Recently Purchased from John and Erica Dickerson! Purchased by their manager Melissa and her mother Beverly! We promise to provide the same level of service and cleanliness as the previous owners. This is a precious little house built in...

Located near the beach, this vacation home is in Hundred Pines, a neighborhood in Beaufort. Cat Island Driving Range and Sanctuary Golf Club are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those in the mood for shopping can visit Bay Street and Port Royal Farmers Market. USCB Center for the Arts and Sea Wolf Charters are also worth visiting. Jet skiing and water skiing offer great chances to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with horse riding and hunting nearby.

We had a great time at Hermitage House. Our dog enjoyed the backyard - as did we! the proximity to the Spanish Moss trail is what attracted us to this house and it did not disappoint. The trail is excellent. We explored Hunting Island (house comes with a pass to the park - excellent perk!), downtown Beaufort, and Port Royal (SPM goes right into Port Royal). There are local recommendations that were very helpful and the location is so convenient. We hope to come back again soon.

Back yard was awesome, btw...there's a hawks nest in one of the pines, fun to watch. Have to admit we were impressed with all the amenities, all the things you never find in other kitchens were there, excellent touch...I was not sent out to get ANYTHING for the house that wasn't there. We love quaint charming houses and this one is no exception, bed was comfy, neighborhood was quiet, nice and welcoming...we could not have asked for a better environment. We went walking on the trail nearby and down the street to a park that overlooks the inlet waterways...just a basic park with benches and running water...but shaded, only a 10 min walk or so. There is a book detailing nearby amenities, and it is very detailed and accurate. We did not encounter anything or anyone that made us uncomfortable... The town and businesses were very friendly as well. In the morning there were at least 4-5 couples walking their pets, and the trail was constantly busy with people exercising, the trees with Spanish moss dripping from them, and covering the road like a tunnel made it feel soooo comforting, the neat...and quaint neighborhood with the light breeze, the at home feeling when you walk in the house....all these things made it hard to get up and leave on Sunday. Thank you all for allowing us to stay at your home, it was a blessing to say the least. Marty, Kelly & Diesel.

This property was our hands-down favorite of 4 good rental homes on our southeast road trip. Terrific location, super comfy furniture/ beds, unique fun touches in house, THE BIKES and nearby trail, so much to do and see in Beaufort and surrounding areas, free state parks pass to use, and excellent amenities. WE WILL BE BACK!!

The property was very clean and fresh smelling. There were many thoughtful details put into the rental such as labels, a laundry basket, stocked kitchen, park pass and property notebook (you felt like you were having a conversation with the owner when reading through it!!). The backyard was amazing and perfect for the kids and dog. A great location with easy access to downtown and around the islands. We will definitely stay here again when we come back to visit!!

The house was cute, clean and location was perfect. The beds were incredibly comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with everything you might need. Melissa is great, and got back to me super fast if I had any questions. The yard was perfect if you bring your dog. The Spanish moss trial is literally 2 houses from the property. We used the bikes that the house comes with but if you are a biker bring your own. The trial is 10 miles and it truly is stunning. Beaufort is amazing. Restaurants were very good, downtown is beautiful. It's very close to Charlston for day trip. Hunting Island state park is a must.

The location of this home was great. It was very clean and had everything to make our stay comfortable. The beds are a+! Very close to all amenities. The back yard is so peaceful. Having the bikes to hop on the spanish moss trail was wonderful. Highly reccomend!!

We absolutely loved our stay in the Hermitage House! It was cozy, clean, and had a good location. We especially loved the stocked kitchen, screened-in back porch, and the movies that were filmed in Beaufort. Our communication with the property manager was smooth and very responsive! We will stay here again.

My wife and I stayed at the Hermitage House and everything was great. The house is perfect for a couple or small family. The house was very clean and the backyard was great for pets if needed. The location to downtown was less than 5 minutes. Would definitely stay there again.

I think this is the best vrbo experience we’ve had! Not only was the cottage perfect and squeaky clean, the neighborhood was quaint and quiet and close to many things to do. Melissa is wonderful to work with also. We didn’t want to leave!

This home is a gem. It is very clean, beds are comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked. The owners offer lots of information about the area and downtown Beaufort. The street is lovely and quiet and offers an easy walking space. And the Spanish Moss Trail is steps away, great for walking or biking.

A lovely place to stay for 5 days..close to beaufort you can walk in to town. Some great things to do around n about. The property itself has everything you need...nice n clean facilities and excellent sized bed. Plenty of off street parking and easy to find in Nice quiet street. I've given this site 5 stars as it's well worth the rating...my only issues would be bathroom is a little small but certainly everything works fine and v good shower...the washing machine has a dirty rubber seal. These were minor issues in a very comfortable stay..thankyou for sharing it.

