Citadines Walker North Sydney

Centrally located updated hotel. It was great for what we needed. Parking slightly challenging but better than the CBD.

Comfy beds, very nice new rooms, friendly service. Plenty of places to eat close by. Parking is a bit challenging. With a bit of a walk to the car park and the train station

Well designed, friendly hotel located adjacent a metro station and several supermarkets. This area is a great area for walking too. We made or way down to the foreshore. There is also a good gym and Laundy in the hotel.

Very good hotel but carpark is a big issue.

Citadines on Walker is a lovely new hotel in North Sydney. The reception is quite difficult to find, so make sure you go up to Level 5 from the street. The rooms are nicely decorated, modern and very clean. Next time, I will get a slightly larger room as the one I booked felt a little small. The hotel is located adjacent to many nice restaurants and bars, and there are several supermarkets and chemists close by.

The hotel is very nice, and the restaurant and bar superb. There’s a well equipped gym, laundry room, and hangout area which was handy, and the staff were super friendly. The rooms are nice, spacious, and clean, but the lighting was comically bad! The rooms have these poorly positioned directional spot downlights which make it very very difficult to apply makeup or iron your clothes and they just cast very bad light and shadows across the whole space. It probably comes up well in photos but it’s like stage lighting rather than anything you’d want to live in.

Good location, close to train station and amenities. Nice staff, gym is decent. Breakfast is a bit disappointing as it is a bistro style with limited choice.

I liked the rooms and restaurant but thinks it’s absolutely ridiculous that this property doesn’t have its own parking and I had to walk in the rain with all my luggage up the street around the block to get to and from my car.

New property, reception on level 5 which is odd and not best signage. Elevators to floors take a while. Slow process to check out of a morning if busy.

Easy check in very kind professional staff. Rooms are kept clean and really close to public transportation, supermarket and shopping if you would like to do that as well. Pretty simple place on the 6th floor where you can wash your clothes and also head to the gym.

Very clean and comfy!

The cleaning service was lacking, no fresh coffee cups the next day, no towels.

The hotel is lovely, and in a very convenient location. The room has a beautiful view except it wasn’t cleaned properly as I can see rubbish (like bread crumbs) on the bedside table.

My stay would have been great if I hadn’t found a used condom in my trashcan when I opened it to put my mango peels in. I immediately call the front desk to come take it out. This traumatized me, I could not get it out my mind.

Overall, it was adequate. The room was surface neat, but the walls had some stains from something that had dropped down them. The hallway on my floor had small items on the floor that had been there the 3 days I was there.

We enjoyed the view of Sydney Harbour from our room. Room was very clean. We slept well every night, it was quiet and the beds were very comfortable. Check in was a bit slow and unfortunately the staff couldn't tell us which lunch spots were open on the weekend. Parking offered by Citadines was too expensive, we found on street parking but had to walk a long way.

maybe it s all in black, that s why I get to see more dust with my eyes.. but dust everywhere. and I doubt cleaners can clean thoroughly as the lights in the room is a bit deemed out. shower head was broken, so could not fix the head, I had to use backwall to fix it...

The room was very dusty and the bedsheet was dirty. We reported it, but the staff ignored us all day. When my husband went down, they told him to change it himself. He refused, and only around 11 pm did someone finally come to change the bed. It was very disappointing, as they should have taken care of it the first time we asked.

Stayed at this hotel for 4 nights while on a girls weekend in Sydney. Fantastic location, just over the harbour bridge but with easy walking access to both Victoria Cross metro station and North Sydney train station. A quick trip into central Sydney which was great! Coles is 2mina down the road as is Chemist Warehouse for all those essentials. Rooms are modern and clean, great shower and comfy bed. Only drawback for me was the moody lighting which made it difficult with makeup and the lack of plugs in the bathroom for hairdryer, straighteners etc. Meant using a plug above the fridge and awkwardly trying to see in the mirror by the front door. Even a plug directly outside the bathroom would have worked better. Overall great stay and value for money.

Stay was great, only downside was the air conditioner couldn’t get the room cold enough. Room was super clean, a bit dark and moody and could use a bit more light. I didn’t have breakfast at the hotel.

The room lighting is dark, need to be improved.

The good: Front desk staff really helpful. Location is excellent and room was spacious and comfortable. There is a gym and seatings for meetings at the 6th floor where the Internet works. The bad: shower with low pressure. Air conditioning does not heat the room in winter. Room service was very spotty. Restaurant is overpriced. The ugly: worst Internet I’ve ever experienced at a hotel room in the last 5 years. Literally unusable so I needed to spend in 5G to have my meetings. Even calls on whatapp barely worked. Also I forgot 2 MagSafe batteries on the bed and only one was found. 🙄 All of this reflects my 3 stars review. I wouldn’t stay ant this hotel again.

Lightning was a little dull & no power point in the bathroom but otherwise great .

Really liked every aspect except air conditioning in room would not go lower than 23 degrees so room was too stuffy for good sleep

Such a comfortable bed and lovely room, every thing perfect except for the city views advertised which was a view of building next door.

First room was great however the wifi didnt work which I needed for work. I let them know twice the first night and in the morning it still wasnt fixed. I asked them again and they said theyd get someone to look at it. An hour later I had to check in with them again and they finally moved me to a different level where the wifi was working. The new room was much smaller, and there was never an apology or anything. Wifi is a necessity in any hotel these days, and even the ethernet ports werent hard wired for some reason. Hotel was good but staff werent all that friendly or welcoming I felt.

