Everything was great except for the “playboy party” that was for the public but made it so we had to vacate the property! The pool then was invaded by gross disgusting people (1200 came to this!) and we decided NOT to use it until it was shocked the next day…. That was a one day we could not use it! I think we should have been compensated. Otherwise it was a beautiful site and I definitely would stay again.

We stayed at the Mansion for 2 nights. The pool was ice cold the entire stay, we were told the heater was broken. In the future we will never stay in room 106 again, it is right next to the public restrooms that are open to the public until 8 pm. Which is very noisy and annoying because of all the people. The TV in the room worked the first night but the second night it did not work. The staff gave us $87 dollars off of our 2 night stay, which was $1200. We won’t be going back to this hotel, as there are several others to choose from in the Keys.

Picked this hotel because it was adults only. Place was beautiful with a nice heated pool open 24 hrs. Breakfast was good too. The only thing was the bed was very sqeaky (not good for our romantic night). It also needed more electric outlets. I would stay here again. Plus it had ghosts. 👍

This property is full of history and character. The staff helpful and friendly. Not a problem for us but there is no lift/elevator, they offered to take our bags to our room which was on the top floor (UK 2nd/US 3rd). Self serve breakfast provided which was great - plenty of options; fresh fruit, yoghurts, bagels, juice, cereal, pastries. Chilled bottled water available all day. Is at the end of busy Duval St, so during the daytime is quite busy with tourists visiting the cafe adjacent to the residents only pool, but at night was quiet. The hotel was also a participating venue in the Songwriters Festival, so live country music and tourists were present in the afternoon!

Get outside of the standard hotel setting and enjoy a personal experience at the Mansion. Beautiful old home with great character, wonderful staff (Nina was super friendly and happy to engage in historical conversations), amazing food on premise (owner's son) at the Seaside Cafe, and the location is absolutely perfect. Ideal sunrise and sunset location, on the south end of Duval St, this is the perfect place to start and finish your daily exploration of the island. Highly recommend

It was a very nice place to stay. Very clean. Great staff. It is absolutely oceanfront however don’t expect a beach. There is a “ beach” area but it’s full of sargassum. Not ideal swimming

Stayed for one night there and it was ok, room is nice enough, bed is comfortable but bathroom was a bit tired. It's a good hotel but not for £600 a night, I think the price is based on history of the hotel rather than quality of stay you get.

Two historic (previously) homes with rooms that have been turned into sleeping/convenience suites. Not a modernized hotel experience if that is what yo are seeking. Very antiqueish, unique, and rustic and right on the oceanside - however there is no beach area for this hotel. Buildings and rooms retain an authentic old-style appearance but look to have been remodeled some time ago and are in need of basic or new repairs & maintenance - everything inside and outside, as well as the garden grounds, seem a bit shabby, neglected, and not getting the regular "professional" care that such a place deserves - shameful. Parking is good. Continental breakfast is good. Staff is friendly. Location is excellent and very convenient for walking, biking, and commuting everywhere in Key West, Duval St., and oceanside areas. Many bars, shops, and other "adult" related entertainments nearby but the Key West area is kind of sleazy and very touristy focused - not the best area for bringing kids or for those who do not care to drink and party.

We wanted to have a few days away to unplug and relax. We spent most of the days in the great pool where we could be in the pool and gaze out at the water. With the palm tree providing filtered sun in the mid afternoon, it was a place I could have stayed for days. The rooms were great and clean. The staff was very pleasant, helpful and accommodating.

Did not live up to expectations. Our room was very small and cramped. Ground floor closet was more of a mechanical room as it housed ac, and separate dehumidifier. There is an obvious dampness issue. Huge crack in ceiling plaster right over bed. Cockroaches and little flys appeared on our 3 and final night. I was fooled by the well taken photos of the place as it did not live up to the imagery presented . I’ll refrain from posting my opinion of the owner…. As a seasoned traveler, I would not recommend this place. Poor value for the money

We stayed in the 2 Queen Bed Room in the main house. The room is large ( 500 sq feet) and beautifully furnished. I don't know how big the other rooms are. Everything is excellent. One down side is that there is no elevator. The historic mansion has only 3 floors. The staircase is beautiful. However, If walking upstairs/ downstairs is a problem for you physically, then try to book a room on the 2nd floor or on the ground level.

Little piece of heaven. Charming Mansion with wonderful staff. The Mansion is old but cozy. We loved the place during the day with the pool just next to the water. The only problem we had was during the night. Our room (204) was facing the street and you could hear everything going on outside. The roosters were not the problem but singing screaming people and delivery trucks coming at 5.30 in the morning. But except from that we loved staying at this magic Mansion.

Alex, the hotel manager is amazing. we were welcomed immediately. we do not want to forget Catherine > really sweet smile and conversation. We can't say enough about this property. Our room 205 was in the Lopez house. I think this is the BEST room on the property. We had a perfect view of the Atlantic. You can also see the Atlantic, west of the Southernmost point. Fantastic! Very Important, if you want to see who is going in and out of Pocket park, and the Southernmost cafe, this is the place to be. WE WILL BE Back soon. thanks to all of the staff, especially for the most awesome continental breakfast in Key West

Shy on space, big on charm. We had the Bungalow #103 pool room. It’s tiny but well done. Consider leaving some of your luggage in the car and consolidate if you’re on a long trip. Full of character, the ocean and pool are right outside your door. The property is on the quieter end of Duval, a respite. Staff takes pride in a lovely included breakfast with fantastic local coffee brewed fresh, moist bagels and fresh fruit. Loved the location, the charm, the escape of this stay. Toiletries are good: refillable Papaya shampoo, body wash and conditioner. WHEN YOU CHECK IN, the all-important parking space is provided to you by moving a “Reserved” sign from a parking space inside of the brick lot. Helps to have someone who can clear the sidewalk so driver can enter.

