We had the most incredible stay at the Desiterra hotel. The hotel was beautifully presented and clean. As a family of 4 we hired the family villa which was lovely with our own pool and fairly spacious. The staff are absolutely wonderful at the property and made our stay so worthwhile. They took care of everything we could ask for. We used all the facilities: the spa was great and we had a wonderful massage, the gym which was a little small but has what you need, the pool which has lovely views, and the restaurant had exquisite food - highly recommend the lamb chops and beef tagliata! All in all we couldn’t recommend the hotel more. We would certainly go back.

Excellent property with superb swimming pool and sea view. All rooms have their own pools too. Rooms are spacious and very nice. People//team is also very good. We had a ln opportunity to meet owner of hotel who was also kind enough to spake to us and take our small suggestions very positively.

Excellent accommodations at this quite and welcoming hotel. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The spa and other amenities were superb. Beautiful pool with swim up bar. Our unit had its own pool! We had an opportunity to meet the owner, who is a great host himself and very approachable. If you want to be away from crowds, this is the hotel. Fira is only 10 minutes away.

Struttura complessivamente molto bella dagli appartamenti allo scorcio di visuale sul mare. Alba fenomenale. Professionalità e gentilezza del personale completano l'ottimo servizio, pulizia e l'ottima colazione con scelta varia e ricca. Migliorabile la palestra ma comunque servizio gradito e funzionale per allenarsi.Bellissima la piscina principale (Eiffel) con bar e sedute in acqua!Nulla da eccepire. Complimenti al Desiterra per l'ospitalità dal benvenuto con bottiglia di vino e dedica molto apprezzati.

The amenities are perfect and wonderful. The word buffet does not have the same meaning however the breakfasts were great nonetheless. The exclusiveness is the key word for this place. The privacy, the luxury and relaxation away from the mobs of tourists is divine! Next time I schedule a longer stay, our three days was just not enough!

A beautiful hotel on Santorini. Quiet, clean with great accommodations. Stayed in a villa with a family of 5. Off the beaten path from Fira. On-site restaurant is great. Walking distance to fantastic beach and restaurant. Road to the hotel is an adventure, and prices are on the high end for Greece.

The hotel was clean and very nice. We stayed in a loft honeymoon suite with private pool. The pool was not heated so kind of cold. Also by 3 pm it was shaded for the day as it was on the north side of the room. So end of day time at pool ended up being the common pool. The room was amazing, very nice. There are pool towels available. They say they will bring them out but never do you have to ask. Food was quite expensive compared to within town. It’s a 10 minute drive to virtually anything, the hotel is all on its own no where to walk around.

This was our second visit to Desiterra, the site is excellent just as they were last year, staff are fantastic and the spa was bloody lovely! We had a couples massage and it was well worth it. Superb service from everyone and bloody lovely part of the island because it’s quiet and you can enjoy a beautiful sunrise! The man who runs the restaurant and bar Sandesh is bloody excellent. Breakfast has a great selection on the menu for everyone. Lunch and dinner options are also great, but we explored a lot more of the island this time round so ate out most days. Room was clean, tidy, and well kitted out. 100% recommend and we will probably go back again!

This was an amazing vacation for our family. We stayed in the saffron gatherers villa which had two bedrooms and two bathrooms, kitchen, nice patio and pool. The villa has AC and it was nice a cool and the patio had the best breeze. The climate was amazing. The breakfast was great with a variety of egg omelettes and eggs and variety of pancake choices (Nutella), greek yogurt and granola, juices. Friendly staff, rooms were super clean and the staff was very attentive . Short car ride to Fira and Oia. We spent some days at the beaches and one day with caldera yachting on a sunset sail (which we HIGHLY recommend) The hotel is in the most perfect location, you can get every where relatively quickly. It is away from the hustle bustle and very peaceful and serene with the most amazing sunrises. The spa has great therapists and treatments as well. The beds were so comfortable and the showers had great water pressure and cold and hot water that never ran out. We travelled with three children. There are not enough stars to rate how amazing this hotel/villa is - amazing!