This is a stylish hotel close to the Victoria Cross metro station. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very quiet. Coles grocery was nearby and a number of restaurants and bars. There is a bar fridge, but no microwave. The lighting in the bathroom isn't great and there's no plug. I did my makeup and hair outside the bathroom. The carpets were a little dusty, but otherwise it was super clean. I didn't use the gym or eat in the in-house restaurant.

Staff were so helpful and friendly. They allowed me to use the showers in the gym before check out and before my flight home. Generally couldn't talk highly enough of the hotel. The view i had on the 23rd floor was amazing, catching some of the Harbour bridge. Its also a very quiet hotel and the location is great with train/metro's very nearby.

After check in, another guest was provided a key to my room and was allowed access. Staff did not tell me about this and I only found out from the other guest. Room was great and quite however the service from staff considering the safety and security issue left a lot to be desired.

I stayed at Citadines North Sydney for three nights. Location of the hotel is fantastic, nestled amongst skyrises & within a minute walk of a local grocery store, bars & restaurants. The train station is 5 minutes’ walk so it is very convenient if you are reliant on public transport. The hotel itself is a pleasure for the senses. Visually it's impressively decorated & felt plush. The highlight of my stay was the daily inclusive breakfast. I recommend adding this to your booking. The coffee was always on point and the food aesthetically appealing and delicious. I’m giving a special mention to the restaurants front of house staff Andrea. She managed the entire restaurant seamlessly and on her own. Andrea was warm, friendly, professional and extremely proficient. She is an asset to Citadines. My room had it’s pros and cons. The room was clean & the bed was very comfortable. Good quality products were provided. The room was too dark even with all the lights on. This became particularly difficult when trying to apply make-up. The bathroom lacked power points for use of a hair dryer etc and the sink was too high. I feel the design lacked consideration in these aspects. The service I received from hotel staff was mixed. Front counter staff were either pleasant to deal with or too busy for pleasantries. They did not answer the phone the 3 times I called over a span of 2 hours when trying to ask for replenishments. I went to reception to get the items & the manager was apologetic.

I will never stay there again and my company has been advised never to book me into that property again. Your check -in staff was either totally incompetent or straight out lied to me. The list is too long but it includes; Would not accept that the first night was paid for and tried to charge me twice. Tried to charge double for the second night. Sent my booking details for the second night to a third party and not me. Tried to renege on my late check out. Lied about the internet not working. Enough said, my solicitor will decide if we take further action or just walk away and encounter others not to stay there.

Arrived to motel. No one available to check us in for over an hour. Appalling customer service. Indicated late check in and was advised via email to wait for room to be ready and still no one available upon arrival

Great hotel but they don't seem to adhere to all gold/vip member benefits as in early check in (yes I'm aware its subject to avaiability) but when you have to argue with the staff that it's on my booking and they know nothing about it, there's 100% miscommunication between hotels.com and the hotel. other than that it's a great hotel and great location. very comfortable.

AVOID! Very very very poor service. I have stayed here several times for multiple nights during the week and they are losing a repeat client as their service has gone really bad since previous. Room absolutely stank of sewerage on arrival so had to change rooms. Breakfast paid $40 each day in my booking. After waiting 40 mins for breakfast (which I paid for) I asked how soon it would be ready and they said another 15 - 20 mins. I requested dinner instead of breakfast and they refused and said all they could offer was a free drink even though they didn't supply breakfast which I paid $40 for. I tried to explain this to them and they would not help Don't answer phone calls at reception or restaurant from the room, rings out or hangs up. Wouldn't do anything apart from tell me what they couldn't do. Nothing to offer to fix the experience. Also no parking deals. Nothing onsite, only parking options nearby are a complete rip off. No utensils in rooms. No salt or pepper. Lifts are very slow Asked for a low floor but they put me on level 22 The manager was going to email me but heard nothing. Badly run - useless awful service. AVOID!

Great hotel in a good location in North Sydney - close to the Metro. Very comfortable bed and terrific views of the harbour.

Beautiful new building. Clean. Great service. Within 5 min walking from to two stations. 5 min walking distance from Coles, Woolworths and Aldi. 5 min from many cafes and restaurants.

Small but tidy studio. No noise from traffic and great location.

All staff were excellent. The staff at the service desk were great and those serving breakfast were excellent - friendly and highly competent. Thank you!

Clean room and friendly staff. The breakfast options at restaurant were of good quality and variety. However, the dinner options were not; especially, for those with allergies (seafood, nuts).

Service was fantastic! Specially at the brekkie.

Great hotel will be back. The restaurant menu is terrible though, I really hope they change it to a new one.

Bit of a mixed review for this one, but overall it was quite positive. The hotel is close to Victoria Cross Metro, which is super handy. The neighbourhood is clean, trendy, and felt safe at night. The interior design is modern and understated. I really liked the dark, moody bathroom. However, the kitchen area could use more lighting since it’s quite dark. The view wasn’t great, but I imagine the higher grade rooms have better ones. There were a few minor issues here and there. The handheld shower head was left facing up and out, so it sprayed in my face when turning on the shower. That wasn’t particularly pleasant, but I had to laugh. Some small cleaning details were missed like buildup on the bathroom vent, noticeably some silicone and grout jobs that weren’t done properly, soap drips that were left on bottles, and water stains on the glass. I should specify that the bathroom was still clean, though. Probably just being pedantic. The air conditioning struggled to reach the lowest setting, which made it a little too warm to sleep for my liking, but the bed was really cosy. High praise for the staff: all were professional, attentive, and quick to resolve any issues I had. The team at Bar Lettera were also wonderful. Meals were good quality but were overpriced and under-portioned in my opinion, especially since the sides cost extra. Despite the imperfections, I enjoyed my stay overall and given the opportunity, I’d stay again.