We loved this property! Wonderful yard for the pups. Everything we needed for a nice stay. House was in good condition and clean. Loved being near the bike trail. Unfortunately a personal emergency meant we had to cut our trip short, but would not hesitate to stay here again if we are in the area.

This house is extremely clean and well equipped. It’s close to everything, especially the Spanish Moss Trail which is the primary reason we chose this particular property to rent. It’s also convenient to the downtown restaurants, shopping and historic District of Beaufort. Melissa was very responsive and answered a question we had immediately. The king bed in the master bedroom is one of the most comfortable beds ever. Our 12 year old dog loved the spacious yard and so did we. The song birds were delightful. We will be back!

The house is very comfortable. The bathroom is snug but has a great shower. Our beds were very comfy and the quiet was lovely. The property has a large fenced back yard with loads of privacy and a patio to picnic. We had all we needed. I would return.

We enjoyed our stay at Cozy Home. The 1950’s era Cape Cod home with its original hardwood floors and upgraded bathroom were very comfortable. The shower head had great water pressure! By far our favorite part was the fenced yard. We enjoyed sipping our morning coffee on the back porch while watching our dog romp through the yard. Playful squirrels and flitting birds added to the ambiance.

My husband and I loved our stay at the Hermitage. It’s so comfortable and cozy. We recently moved to the Lowcountry and needed a place to stay for a few nights. The backyard is wonderful and our pup loved it! I highly recommend staying here!!

This is an adorable cottage in a quiet neighborhood, four doors down from the Spanish Moss trail. It’s cozy and lived in, with ample supplies for every need (kitchen spices, sugar, coffee, tea, paper products, soap etc). We didn’t bring our dog, but the back yard is perfect for visiting pups, yet there was no sign of any dogs having used it 💩. The owners provided lovely linens for the comfortable beds, and plenty of towels. We were happy to find a SC park pass to visit Hunting Island at no cost. It’s a great rental!

So much to tell! This property is cute, clean, has a hugh backyard and has everything one needs to enjoy their stay. The property is close to downtown Beaufort and the Spanish Moss Trail. Lots of great restaurants and things to see within a short distance. There is a fantastic Gelato/Coffee shop downtown and I can't forget to mention "Forrest Gump's" chocolate shop the "Chocolate Tree"...to die for chocolate and other delicious treats. To say that the property owners thought of everything is an understatement. The home was clean, beds were super comfy and every aspect of the listing was spot on. We loved staying here with our two dogs because it was less than 1 block to the Spanish moss trail where we could take daily walks. I would highly recommend renting this property and would gladly stay here again.
To say that the property owners thought of everything is an understatement. The home was clean, beds were super comfy and every aspect of the listing was spot on. We loved staying here with our two dogs because it was less than 1 block to the Spanish moss trail where we could take daily walks. I would highly recommend renting this property and would gladly stay here again.

This is our second stay! We love being able to bring our dog who is crated when we aren’t in the home. The backyard is huge and the trail is two houses down and a lovely place to take a dog for a walk. So much to do and see in the area. The house is nice and comfortable. It’s got everything we need and any questions we’ve had have been answered quickly. Love staying here and hope to return!

We absolutely loved our stay in the Hermitage House! It was cozy, clean, and had a good location. We especially loved the stocked kitchen, screened-in back porch, and the movies that were filmed in Beaufort. Our communication with the property manager was smooth and very responsive! We will stay here again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this charming home, located in a lovely and very convenient neighborhood. Upon arrival we were immediately made to feel welcome with the lights on and soft music playing. I was particularly impressed by the luxurious bed/bath linens. So nice not having to dry off with a tea towel! We were traveling with our 4 legged friend and he (as were we!) was thrilled not only with the large back yard, but also the proximity to the 10 mile rail trail, which we enjoyed for daily walks. There’s a Publix just about a mile along the trail which made for a pleasant bike ride to pick up a few necessities. The downtown/waterfront could easily be accessed by foot, bike, or car and we spent many pleasant afternoons strolling in the park and enjoying people watching and shrimp prepared in a variety of delicious ways. We enjoyed morning coffee and evening cocktails on the screen porch, watching and listening to the birds and the antics of squirrels. We loved the area and it’s rich history, friendly people, and delicious food and highly recommend this Southern Charmer for a stay in the Low Country.

This property was our hands-down favorite of 4 good rental homes on our southeast road trip. Terrific location, super comfy furniture/ beds, unique fun touches in house, THE BIKES and nearby trail, so much to do and see in Beaufort and surrounding areas, free state parks pass to use, and excellent amenities. This home was the most well equipped home we have ever stayed in. Everything from extra toilet paper to books and large size cleansers this house had it. The neighborhood was lovely and close to town but very safe and quiet for walking the dogs. Having the rail trail 2 doors down made early Morning walks so easy and fun .We will be back

The location of this home was great. It was very clean and had everything to make our stay comfortable. The beds are a+! Very close to all amenities. The back yard is so peaceful. Having the bikes to hop on the spanish moss trail was wonderful. Highly reccomend!!

