Everything was great! We had a massage at the spa and spent time in the sauna 10/10. We don’t get a chance to try the cafe, but the beds were comfy, room is so clean. John at the front desk was so helpful. We loved everything about the Longfellow!

This is a great find! The hotel has a boutique feel with an excellent room. The staff was engaging and helpful. They have a brand new town car available as a complimentary service and made access to the waterfront, restaurants and shopping a breeze!

This hotel is not worth the price. The space is nicely designed, but when you pull back the curtain everything is cheaply made. Our room was loud, both outside the window and outside the door due to being close to the elevator. Cleaning staff knocked on our door at 8am because for some reason they don\'t have "do not disturb signs". When we pointed out some of our issues the manager wasn\'t helpful or friendly. And then when we checked out, they gave us the wrong receipt for a different room, and led us to believe we were getting a discount that never came. Oh and they gouge you for parking at $45 / night. A two night stay at the Longfellow, feels kinda like getting robbed.

Great hotel with a nice bar/lounge area, cafe, and spa. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful with recommendations on things to see and do around Portland. A little off the beaten path, but it was an easy walk down to the Arts District and Old Port after a coffee from the cafe or at the bakery next door. It is on a main street just down from the fire department, so expect a few sirens during your stay. Other than that, it was fairly quiet and peaceful.

The vibe is great and far from the hustle and bustle of the Old Port. One of the best bakery/coffee shops I've ever been to. The food at the hotel is exceptional, healthy and reasonably priced. Great bar and the bartender clearly has mastered his trade.

Loved our stay at Longfellow. The amenities were great (highly recommend the spa!) and town car was an added perk we took advantage of. The drinks at the bar were some of the best we had in Portland. We loved the sustainability aspect of the rooms and found the bed to be very comfy. All communication is done via text and we found the responsiveness to be spotty (anywhere from 5 min to the following day). Other than that, we had an excellent stay and will definitely be returning.

Beautiful little hotel with amazingly friendly staff. Our room was so comfortable and clean, with plenty of room in the bathroom and to stretch out. Nice part of town, with cool buildings throughout the area. Tandem Bakery next door has redonkulous biscuits. Would gladly stay here again.

The Longfellow is a great option in Portland--it's quiet, comfortable, clean, and within walking distance of everything. It is not in the Old Port area, which made it more desirable to me, but it's only about a 15 minute walk to downtown and the port area. The service was excellent, and we really enjoyed our stay!

We had an amazing experience at The Longfellow! The hotel is impeccably clean, comfortable, and quiet, providing the perfect retreat for a relaxing getaway. Its prime location is a huge bonus — just a short stroll to fantastic restaurants, shops and not too far from Old Port, making it easy to explore the best of the area. I stayed here with my husband to celebrate his birthday, and it truly exceeded our expectations. The in-room teas were a lovely touch, offering a comforting, cozy experience. We also absolutely loved the rain shower, which was the perfect way to warm up and unwind after a day of walking in the snow. All in all, The Longfellow is a wonderful place to stay for anyone looking to enjoy a peaceful, stylish retreat in the heart of the city. Highly recommend!

I really enjoyed my brief stay! The bed was incredibly comfortable and the room was very nice. Elevated shower, in-room coffee, and small sitting area were pluses. The lobby of the hotel is so cute with plenty of space to hang out and visit the cafe or bar. And the staff was very kind! I also got a treatment at the spa next door and really enjoyed it. I left feeling relaxed!

The hotel tries to mimic a European ambiance but it just doesn't work. Our room was small and stuffed with a chaise lounge and stuffed chair but no desk or dresser. The lock on the room's door was difficult to work (although secure). The bathroom was small, a single sink and no door on the toilet room (only on the bathroom entrance). No night tables only a small round wooden disc attached to the wall; there was no phone to the front desk. French-press coffee was offered but no instructions on how to use it or what to do with the spent grounds; the coffee cups were small and had no handles so you had to use the saucer to hold the extremely hot cup. There are no instructions on the confusing thermostat. The best thing in the room was the relatively new bed and the huge TV screen (perhaps too big for the small room as it almost took up a wall and felt almost on top of the bed). The hotel is over a mile to the main port area so you have to walk through what seemed like a sketchy area if you were tourists, like us. I wouldn't recommend that my friends stay there; I know we won't again.

