The was a great place to stay! We were looking for something to get away without kids and since this is kid free it was perfect. They were very accommodating to our requests. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were clean. We are already planning our next trip staying here. We did not eat here but within a few minutes there are multiple places for breakfast etc. The hotel does have on site restaurants and they always seemed to be busy and people were saying how great the food was.

The staff was friendly and the room was clean. Otherwise, pretty disappointing. I came in on a Monday night and had to ask for towels Wednesday night because I had't received any housekeeping. Be prepared that the casino is slots only, no tables. The steakhouse is ok, the bartenders were nice and the food was solid, nothing too special.

The hotel was beautiful and staff extremely friendly and helpful. Complimentary bottled water was an unexpected bonus. Parking was somewhat challenging due to casino traffic, but not overall terrible. Added bonus was watching the horses train in the mornings from our window!

Clean room and bathroom. Staff was great. Room way overpriced for event but it was safe and clean. No gym, no pool, casino is slots only. Bed was just okay. Overall I’d rate it as just “good.”

The clean room was very large, comfortable king size bed, had a mini refrigerator. Soap, shampoo, conditioner in shower. Key card needed to use elevator for security. Coffee in the lobby & coffee in the room. Shuttle transportation available to fairgrounds. Shuttle driver gave us $10 credit to casino. Nice place to stay!

Extremely clean and well appointed. Love the no smoking in the casino, restaurants and the rooms. Didn’t win much money, but it was great place to stay after a day at Churchill Downs. Woke up this morning looked out the window and there’s horses running on the practice track. What fun

The room was large and clean. I stayed in a king room one night and a double queen the next. Both rooms had terribly uncomfortable beds. The king sunk in at the head of the bed and the queen sunk in on the side nearest the nightstand. First time her. Very affordable. Had a king bed room. Extremely large and beautifully decorated! My only 2 complaints were that the bed was not very comfortable for my taste. It’s a memory foam that is stiff in nature. And the second issue was the water doesn’t get very hot for the shower. Overall it was a good experience. Would I book again? Maybe.

The front desk lady when we checked in was extremely hard to understand, she mumbled everything, and then got mad at us and called security on my husband when we asked her to repeat herself. My room and the staff were absolutely amazing. This is my second time staying at this hotel and it never disappoints. One thing that I didn’t realize is that you have to request housekeeping services if you are staying for several days. No fault of the hotels though. I just didn’t know. However, I will for sure to be back to my hometown and when I do, Derby City is where I’ll be staying!

Arrived very late after long day of travel. Check in was fine, but returned later to request additional towels. I’ll spare the fine details but had to go behind the counter area to retrieve towels as no one was attending the desk at that time. Only to be confronted, treated with the most extreme rudeness and hostility by the attendant as she returned. This person scolded me to stay there until she called security to make sure “nothing else was missing” while she went to rewind cameras- as she could see the towels in my hands. When I realized how she was escalating this situation, I was forced to have a long discussion with resort secuiry. Literally I have never been treated so poorly by a hotel employee in all my years of travel. Of note- no signs barring guests from entering that open area were posted, not to mention it was almost 1:00 am and I was trying to eliminate the need for someone to deliver the towels to my room at that hour, which I tried to explain between her combative and argumentative comments. Spoke with manager, Gabe, the following morning and he helped make things a little better for me and handled this professionally. Due to his help, I won’t publish the associated name here: under no circumstances should a guest be made to feel that way regardless of the situation. Professionalism should be a baseline expectation. Suite was nice but the bedroom is not private - large open doorways lead into sitting area and microwave is only available in the lobby.

Customer service at counter was rude. I was traveling with my wife and younger daughter (21 yrs old). We all have Id's - however I had accidentally lost mine during the trip. (Or so, I thought I had). Upon arrival, the lady at front desk asked for all quest id's. To which, I explained my situation. And with bo hesitation, or any sign of politeness- she simply said - "well then you cannot stay here". Not good, not good at all. Later, upon searching further in my car, I found my wallet and approached here again to finally get checked in. Again, no sign whatsoever of apprceiation for our business or for the fact that it was a relief that I could find my wallet and we could make the stay successful.

Staff are fantastic at the hotel. The food is decent at the grill and there is a small pantry for grabbing quick items. The bed is comfortable but the pillows need to be much better. The hotel is upscale and very clean with the exception of the game smoking area. The carpet needs to be replaced with something besides carpet because it’s beyond gross and looks terrible. Otherwise , great place to stay and very convenient location.

We really enjoyed our stay for two nights. The room was nice and clean. I do think there should’ve been more channels on the tv though. So that was disappointing. Also did not have a microwave. The casino was impressive and fun. The restaurant was okay.Too overly priced for the amount and quality of food. Drinks at the bar weren’t as expensive as I expected them to be. Overall, we had a nice time and enjoyed our stay.

The room and bed were very comfortable. We had a weird puddle of water show up one day in our hallway and alerted the front desk. There was no problem getting extra towels and coffee station refills. However, we were not there to gamble so any other common hotel amenities did not exist. We had no where to get a breakfast in the building so a drive into a main artery was required for that. Their coffee station in the lobby wasn’t 24 hours or at least all the daylight hours. There was no water station. Anything we wanted had to be purchased from a machine.
