We loved this charming lowcountry home! It was comfortable for our two families and perfect location in a walkable area (close to town!) amenities as described and had everything we needed!

Lovely house. Few quick feedback: 1. Driveway was used by the owner’s son so we had to park on a busy street. Eventually he left and we were able to use the driveway. 2. The house was a bit dusty and had a mold problem on the ceiling near the ceiling vent. 3. Interior design needs work. Like mismatched wall paper. 4. The clawfoot bathtub is as lovely but functionally it was uneven and you felt like the bathtub was rocking side to side. 5. I’ve used rental properties before but I don’t ever remember being required to wash the linens before we leave a house.

The house was beautiful. The surrounding neighborhood was perfect for walks with charming homes and gardens. Close to restaurants, shopping, and the waterfront.

Very unique house with lots of history. Nicely restored/looked after. Family room smaller but cozy. Well stocked kitchen. Beds comfortable. About a 10min lovely walk from downtown area. Great upstairs porch for lounging with a coffee. Downsides are the age gives it a slightly awkward layout with Master on different level. Our daughter was a little spooked. Shower never warmed up. Dampness also required two very loud dehumidifiers to run constantly - you also have to empty them. Be careful with door handle on way out too- jammed our fingers a couple of times. Meant to be two parking spaces in driveway. It’s only big enough for one vehicle max. In any case, the house next door occupied it the whole time were there so we had to park in the street. Arrival instructions should reflect that. Made for some confusion. Lastly- no fault of the property, but, unfortunately, our trip was interrupted by Trop Storm Debby. We only got one night. Tidewatch - who manages the property- hides behind the contract they make you sign. No compassion or customer service for that fact our vacation was ruined. Not even a token discount off a future stay. They just palm you off to VRBO to resolve. That was really disappointing. Read the Tidewatch contract very carefully. It will be rubbed in your face if there’s an issue- and it apparently supplants VRBO terms.

Stayed 7 nights

I was looking for a QUIET cottage for a restful week stay where I could sit outdoors and read. This was differently NOT it! It is across the street from an elementary school and on a very BUSY corner! The umbrella on the small front stoop was broken and the sun was VERY hot. The stoop out back was very tiny!!! and too dirty too use. There was no internet until after the second day of my stay and then directions were incorrectly provided so I had to call back so another day of no internet. No hot water in the shower until Wednesday Morning. Bathroom door is a closet door so it doesn't close properly nor lock but bathroom was so small you really need to leave open. No Keurig -The coffee pot was bigger than microwave. Cottage is fine for one person staying one or two nights. Don't plan to be there during the daytime! Don't forget soap for the shower -it is not provided .Only a short walk to town.