I loved the aesthetic and the attention to some detail, and the newness and cleanliness. I also lived the availability of the towncar - such a useful service. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Also, great eating options are all around (e.g., Hot Suppa, Wayside Café, Tandem Bakery). I did not like the lack of parking. While there is both a paid valet service and some street parking, there is not a hotel lot. Additionally - and this may be a function of the newness of the building - we had some difficulty regulating the temperature in our room. Again, the staff was helpful in providing alternate means to make sure that we were comfortable.

Noisy. Booked because I thought it would be quiet, but any noise in the hallway felt like it was in the room-terrible. Kept waking me up. Plus when anyone above my room flushed the toilet I could hear all their ‘business’ flow near me - kind of gross. I didn’t feel like I got the value I paid for.

It was a perfect stay, we were in the spa suite which was quite large, extremely clean and had an amazing Jacuzzi bathtub. The bed was very comfortable, but I would strongly suggest them to add to softer down pillows for the king-size bed. It’s something I would definitely go back. Highly recommend Longfellow hotel.

This hotel was about $100 less per night than the ones at the waterfront. It was about a 20 min walk to the warf area and that provided daily exercise. The hotel also offered limited car service. The surrounding area was a neighborhood. The room was fine but felt a little small, except for the shower which huge. Everything was very modern. The room was quiet. The staff was great. The bar food and breakfast/coffee were excellent. Complaints: The seating options in the room were a mini day bed and a wooden foot stool. I sat on the bed. There was no desk. There was limited floor space. The in-room coffee consisted of a hot pot to boil water and jar of ground coffee. No filters. Options were better for tea drinkers. There was a coffee/breakfast place next door that was very crowded with a huge line every morning. I think the line was part of the social scene. The hotel staff said it was very good.

Loved staying here and now this is the only hotel I stay in this town. The service is top notch, the decor and ambiance are incredible and they truly make you feel like you’re at home. I always feel taken care of and relaxed. Also….the BEST pillows and bedding. I have a hard time finding a hotel with actual really good pillows. These are the best so I never want to leave the bed! They also have the most lovely turn down service with a tea station for you to drink before bed and a lovely French press for the morning. The products in the bathroom are premium as well. Last but not least, their bar in the lounge….the bartenders are incredible. The best most pure cocktails - they do it right!

Great service. Beautiful hotel, room and nice cocktail bar. Dropped a star for noise - the doors are heavy and loud and disturbing in early morning. Especially if cleaning is happening right next to you. It's location near the hospital also means you hear sirens sometimes.

This was my second time staying at the Longfellow. The first trip staff walked into the room twice without knocking saying they didn’t know I’d checked in and the tv didn’t work. I called about the tv but no one came to fix it. I figured people make mistakes and tried to stay with them again. The most recent trip the room I booked wasn’t available and I still haven’t received a refund for the difference 3 days later. We talked to someone at the front desk about the broken alarm clock/white noise machine. We were told it would be replaced while we were at dinner…it was not. It still was showing the same error message when we came back. I understand things break and mistakes happen but this feels like a consistent lack of service at a boutique hotel we’re staying at for an elevated level of service

Not just great customer service. The staff is genuinely kind. Because our flight was delayed, a staff member went out and bought snacks at the local 7-11 so that my kids had something to eat when we arrived late at night. Another staff member helped set up Netflix. Great decor. Tasty breakfast. 100% recommend.

We thought the hotel rating should be 4.5 stars - somewhere between good and excellent. The cost seemed high for what was offered, although room size was good, very nice shower. Not a fan of their bathroom toilet paper and tissues. I understand wanting to be eco friendly but it is like streamers or tissue paper - not soft at all. Also wish the bathroom had more room to put toiletries. The area around the hotel is a little seedy - on the walk home after dinner there were a number of drugged out homeless people. I guess I expect it in nyc but less in Portland. But lots of cool restaurants and bars nearby.
