Je recommande. Très grand hôtel proche du centre de la petite ville de Kusatsu onsen. Tout est immense dans cet hôtel : le restaurant où est servi le petit-déjeuner est tres grand et propose de tres nombreuses sortes de plats différents, il y a plusieurs boutiques de souvenirs dans l'hôtel, un spectacle avec tambours est organisé en soirée, plusieurs bains sont proposés. L'eau est un peu chaude pour un Européen non-habitué mais l'expérience est vraiment intéressante et trés immersive dans la culture japonaise. L'eau sulfureuse est tres bonne pour la peau. Les bains sont très propres et tout est bien organisé pour permettre de se laver et se sécher apres le bain. Le personnel est aux petits soins. Mention spéciale au concierge hongrois qui a été extrêmement gentil et serviable à chaque fois que nous avons eu besoin de lui. N'hésitez pas à venir dans cet hôtel pour votre séjour à Kusatsu Onsen.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Sakurai. We booked the top floor suites, which came with several extra benefits. The room was very large and well laid out, with a kitchen, a bathroom with a jacuzzi and stunning view, two bedrooms, and a living area. We were taken straight to our room by a concierge when we checked in, which was a nice touch. The view was excellent — you could see the town centre from the room. We also had access to the Sakura Lounge, where food and drinks were included, and a more private onsen that was limited to a small number of guests. The hotel prepared a special dinner for special guests in a separate restaurant, using best quality ingredients. The food and service were both excellent. One thing to note is that the hotel is very large, so there are no private hot spring baths. This wasn’t an issue for us, but worth mentioning. The main onsen facilities are very good, especially the outdoor baths, which we would highly recommend. Thank you again for the staff at Sakurai.

We were greeted on arrival by the nicest staff. The lady that was in charge of showing us around was so sweet and informative. She gave us all her recommendation's for an excellent visit to kusatsu and they did not disappoint! We enjoyed the onsens, the new lounge, the drum show and the food! We had so much fun!

別館に泊まりましたが部屋が広々で景色も最高でした。バイキングは会場はシンプルでしたがお料理は素晴らしかったです。湯もみショーに参加できるのも貴重な体験でした。温泉も広くてアイスやマッサージチェアなど行き届いています。また泊まりたい宿です。

温泉の湯が非常に良かった。広い風呂場も混んでることを感じさせないゆったりした空間で終始気持ちよく入浴できた。また、風呂上がりに備え付けのマッサージチェアを利用したが高機能なチェアで満足だった。

Great stay. I booked a room with open air bath and it came with the access to the executive lounge for afternoon snacks and drinks. Snacks, beers and wine. The snacks there was amazing. Coz I booked two consecutive nites, they gave us access to the exclusive public bath, less ppl and with more privacy. The room was so clean and the staff were excellent. I was impressed by a staff Jaing, she was so helpful and always so enthusiastic and ready to help all the time when I saw her at the reception - check in and check out and when she was working at the executive lounge. The cleaning team was doing an excellent job. All of these made my stay so wonderful.

クラブラウンジがお盆期間ということで昼間からシャンパンもある特別プランで内容も充実していて、とても良かったです。営業が15:00-19:30と短いため、アルコールはなくていいので、他のホテルのようにドリンクサービスなどだけでも翌朝あるとより良いと思われました。部屋も綺麗で広く眺望も爽快でした。建物自体は古く、いたるところに段差があるため、高齢で歩くのがの方は注意が必要です。風呂は特徴がなく、サウナもないのが残念でした。お湯は良かったのです。同様の意見を述べている方が複数いました。スタッフの方の対応も親切で、総合的には満足しており、またいつか泊まりたいと考えております。ありがとうございました。

I would highly recommend this hotel. It is really a nice place, just 5-15 minutes away from the bus stop and Yubatake. This hotel is clean, both the room and the public area, staff are very friendly and welcoming.

今回は久しぶりの温泉を目的とした旅行でした。温泉はもちろん、お風呂場に脱衣所がとても清潔で大満足でした。マッサージチェアもあり、リラックス出来て快適でした。スタッフ皆さんの対応もすごく丁寧で安心できました。また、草津に行く際は利用したいと思います。

Hotel as a whole was clean and well kept, although the decor was rather dated that gave you an ‘80s vibe (in a good way). Dinner buffet was nice and have a decent variety of dishes. I will highly recommend future guests to opt for it. Staff was courteous and professional. Both checking in and checking out was efficient despite being in high season.