My husband and I stayed here for two weeks. Our room was very clean and spacious. The outdoor patio area with pool was lovely. The food was fantastic for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Sandesh and Pemba who work in the restaurant were amazing. They were alway smiling, accommodating, and very hard working! The driver for the hotel, Argyris was great! He is super friendly and funny! Everyone at the hotel made you feel like family. I hope to return to this secluded peaceful gem by the sea.

The room was nice, however the service was really poor. We got a private villa (for privacy...) Firstly, the worker would come into the garden and walked by the pool whilst we were there. Secondly, instead of knocking on the door to speak to us, he would go into the neighbouring villa and talk over the hedge to ask us questions. Bearing in mind we were dress inappropriately so found it very disturbing. Due to the poor sewage system (I assume) the sinks in the room were extremely smelly (like a rotten egg) we complained multiple times until they decided to come and attempt to clean it - but the smell was still present. Overall the room was nice, but smelly and the service was poor. If it was only a few hundred for the stay it wouldn't be bad, but when you pay 1k+ it's very disappointing. We also mentioned it was our anniversary but no efforts were made - not expecting anything, but an acknowledgement would have been appreciated.

Le cadre golbal est excellent. Le personnel est gentil,serviable et disponible. La salle de sport ne correspond à cette gamme d'hotel,trés décevant en sous sol et trés peu d'éuqipement.la salle de bain il y avait de la moisissure en quantité et le tuyau percé du pommeau montre qu'il y a pas eu fe controle..décevant pour un resort 5étoiles. Environnement des chiens trés bruyant gout le séjour malgré semble t il une intervention de police. Sinon secteur calme.
Le cadre golbal est excellent. Le personnel est gentil,serviable et disponible. Excellent stay at Desiterra Resort & Spa. Staff were incredibly friendly and always willing to help. Easy to contact via WhatsApp and book transport into Fira. Area is picturesque with the Villa looking out towards the sea. If you are looking for a quiet and relaxing trip, with the option of popping into Fira, this is for you. Only slight issue was the shower temperature was slightly inconsistent - but I’m sure is an easy fix. Would highly recommend

We had a really nice stay! They staff were very kind and helpful. We had some issues with our WiFi. This caused us to have some communication issues with the front desk. But they were very quick to resolve our issues. The food was incredible and the spa service was amazing!

Title: Peaceful, Private & Perfect! Desiterra was the highlight of our Santorini trip! The private villa and pool were gorgeous—super clean, and so relaxing. It’s in a quiet spot just outside of Fira, which was perfect for us. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful with anything we needed. The two Mikes and Evi at the front desk were welcoming and attentive. Sandash and Peuiba in the dining room were excellent bar tenders and Servers. Loved the eco-friendly vibe too. If you want peace, privacy, and great service, this is the place. One area of improvement would be the availability of English speaking channels on TV . Otherwise this is a perfect spot to unwind after long days of sightseeing in Fira and Oia.
Title: Peaceful, Private & Perfect! Desiterra was the highlight of our Santorini trip! The private villa and pool were gorgeous—super clean, and so relaxing. It’s in a quiet spot just outside of Fira, which was perfect for us. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful with anything we needed. The two Mikes and Evi at the front desk were welcoming and attentive. Sandash and Peuiba in the dining room were excellent bar tenders and Servers. Loved the eco-friendly vibe too. If you want peace, privacy, and great service, this is the place. One area of improvement would be the availability of English speaking channels on TV . Otherwise this is a perfect spot to unwind after long days of sightseeing in Fira and Oia.

My husband and I stayed here for two weeks. Our room was very clean and spacious. The outdoor patio area with pool was lovely. The food was fantastic for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Sandesh and Pemba who work in the restaurant were amazing. They were alway smiling, accommodating, and very hard working! The driver for the hotel, Argyris was great! He is super friendly and funny! Everyone at the hotel made you feel like family. I hope to return to this secluded peaceful gem by the sea.

