We stayed at Il Madonnino as two families (4 kids total), and it was an absolutely wonderful place to spend time together in Tuscany. The setting is hard to beat. You’re surrounded by olive groves and vineyards with wide, open views over the Chianti hills. We spent a lot of time just sitting outside taking it all in—especially from the pool and the upper terrace, which quickly became favorite spots. The house worked really well for our group. It’s spacious and laid out in a way that makes it easy to gather together but also find quiet corners when needed. The kitchen and dining areas were where we spent most of our time indoors, and everything was well equipped for cooking and eating together as a group. Bedrooms were comfortable and flexible, which helped with two families sharing the space.Outside was where we spent most of our time. The kids had a great time exploring the olive grove and running around the grounds, which felt very safe and open. The pool was a big highlight for everyone, and the shaded outdoor dining area made long dinners outside easy and relaxed. The host was also very helpful and made everything straightforward, which we really appreciated.Overall, it was an easy, relaxed stay in a beautiful setting—exactly what we were hoping for in Tuscany, and a place we’d happily return to.
