We stayed one night at Ria Formosa Guest House. The room was quite nice: spacious, new, well decorated, and super clean. The woman who checked us in was very nice and helpful as well. The interior of the hotel was well maintained, and the sitting room was nice, but the front desk was definitely lacking - literally just a desk next to the front door and is not staffed 24 hours. Location is why I did not rate this 5 stars: while it is near the Faro Airport, which is what I think everyone who stays here is looking for, it is a 15 minute walk through residential streets to get to the hotel. So the area directly around the hotel is completely devoid of any conveniences like shops, restaurants, grocery stores, public transportation, etc. That being said, I would recommend this hotel for anyone needing a 1 night layover flying to/from Faro Airport.

Litet men personligt hotell, mycket tyst och välordnat. Ligger lite vid sidan om men man kan äta på hotellet och baren är öppen till 22. Finns pool och bastu samt jacuzzi ute. Vissa rum har egen jacuzzi. Bra sängar. Marguerite i receptionen tog väl hand om oss! Hiss finns ej. Mysigt sällskapsrum och terrass.

A lovely little spot tucked away in a corner with a surprisingly beautiful view especially at night. We stayed one night for a flight the next day. The hot tub on our terrace was fabulous and the room was large and comfortable. The hotel, although small was beautifully decorated and very clean and the staff was very helpful. They even carried our luggage upstairs for us.

Driving up I was concerned because you travel through a very residential neighborhood that doesn’t look like it can support a hotel. But then you pull up to a gate and behind it is this fabulous boutique hotel. Maybe only 10 rooms but they are clean, modern and beautiful. It has a nice lounge area and the pool and hot tub are lovely. This was a 10/10 great find!

We had planned to stay here for the last night of our 28 day trip to Portugal and Spain, but we were let down by our last Air BnB so we ended up leaving that early and stayed at Ria Formosa Guest House for our last 4 days. We were a little worried as most people seem to stay only 1 night as an airport stopover so we weren't sure if 4 nights was too many. It certainly wasn't and we had a great stay and could easily have stayed longer. The design of the hotel, the cleanliness and comfort were all excellent. The room was a great size too, with a good bathroom and shower. The location also turned out well, as we had a car and could easily travel to local towns when we wanted to. We didn't use the pool but it looked great and the pool area itself was very tidy and clean. Every member of staff we dealt with was excellent too, and were really willing to ensure we had everything we needed and that we were happy, which we were. They have what they describe as a snack bar but we felt it was more than that with a reasonable selection of decent food - really handy on a couple of evenings when the local restaurants were closed or we didn't want to go out.

We stayed here to use the pool but the pool was extremely cold(not heated). It is quite a winding route to get to it. It is indeed away from it all-the planes taking off at the nearby airport didn’t bother us.

Superb small hotel with lovely rooms, great amenities and friendly, helpful staff. Even a free drink at the bar. Rooms spacious and well appointed. Car parking adjacent and free. No noise from the airport Dinner and breakfast excellent and great value for money. Highly recommended.

We were upgraded from a standard room which had a nice view. The complimentary drink was a nice touch. All the staff we encountered were great and the food was better than anticipated.It was an easy 15 minute walk to the airport - even in the dark.

We picked this hotel for a one night stay due to its proximity to the airport. The room was large but had a pitched ceiling which my husband bumped his head on multiple times. It was a 20 minute uber ride into Faro for restaurants and sightseeing. As others have mentioned, there is no elevator and the carpeting on the stairs is badly stained.

Beautiful property, convenient to the airport. Lovely lunch and free drinks, rooms are clean and spacious. Lovely patio, Staff were very kind and helpful. The only thing I’d mention is the carpeting going up to the rooms is very dirty/stained.

A brief but great stay prior to early flight the next morning. Comfortable beds, great bathroom and spacious deluxe room on 1st floor. Parking adjacent and super convenient to the airport which was why we booked. Easy car hire drop off at the airport and then a 15 min walk back to the hotel via a restaurant for dinner. Easy system to return room entry cards if leaving at 4 am. Pleasant aspect over the nature reserve towards the airport although arrived and left in the dark so unable to fully appreciate this and the pool. Would stay again.