A lovely place to stay for 5 days..close to beaufort you can walk in to town. Some great things to do around n about. The property itself has everything you need...nice n clean facilities and excellent sized bed. Plenty of off street parking and easy to find in Nice quiet street. I've given this site 5 stars as it's well worth the rating...my only issues would be bathroom is a little small but certainly everything works fine and v good shower...the washing machine has a dirty rubber seal. These were minor issues in a very comfortable stay..thankyou for sharing it.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at this property. We also brought our 2 standard poodles and they absolutely loved the huge backyard. The home was perfectly clean and inviting. Beaufort is beautiful and the location of this home couldn’t have been better for us.

We had a great time at Hermitage House. Our dog enjoyed the backyard - as did we! the proximity to the Spanish Moss trail is what attracted us to this house and it did not disappoint. The trail is excellent. We explored Hunting Island (house comes with a pass to the park - excellent perk!), downtown Beaufort, and Port Royal (SPM goes right into Port Royal). There are local recommendations that were very helpful and the location is so convenient. We hope to come back again soon.

Back yard was awesome, btw...there's a hawks nest in one of the pines, fun to watch. Have to admit we were impressed with all the amenities, all the things you never find in other kitchens were there, excellent touch...I was not sent out to get ANYTHING for the house that wasn't there. We love quaint charming houses and this one is no exception, bed was comfy, neighborhood was quiet, nice and welcoming...we could not have asked for a better environment. We went walking on the trail nearby and down the street to a park that overlooks the inlet waterways...just a basic park with benches and running water...but shaded, only a 10 min walk or so. There is a book detailing nearby amenities, and it is very detailed and accurate. We did not encounter anything or anyone that made us uncomfortable... The town and businesses were very friendly as well. In the morning there were at least 4-5 couples walking their pets, and the trail was constantly busy with people exercising, the trees with Spanish moss dripping from them, and covering the road like a tunnel made it feel soooo comforting, the neat...and quaint neighborhood with the light breeze, the at home feeling when you walk in the house....all these things made it hard to get up and leave on Sunday. Thank you all for allowing us to stay at your home, it was a blessing to say the least. Marty, Kelly & Diesel.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at the house in Beaufort, SC. The house was clean and our hosts provided all the little niceties that travelers need to feel at home like coffee, candies, laundry detergent, dryer sheets, charcoal etc. The back yard was huge and fenced all the way around, ie, dog friendly. The neighborhood was quiet and serene. We would definitely stay here again!

Great location, Quiet neighborhood, half a block from Spanish Moss Trail, easy access. Charming 2 bedrooms, fluffy towels and high quality sheets made our stay delightful. The large fenced backyard was perfect for our English Setter and the patio and screened porch perfect for us! We ate out at Melissa’s fav restaurants and grilled in with fresh fish from Sea Eagle. Kitchen was well appointed with everything we needed. We will definitely stay again!

From the moment we drove up, to walking into the house, we knew this was going to be great. Melissa sets a wonderful example for others to follow. They say first impressions are what counts, and as soon as we walked in the door, there was soft lighting and music playing. We already felt at home. The Basset Hounds loved the back yard which was so spacious with lots of smells to keep them occupied. And the fence was perfect. The kitchen was well stocked with everything to cook with, great knives and great cookware. The living room was cozy and the dinning room is great for dinners. The bedrooms were wonderful with luxurious pillows that my wife loved. The bathroom, though small, had a great shower and towels. The neighborhood was wonderful and the Spanish Moss Trail a joy to walk with the pups and bike with my wife. Bikes were available along with several other amenities. Of all the Vrbo's, this one is primo and other sites could use Hermitage as an example of how to get it right. We will return for another Great Basset Adventure in Beaufort and Hermitage house.

There were many thoughtful details put into the rental such as labels, a laundry basket, stocked kitchen, park pass and property notebook (you felt like you were having a conversation with the owner when reading through it!!). The backyard was amazing and perfect for the kids and dog. A great location with easy access to downtown and around the islands. We will definitely stay here again when we come back to visit!!

Melissa is great, and got back to me super fast if I had any questions. The yard was perfect if you bring your dog. The Spanish moss trial is literally 2 houses from the property. We used the bikes that the house comes with but if you are a biker bring your own. The trial is 10 miles and it truly is stunning. Beaufort is amazing. Restaurants were very good, downtown is beautiful. It's very close to Charlston for day trip. Hunting Island state park is a must.