The room was nice, however the service was really poor. We got a private villa (for privacy...) Firstly, the worker would come into the garden and walked by the pool whilst we were there. Secondly, instead of knocking on the door to speak to us, he would go into the neighbouring villa and talk over the hedge to ask us questions. Bearing in mind we were dress inappropriately so found it very disturbing. Due to the poor sewage system (I assume) the sinks in the room were extremely smelly (like a rotten egg) we complained multiple times until they decided to come and attempt to clean it - but the smell was still present. Overall the room was nice, but smelly and the service was poor. If it was only a few hundred for the stay it wouldn't be bad, but when you pay 1k+ it's very disappointing. We also mentioned it was our anniversary but no efforts were made - not expecting anything, but an acknowledgement would have been appreciated.

The hotel was clean and very nice. We stayed in a loft honeymoon suite with private pool. The pool was not heated so kind of cold. Also by 3 pm it was shaded for the day as it was on the north side of the room. So end of day time at pool ended up being the common pool. The room was amazing, very nice. There are pool towels available. They say they will bring them out but never do you have to ask. Food was quite expensive compared to within town. It’s a 10 minute drive to virtually anything, the hotel is all on its own no where to walk around.

Only slight issue was the shower temperature was slightly inconsistent - but I’m sure is an easy fix. Would highly recommend

This property is beautiful and is very well maintained. The staff here are amazing! The location is a bit remote, about 10 minutes drive from Fira, but offers a peaceful atmosphere with great amenities. I would like to send out a special shoutout to both Michael at the front desk and Argyris, the hotel driver. Michael was always professional and always willing to help in booking excursions and transportation and made good recommendations. Argyris was absolutely amazing!!!! His level of professionalism, strong work ethic and patience, sets him apart from the rest of the staff. He has a paternal effervescence that makes you feel safe and well cared for.

⸻ Our stay here was truly enjoyable. We were picked up from the airport by a private shuttle and welcomed in style. The staff were all friendly and extremely helpful, making our entire experience worthwhile. The restaurant waiters did a fantastic job—every meal was absolutely delicious. The rooms were clean and exactly as described. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would happily return.

I loved all the staff members, Zoi and Michalis at the front desk, Kalia Hercules and Pascals at the restaurant/bar. They really made our stay the best it could have ever been. Their kindness and hospitality was off the charts, some of the best I have experienced at any resort. I especially liked how we were talked to about main attractions, restaurants and things to do in Santorini as soon as we arrived for our stay. And they were able to book everything through the resort for us- including my rental car. It was so efficient and very convenient. I also particularly like the WhatsApp front desk feature- where you can ask them a question any time via message on whats app. So convenient, and they are always online to help!!! I also really like how they have food going almost all the time- breakfast then lunch, then dinner. And room service. A 5 star sublime resort and experience for sure! Thank you again Desiterra I already want to come back!

The staff was very friendly and helpful! They use a WhatsApp, so that made communication super easy!! Our room unfortunately, had a very strong sewage smell. They were very responsive and she came at 10 pm to check and poured chemicals down the drains to help. This is apparently a problem across the island- we did notice a stench in other places. The chemicals did help and we were super appreciative of them working on it! We both really enjoyed breakfast! Wasn’t a problem for us because we were only staying for one day, but it’s not the most convent. Be prepared for taxis, using the (paid) shuttle, or renting transport.

This was our second visit to Desiterra, the site is excellent just as they were last year, staff are fantastic and the spa was bloody lovely! We had a couples massage and it was well worth it. Superb service from everyone and bloody lovely part of the island because it’s quiet and you can enjoy a beautiful sunrise! The man who runs the restaurant and bar Sandesh is bloody excellent. Breakfast has a great selection on the menu for everyone. Lunch and dinner options are also great, but we explored a lot more of the island this time round so ate out most days. Room was clean, tidy, and well kitted out. 100% recommend and we will probably go back again!