Tastefully appointed, fabulous crisp linens and towels, great shower, plenty of attention to detail. Breakfast was all you could ask for, very fresh. Great location if you need the airport early otherwise just a reasonable UBER to town.

Just returned from an amazing weekend staying at the Ria Formosa. A short walk from the airport, ideal if you’re travelling light. The staff were welcoming and friendly and the room was exceptionally clean. We stayed in the Royal room, it went well above our expectations and the hot tub was lovely and clean. The breakfast was great value for money, everything was fresh and tasty. All in all an absolute hidden gem, can’t think of anything that could have been better and we will definitely be back! Thank you for making our mini holiday so lovely!

Everything about the property was great. Great facilties, clean and spacious. The chef was very professional, friendly, and helpful. However, I was disappointed that the property manager said I had booked the room for two adults and one infant, and because I had a 11 year old child I was charged an additional £50. I have done a few bookings this summer and have always included a 11 year old child, and my confirmation show this. I wasnt happy I had to pay the extra amount, and think that there was an error between Expedia and the guest house when booking was made. The booking included a 11 year old child, not a baby. I felt taken advantage of.

We were upgraded from a standard room which had a nice view. The complimentary drink was a nice touch. All the staff we encountered were great and the food was better than anticipated.It was an easy 15 minute walk to the airport - even in the dark.

We stayed one night at Ria Formosa Guest House. The room was quite nice: spacious, new, well decorated, and super clean. The woman who checked us in was very nice and helpful as well. The interior of the hotel was well maintained, and the sitting room was nice, but the front desk was definitely lacking - literally just a desk next to the front door and is not staffed 24 hours. Location is why I did not rate this 5 stars: while it is near the Faro Airport, which is what I think everyone who stays here is looking for, it is a 15 minute walk through residential streets to get to the hotel. So the area directly around the hotel is completely devoid of any conveniences like shops, restaurants, grocery stores, public transportation, etc. That being said, I would recommend this hotel for anyone needing a 1 night layover flying to/from Faro Airport.

A brief but great stay prior to early flight the next morning. Comfortable beds, great bathroom and spacious deluxe room on 1st floor. Parking adjacent and super convenient to the airport which was why we booked. Easy car hire drop off at the airport and then a 15 min walk back to the hotel via a restaurant for dinner. Easy system to return room entry cards if leaving at 4 am. Pleasant aspect over the nature reserve towards the airport although arrived and left in the dark so unable to fully appreciate this and the pool. Would stay again.

Amazing boutique hotel with great amenities. The primary reason for this place is its proximity to the airport, but it’s the type of place that would be amazing for more nights, and I wish we had known how much of a gem this place was and we would have stayed longer! We utilized the spa (hot tub, pool and sauna) and even the food at the bar was fantastic with our welcome drinks which were a nice touch. We rented the bikes for an afternoon and biked to the beach for a picnic. Loved our stay and the staff were so nice. Will definitely be recommending the Guest House to friends

Du er virkelig dejligt hotel med en vidunderlig udsigt. Vi boede på anden sal og kunne forestille os at udsigten kun ville blive bedre og bedre når man kommer højere op. Vi var meget heldige med at få en pris på omkring 2000 kr. for tre dage inklusiv morgenmad. Dette er en fuldstændig vanvittig billig pris. Vi vil absolut komme tilbage. Skulle man sige noget som er mindre godt ( og det er det faktisk kun delvist ) så købte vi os til aftenbuffeten. Der var lidt fisk, med alt for mange ben. Men dette er jo kun en del af en helhed. Den kostede også kun 26 €. Der var fem-seks forskellige retter så man kunne bare vælge hvad man ville. Så det er faktisk ikke fair at sige at den ikke er rigtig god. For det var den faktisk til prisen. Så bundærligt får du chancen for at komme til dette område, så tøv endelig ikke med at booke dig ind på dette hotel. Det er en fantastisk oplevelse. Beautiful property, convenient to the airport. Lovely lunch and free drinks, rooms are clean and spacious. Lovely patio, Staff were very kind and helpful. The only thing I’d mention is the carpeting going up to the rooms is very dirty/stained.