Really good location to walk to everything in Old Town. Breakfast was really good; fresh fruit & croissants etc; not run of the mill. Negatives: limited hot water for showers. Roosters start making noise at 3 am. Old hotel & needs some repairs - doors& walkways.

Felt like i got a "bate and switch" i booked a hotel room with a balcony and a ocean view... i mostly had an ocean view. They put us in there property next door, which is not pictured on there website. There was a noisy air-conditioner we had to lister to all day and night from the restaurant that was on the beach. The staff slam pallets around at 4:30 in the morning. This was not worth the money we paid.

They put us in there property next door, which is not pictured on there website. There was a noisy air-conditioner we had to lister to all day and night from the restaurant that was on the beach. The staff slam pallets around at 4:30 in the morning. This was not worth the money we paid.

The location, staff, and dining was wonderful. When we encountered a minor problem, Alex took care of things immediately. Each staff member we encountered was so nice. The breakfast in the morning was perfect. If you’re looking for lunch or dinner, the cafe had amazing food. You’ve got to try the Street Corn pizza!

Check in was a little disorganized. There was no early check-in, so when we came back, everyone was trying to check in at the same time. The gentleman helping everyone check-in was very chatty making it an even longer process. There was always a line for the outside bathrooms and the pool was too warm. We can't say enough great things about this hotel. As soon as we arrived, we were welcomed by the staff and received excellent service throughout our stay. The Mansion itself is beautiful and our room (204) was perfect. The pool and access to the adjacent bar were fantastic for our "pool days." The pool never got crowded and there were plenty of lounge chairs and beach towels provided. The hotel is conveniently located at the (quieter) end of Duval Street and it's an easy walk or Uber ride to dinners, etc. We also appreciated the complimentary breakfast provided every morning - it's definitely a step-up from the typical continental breakfast provided by many hotels. Truly, we look forward to staying here again in the future.

Can’t say enough good. From the moment we arrived till when we left the staff was great, the property immaculate, and couldn’t be in a better location. Great views, a lot of things were walkable and everything else was never more than a $10 uber ride away.

So close to the action but very quiet with access to the ocean. The free breakfast and Keurig in the room with pods was so appreciated. This is the quieter end of Duval but you can get to all kinds of good stuff with a short to medium walk.

The property was well located at one end of Duval St. Staff were welcoming and friendly throughout our stay. The room was very nice with a comfortable bed. Unfortunately, there were roadworks directly outside the hotel during our stay which created a lot of noise from early morning and meant we couldn’t make use of the lovely balcony. Check with the hotel if the roadworks have cleared before booking your stay, or ask for a room not facing the works.

Fantastic hotel in a great location. The house has lots of history and kept traditional to the build period. Staff were faultless, helpful and very friendly. The only very small downside which is nothing to do with the hotel is the occasional smell from a nearby sewage pipe outlet which is too close to the shore! The city need to get this sorted as it is both bad for marine life and the people we saw swimming around it!

Beautiful old house right on the water at the southernmost beach in the US. Two blocks away from the Southernmost landmark. We got upgraded to a beach view which was very nice. Very friendly service. Restaurant was very good. One little issue, water in the shower was a little finicky. It was either extremely hot or cold. There was something weird about the nozzle that when you turned the hot water down at all it would just be completely gone. So had to shower with very hot water. Maybe only an issue in the room we stayed in.

An absolutely amazing stay. The hotel manager greeted us by name and took care of every detail, including getting us a table at their amazing cafe. We were greeted every morning, the breakfast and coffee were amazing and the staff was super helpful. The history, culture, and vibe of the hotel made it a truly unique and amazing experience. I would recommend it to everyone and we will definitely be back.

Loved our room in Lopez house #206. Apparently the Lopez house will be closed for renovation soon. Breakfast was great with quiche each day, fresh fruit and yogurt plus bagels. The pool feels fantastic. Walked to the pickleball courts at Higgs beach each day.

Get outside of the standard hotel setting and enjoy a personal experience at the Mansion. Beautiful old home with great character, wonderful staff (Nina was super friendly and happy to engage in historical conversations), amazing food on premise (owner's son) at the Seaside Cafe, and the location is absolutely perfect. Ideal sunrise and sunset location, on the south end of Duval St, this is the perfect place to start and finish your daily exploration of the island. Highly recommend

This was such a fun option in beautiful Key West. The hotel gives you the option of staying inside the mansion in 1 of 15 rooms or as we did - by staying in 1 of the 3 bungalows along side the pool area. We also tried the famous lobster pizza from Seaside Cafe located on the grounds of the hotel. The staff was pleasant and very attentive during our stay.

We had a great stay. Can't say enough about the location and amenities! It's in a great spot and the pool and breakfast was great. We also loved the bottled water that came with it! This was a great place for a quick visit! Only complaint was the smell in the main house and right outside of the pool. There was a strong sewer odor that you would smell going in and out.

This is a wonderful old mansion. I love that they did NOT modernize it to the point it’s lost its charm and character. The staff were amazing. The room was nice, clean and cool with a nice view. I would highly recommend staying here. The only negatives experienced is the noise level. Be prepared to hear propane trucks at 6 in the morning stopping at the cafe and the smell of the seaweed can get pretty rough. So if you’re a light sleeper (which unfortunately I am) or if your sense of smell is sensitive, you may not want to stay here. I would give the entire experience here an 8 out 10. I’d give it a 10, but the “traffic and smell” can get to be a little much. However if “old homes” and having an amazing cafe (which serves amazing food, just a few feet away) sounds good to you, thus is your place.