全体的に掃除が行き届いており大変満足いたしました。特にお酒やおつまみなどフリーでいただけるラウンジや1日20組限定の浴場などがあり、大浴場は混むのでゆったりとくつろげました。ただ部屋内のお風呂は配管の劣化等の関係上、沸かしでした。せっかく草津に来たので源泉掛け流しに入りたいので次回はお風呂なし部屋にします。

温泉の質がとても良かったが少し料金は高かったかも。部屋の風呂は、温泉出ないと無意味かもしれませんが、錆びてしまうとのことでしたので仕方ないかと思います。バイキング形式の夕食でしたがお客様が非常に多く、ゆっくり出来ない感じでした。部屋がエレベーターの近くでやかましかったが、すぐ部屋を替えてもらいました。お客様対応はよかったです。ありがとうございました。

入口の屋根瓦の修理をしていたので日中は窓が開けられずめちゃくちゃ暑かったのですがすぐに扇風機を持ってきて頂きました。お部屋はとても広く綺麗で過ごしやすかったです。ただ食事会場が遠くてご年配の方にはちょっとしんどいかも？

チェックインの際に案内してくださったホテルマンの方が外国人でした。それ自体には問題なかったのですか、日本語があまり上手ではないようで何をおっしゃっているかよくわかりませんでした。ウェルカムドリンクもチェックイン開始時間の1時間後にはほぼ空の状態でその後補充されることはありませんでした。私はウェルカムドリンクを頂くことができませんでした。また、準備されていたスリッパは穴が空いており、とても最悪なホテルでした。

温泉の質がとても良かったが少し料金は高かったかも。部屋の風呂は、温泉出ないと無意味かもしれませんが、錆びてしまうとのことでしたので仕方ないかと思います。バイキング形式の夕食でしたがお客様が非常に多く、ゆっくり出来ない感じでした。部屋がエレベーターの近くでやかましかったが、すぐ部屋を替えてもらいました。お客様対応はよかったです。ありがとうございました。

Great stay. I booked a room with open air bath and it came with the access to the executive lounge for afternoon snacks and drinks. Snacks, beers and wine. The snacks there was amazing. Coz I booked two consecutive nites, they gave us access to the exclusive public bath, less ppl and with more privacy. The room was so clean and the staff were excellent. I was impressed by a staff Jaing, she was so helpful and always so enthusiastic and ready to help all the time when I saw her at the reception - check in and check out and when she was working at the executive lounge. The cleaning team was doing an excellent job. All of these made my stay so wonderful.

I would highly recommend this hotel. It is really a nice place, just 5-15 minutes away from the bus stop and Yubatake. This hotel is clean, both the room and the public area, staff are very friendly and welcoming.

さすが草津温泉、素晴らしい泉質でした。特に櫻井さんは2種類のお湯が楽しめるのが良かったです。湯畑までは歩くと15分くらいでしたが、坂が多く帰りはきつかったです。ホテルから出ている無料のシャトルバスを使うのがおすすめ。ビュッフェの夕食も種類が多くて大満足でした。

This resort went way above and beyond our expectations. The staff was very friendly and helpful, making us feel very comfortable when explaining how things worked. The buffet, lounge, and free drinks and snacks were wonderful. And the facilities are very clean and very well maintained. The different onsens all have different characteristics and they're all very charming and relaxing 😊 Definitely would recommend to anyone looking for a luxurious relaxing stay!

First, the pictures on expedia or even the hotels website did not do this place justice. This is a gorgeous hotel with lots to do and see. We were checked in by "Lucky" who spoke really great english. He spent about an hour with us checking us in, walking us to our rooms, showing us everything in our rooms and helping with luggage. Both the dinner and breakfast were buffet with lots of options. I think we were the only foreigners there but they did not treat us any different. The shuttle down to the town square is very convenient. We did not use the hot springs but we did use the open air bath in our room which was amazing. The beds were reasonable comfortable. Enjoyed the plethora of amenities and open space in the room.
