of the issues and they were very kind. But for a brand new hotel run by Hilton, this was unacceptable.

I liked the location 2 blocks frm the main street, close but far away enough to not get the noise. My only complaint was I was on the 4th floor, near the roof top bar, the beat of the music went on for what seemed to be forever, maybe it stopped at midnight, but I turn in earlier. Very annoying. I would advise staying anywhere near the roof top bar.

The common areas were great. The room was extremely noisy with some Type of industrial fan. I needed earplugs. There is not one single drawer in my upgraded room. You would have to live out of your suitcase for sure. Not a lot of room for counterspace either. Staff was fantastic and a real joy. Just a poorly laid out room that was trying to be cool, but not functional. Also, it cracked me up that there was a large see-through window from the bedroom into the bathroom so you could see someone shower and go to the toilet. They did have a curtain that could cover that window Didn’t bother me, but I’m assuming a lot of people wouldn’t like that. Anyway, the people that worked there were great

Comfortable room

Beautiful property. Conveniently located. Only con is thin walls. We had an adjoining door to our room. Neighbors were very loud. Slamming and opening the balcony doors so it was a little frustrating. I could hear when rooms On both ends were accessing the balcony.

Rooms are very small for the price, no place for clothes

The walls were vibrating from the music of the rooftop! The mattress was so hard!! The valet older man wasn’t very nice!

The noise from the second floor venue space was deafening to us on the third floor

Front desk staff was indifferent on way to annoyed to deal with guests/check-in. Nice property in cool retail area, but need to work on staff attitude and customer interface.

Overall, our stay at the hotel was pleasant, with a nice property setting. However, upon arrival, we experienced a lack of assistance from the valet clerk who seemed preoccupied on his cell phone and didn't offer help with our baggage. The following day, the pool area was short-staffed, and there was no service for food and drinks, requiring us to go to the bar for orders and payment. Later that evening, at the pool deck restaurant, we waited for over 20 minutes without any service, prompting us to leave after attempting to order dessert. Improved service in these areas would enhance the overall guest experience.

I have never written a review before, but felt compelled too. The Ray was recommended for my stay during my sons wedding weekend. The Hotel overall is lacking proper management. Called 3 times during the course of the day for fresh towels. Front desk attendants watching videos and laughing like teenagers working at McDonald’s. Rooftop restaurant service wasn’t much better. Cancelled our dinner reservations after poor/slow service for afternoon drinks.

Horrible. Service didn’t exist. Given a room that had more issues than the holocaust. The check in front desk person was less than interested in us as patrons. Later learned from another staff member the room we were given was known to be sub standard. How pathetic. Our upgraded room was a handicapped room that prior to sleeping maintenance had to come to the room to remove the tv and heavy maintenance had to be done. The hotel as a whole is and was substandard. Sorry i spent so much money on the rooms. Not impressed or happy actually disgusted. The hotel was less than fully occupied and no attempt to make us happy occurred. Not to mention the guest who checked in before us was totally disregarded for what they originally reserved and was told a complete lie about what was available to them. Long story but it’s a fact the front agent lied about what was available to them as they requested a joining rooms and never got them. They had children with them!!! FIX IT!!!

Beautiful property with extremely slow service- it took over 15 minutes to get an iron from housekeeping!

service did not exist.....the room was given to us with a wall that fell during the night....air conditioner inoperative tv not working and the dampness in the room made me sick. the water in the bathroom trickled not flowed. The service was totally inadequate.

BEAUTIFUL HOTEL IN A PERFECT LOCATION

The Ray was an amazing weekend staycation. Great location. Walkable to many restaurants and shops on Atlantic Ave.

The staff was incredibly attentive, rooms were spotless and beautifully decorated, and the rooftop pool and gym were wonderful. The location of this hotel is outstanding, just a few blocks from the main strip where there are a ton of restaurants, bars, and things to do. Also, the beach is just 3/4 of a mile away, and there is a free shuttle to and from every day!

Amazing trip to florida to see family. The Ray is a boutique hotel a few blocks off the heart of downtown Delray Beach! Amazing location! Beautiful hotel!

Close proximity to Lots of Restaurants

Loved The Rau! We will definitely be back. The sushi restaurant Akira was outstanding!

Amazing pool area, well appointed hotel and friendly staff. The quality of the food and drinks is good, but pricey. One drink by pool costs $20 with tip. Bedding, mattress and pillows were uncomfortable resulting in lack of sleep.

The hotel had a great urban industrial vibe situated in the heart of downtown Delray. We ate at the Asian restaurant, sat outside, which was perfect. The food was delicious, staff was on point and ambience was breathtaking. The rooms were clean, showers had good water pressure and the beds were comfortable. The windows/doors are sound proof, so you don’t hear a thing. We had coffee on the balcony then brunch in their cafe. After shopping, we hit the rooftop for happy hour, such a cool place!! We will be returning soon.

This is a lovely property in beautiful Delray Beach. The room was nice, although would have been nicer with staff that actually smiled, a tub and some more privacy option on the balcony as they are very close to one another. Especially for $400 per night. I expected the balcony to be larger from the photos on Expedia. I did have to call the front desk to ask the neighbor to turn down some loud music. There is no room service but lots of restaurants in the area. Akira Back is a fantastic Japanese restaurant I highly recommend. The rooftop bar and pool area are nice. Could be time for some cleaning of the umbrellas. The service was good. Cocktails and food were decent - a bit pricey and could use some more options. All in all a nice albeit expensive boutique style hotel in the heart of Delray Beach close to the beach and Atlantic Ave. that has numerous dining options.

The Ray is a beautiful, modern hotel in a great location, close to lots of restaurants and attractions. The room was beautifully appointed with a very comfortable bed and an awesome shower. A well-stocked (but pricey) mini-bar had a Nespresso machine with free coffee, which was great. Bottled water was not complimentary, however, and cost $8. Overall, I was very pleased with my room. I was excited to get a balcony, but mine overlooked the back alley and a large AC unit. I only have two real criticisms...the banquet space is very close to guest rooms, and after a Friday night wedding, the cleanup was so loud right outside my door that I could not sleep. It didn\'t stop until 1am...staff were yelling loudly, racking chairs, and dishes were clanging loudly. I was surprised that they did not seem to many any effort to be quiet. They also charge a $30 resort fee which gives you access to the rooftop pool and fitness center. The one time I went to the roof hoping to swim, the small pool area was completely overrun by day visitors to the rooftop bar and lounge. Although signs clearly say the pool is for guests only, they don\'t actually enforce it. When I mentioned it to the front desk, to their credit, they apologized and refunded my resort fee. In-room dining said "coming soon," but there are two or three excellent restaurants on site. I would definitely go back there and stay. On the whole, it\'s the best location in Delray, and it\'s a beautiful property.

Great short stay. Staff was terrific. Restaurants onsite are amazing. Definitely enjoyed and recommend.