Nice villas and very nice and accommodating staff. the location is a 15-20 min drive to oia and 10 min drive to Fira. You must rent or arrange some sort of transportation (taxis can get expensive). They provide transportation from airport for 30 euros. The area nearby is under construction and really nothing to do near the resort itself. The resort does have a kitchen for breakfast, lunch and dinner and can be sent to the room. Sunset you will not be able to see the actual sun but the sky is pretty and there are many stars at night.

Ein Traum in ruhiger Lage. Am Nettesten waren Sandesh und seine Frau am Frühstück. Abgelegen ist das Desiterra sicher nicht, sondern genau in der Mitte der Insel. Santorini ist eine wunderschöne kleine Insel und mit dem Auto ist man sofort überall, in Fiera in weniger als 10 Minuten. Die kleine Villa war geräumig und der eigene Pool war toll. Unbedingt empfehlenswert. Geht lieber ins Desiterra als in eine der Caves am Kraterrand, wenn Ihr schöne, ruhige und entspannte Ferien wollt. Auch der Eigentümer Dimitri war sehr nett.

This was an amazing vacation for our family. We stayed in the saffron gatherers villa which had two bedrooms and two bathrooms, kitchen, nice patio and pool. The villa has AC and it was nice a cool and the patio had the best breeze. The climate was amazing. The breakfast was great with a variety of egg omelettes and eggs and variety of pancake choices (Nutella), greek yogurt and granola, juices. Friendly staff, rooms were super clean and the staff was very attentive . Short car ride to Fira and Oia. We spent some days at the beaches and one day with caldera yachting on a sunset sail (which we HIGHLY recommend) The hotel is in the most perfect location, you can get every where relatively quickly. It is away from the hustle bustle and very peaceful and serene with the most amazing sunrises. The spa has great therapists and treatments as well. The beds were so comfortable and the showers had great water pressure and cold and hot water that never ran out. We travelled with three children. There are not enough stars to rate how amazing this hotel/villa is - amazing!

Desiterra is like a private paradise in busy Santorini. You definitely need a car to move around the island as it’s remote from anything else but also that’s what makes it so special. Once you are in the hotel areas you feel a sense of calm, serenity and relaxation that is the best way to start and finish a busy tourism day. The villas are unreal, all the small details make the stay very comfortable and you feel like you have your own home in Santorini and what a home! The staff make the stay even better with their professionalism in making every guest feel special. Everyone is extremely helpful, friendly and the best in what their do what makes a difference. We had a beautiful time staying in the honeymoon villa! It is perfect for couples! Very secluded and spacious! The pool was great for the super hot days we had. The property is outside of the city and there is only one hilly rocky road that leads to it. It is a 50 minute walk to Fira so be prepared to rent an ATV, Car or pay 25€ each way for a transfer. For example, We needed to go to the market our first day, it cost us 50€. Aside from that the entire staff are amazing — The drivers, cleaning ladies, hotel staff, every one of them! So welcoming and ready to help in a moments notice! We highly recommend this property!

We really like staying at this property because it’s not in the central town area. It’s out on the island a little ways which makes it very quiet, and less crowded than most areas. It’s a very short drive to get to anywhere that you want to go, so it was nice to be out and away from the hustle and bustle of the cities.we really enjoyed the room we stayed in and it was nice to have your own private pool! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Communication was a struggle at times but we always worked through it. The food at the property is very good as well! We would certainly return for a second stay!

