Nice place and easy access to eating and shopping. Parking is poor. You pay 20.00 a night and very tight if you have a truck. Limited parking options on streets. That would be the only deterent from staying here again.

Everything was great and the overall rating would have been an Excellent if not for one of the two elevators being out of service for three of the days we stayed at the hotel. We would definitely stay here again if we are back in Calgary.

This hotel is in an obviously new area of the city focused on commercial/residential mix neighbourhoods. There are a ton of restaurants, coffee shops, pubs, parks, and trails in the vicinity. The AB Children’s Hospital is basically a parking lot away. They have paid underground parking at the hotel and also in a few other spots for the community as well as paid above ground parking kitty corner to the hotel for larger vehicles. The staff were great and really helpful. I’ll absolutely stay there again.

Was assigned to a handicap room that we didn't requested. Upon walked in, there's some funky smell. Room was clean. Area is very walkable and lots of shopping and dining option, street parking is limited and have time limit. $20 parking fee for underground parking with in & out privilege.

Nice neighborhood, great food options, grocery store and coffee shops all walkable. Modern clean hotel, great staff, comfortable beds, nespresso in the room with small fridge and microwave. Underground parking is $20 but is quite convenient.

The area the hotel is in is fantastic. Truthfully the room was very dirty. I was happy I had a spare set of sheets in my vehicle for the bed. Bathroom had fresh towels but no soap. Bottles were right empty if it was hand or shampoo and conditioner. Only good part of the room was the view of the mountains. Overall very poor experience and disappointed for the price point truthfully wish I could get my money back. Definitely be leaving reviews to let people know.

Room was somewhat loud in the mornings (could hear people in the hallway and cars on the street, which woke us up). Probably the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in, very modern too. Walkable to nice restaurants and shops, including a grocery store across the street. Bed was a bit stiff. No safe in the room. No breakfast included. Quick check-in process. Nice view from the room.

Great location and good for a short stay. The hallway can be quite noisy and the doors slam shut. The rim itself was comfortable but my only complaint would be the pillows. They deflate and are completely flat when you lie on them!

New and clean. Funky decor but not a place to stay more than a night or two. No fridge in room which makes it hard to keep drinks or leftovers cold. Would be far better to have a fridge than the Nespresso machine which made terrible coffee. Pillows were horrible. The doors are extremely heavy and bang shut which makes for a lot of noise from neighbors. Overall an ok place for a quick visit

The area was quite nice. The only real issue was the lack of staff at the front desk. There was no one there to greet us upon checkin. The parking situation was awful—very limited parking. The parkade was tiny and was full (and steep for $20 even if there was parking available), so we had to back out and find street parking. It would have been nice for staff to give us a heads up about the limited availability in the first place instead of charging ahead for the parking. We were also surprised that there was no express checkout option. The hotel was nice and new, but the service just don’t cut it for us.

The hotel itself is so modern but feels like home. It has an air of minimalism in the room and yet very functional. The lobby and their business centre feels so cozy to read a book or write a letter. Love the restaurant inside (had dinner and pizza take out another night and both are superb). Special shoutout to their lovely front desk crew especially Thanh (May 1, 2 and 3) who was so attentive and just happy to help and answer questions. The surrounding area is so clean, compact, convenient, lots of dining options (shoutout to OEB, Sesame and Village Ice Cream). I would love to go back to Calgary if only because of Alt Hotel at the University District.

The hotel is fine, especially if you have business at the university. It is the first time in a very long time that I experienced a hotel room without a refrigerator- this is a bad thing for diabetics and I strongly urge anyone thinking of staying here that they specifically inquire about this if they stay. The hotel website says you can ask for a fridge but when I did I was denied. I was told I could bring anything I wanted to the front desk for refrigeration, but that policy was inconsistently held by the staff - some gave me some grief over it, others were fine. Still, not ideal. The other reason this is such a bad policy is that there is a fantastic grocery store next door and you can’t buy any milk or cream or anything to be kept cold - which would be great otherwise! My last issue is that as a short-ish person the coffee maker is placed on a shelf higher than my head. I had to stand on a chair to figure out how it worked. Who designed this? It’s unsafe and impractical. Staff were friendly, but inconsistent in policies. Hotel was clean. Minimal amenities. Pretty quiet. Fantastic view!

This room did not have a fridge for some reason. We got a parking ticket I. The underground parking of the hotel even though we were registered guests. They were apologetic and took care of it for us.

I like the neighbourhood and the hotel itself feels new. Charcut downstairs also has excellent food. Across the street is Monogram Coffee and a grocery store. Can’t really go wrong with the place.

Construction next door was not a problem. Great vibe in the neighbourhood. View of the mountains. Grocery across the street. Good amenities and a terrific on-site restaurant. Highly recommend Alt Hotel University District.

Great staff. Restaurant is not open on some days but other options really close by. Tv programming really is awful unless you like the news. Stayed there multiple times and can NEVER find anything on the channels they have