Struttura complessivamente molto bella dagli appartamenti allo scorcio di visuale sul mare. Alba fenomenale. Professionalità e gentilezza del personale completano l'ottimo servizio, pulizia e l'ottima colazione con scelta varia e ricca. Migliorabile la palestra ma comunque servizio gradito e funzionale per allenarsi.Bellissima la piscina principale (Eiffel) con bar e sedute in acqua!Nulla da eccepire. Struttura complessivamente molto bella dagli appartamenti allo scorcio di visuale sul mare. Alba fenomenale. Professionalità e gentilezza del personale completano l'ottimo servizio, pulizia e l'ottima colazione con scelta varia e ricca. Migliorabile la palestra ma comunque servizio gradito e funzionale per allenarsi.Bellissima la piscina principale (Eiffel) con bar e sedute in acqua!Nulla da eccepire. ⸻ Our stay here was truly enjoyable. We were picked up from the airport by a private shuttle and welcomed in style. The staff were all friendly and extremely helpful, making our entire experience worthwhile. The restaurant waiters did a fantastic job—every meal was absolutely delicious. The rooms were clean and exactly as described. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would happily return.

Very secluded, quiet, & beautiful. The staff was more than accommodating at all times. The food was impeccable. And the accommodations were breathtaking. Would definitely recommend and we have plans to return. The River was the room to be in.

My husband and I stayed here for two weeks. Our room was very clean and spacious. The outdoor patio area with pool was lovely. The food was fantastic for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Sandesh and Pemba who work in the restaurant were amazing. They were alway smiling, accommodating, and very hard working! The driver for the hotel, Argyris was great! He is super friendly and funny! Everyone at the hotel made you feel like family. I hope to return to this secluded peaceful gem by the sea.

The hotel was clean and very nice. We stayed in a loft honeymoon suite with private pool. The pool was not heated so kind of cold. Also by 3 pm it was shaded for the day as it was on the north side of the room. So end of day time at pool ended up being the common pool. The room was amazing, very nice. There are pool towels available. They say they will bring them out but never do you have to ask. Food was quite expensive compared to within town. It’s a 10 minute drive to virtually anything, the hotel is all on its own no where to walk around.

This was our second visit to Desiterra, the site is excellent just as they were last year, staff are fantastic and the spa was bloody lovely! We had a couples massage and it was well worth it. Superb service from everyone and bloody lovely part of the island because it’s quiet and you can enjoy a beautiful sunrise! The man who runs the restaurant and bar Sandesh is bloody excellent. Breakfast has a great selection on the menu for everyone. Lunch and dinner options are also great, but we explored a lot more of the island this time round so ate out most days. Room was clean, tidy, and well kitted out. 100% recommend and we will probably go back again!

The views that we had from our villa was the best of all, but as soon as you get inside of the villa you get that bad smell from the bathroom sewer, the breakfast is nightmare not a lot of choices and even with what they offer a probably a 5 years old will cook better. To get to the property is another story, the roads are dangerous and no light or sign to the property except I believe at the beginning of the main road.

The front office staff ( Harpreet & Michael) were very curtious, prompt and customer focused. The Restaurant staff (Sandesh & Sandeep) were very friendly and welcoming. Some suggestions for improvement at the property. Outside Window shutters rattled all night long and need to be better secured Ensure there is hot water in the shower at all times which was lacking. No complimentary shuttle to the port for pickup nor drop off . Door to the bathroom/shower did not lock in the master bedroom

We had an amazing experience at this hotel! The service was excellent, and the entire staff was incredibly kind and welcoming. A special thank you to Sandesh from the restaurant area, who was exceptionally friendly, attentive, and always made us feel so well taken care of. His kindness truly made our stay even more special. What a fantastic start to our island-hopping holiday. We spent two nights relaxing here after our flight and it ticked every box. The resort is beautiful and immaculately clean. We stayed in a Signature Villa which was well designed and spacious with a private pool which was just perfect. The staff were more than helpful and immediately attentive to our every need. Big shout out to Sandesh who looked after us so well in the bar and restaurant. He had just the right balance between friendly and professional, as had his wife and brother who are also on the exceptional team of staff. The food and breakfast and dinner was very good, as were the cocktails. All in all a ten out of ten stay that we would not hesitate to recommend.
