Cresta Grande Cape Town

Don't travel with luggage, it's pointless. The lifts are impossible. Staying 3 nights and had to check out mid stay and recheck in zero flexibility. Just very odd and very little in the way of flexibility. Staff were lovely but just some very weird rules.

They had elevator issues that was not good. Everything else was nice. I had a nice room but not all the rooms have nice views. The Staff was exceptional. Location was good.

Great location in the centre, comfortable quiet cool room. The staff are super great. Shout out to the guy in the ground floor cafe and the bar man in the 1st floor bar. Great people.

Great hotel with very friendly staff. Within walking distance of several great restaurants. Free daily voucher to planet fitness which was three blocks away. Overall a nice stay.

Very Nice staff replied and was very helpful arranging my stay before joining my tour group. Staff was equally helpful on arrival. Location is near good dining options. Easy Uber from Airport, V & A waterfront& other attractions. Walkable to Free Walking Tours & more. Everything was clean. Noise from busy intersection was minimal with windows closed. Beds were comfortable Red Elephant Bar on site was convenient. Tour desk also onsite. Too cold to use pool, it looked nice.

The room was spacious and very clean, so was the bathroom. The bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed cocktails in the lounge every evening. A very relaxed atmosphere and the cocktails were amazing. The food was very enjoyable.Food and drinks were for a great price. Big selection at the breakfast buffet. The only things we didn't enjoy was the party noise from the streets until at least 1 am, and the air freshener they seem to puff into the air every few minutes in the lobby area. Waiting there for our friends or else was like torture to our senses.

The biggest problem was the time it took for lifts to arrive for whatever reason.

Das Frühstück hatte eine gute Auswahl, der Frühstücksbereich selbst hatte eine recht unruhige und ungemütliche Atmosphäre. Wir wollten zudem erst nach dem Frühstück den Zimmerservice erhalten. Leider kam dann jedoch gar kein Service mehr an dem Tag. Das Parken im hoteleigenen Parkhaus kostete pro Nacht 3,50 €, das Auto war mitten in der Stadt jedoch sicher untergebracht. Wir wählten das Hotel kurzfristig und aufgrund des vorhandenen Fitnessbereiches. Man hatte von dort aus eine gute Ausgangslage in die Stadt, weiterempfehlen würden wir es aber nicht mehr.

Nice place to stay for a few days. Staff very friendly and helpful. Elevators very clunky but worked. Building quite old but clean.

The view from my corner room was absolutely amazing and the bed was huge and very comfortable. However a lot of the staff were not very friendly, my room was not cleaned properly for the three days I was there and I was supposed to have breakfast included but the staff wouldn’t redeem it - I queried it at the front desk and was told it would be looked into but I never heard from them again! Overall I was a bit disappointed and would say that this hotel is definitely more of a 3 star hotel.

I must commend the staff at this facility, very respectful and full of courtesies. Breakfast was a buffet type. The rooms are nice and clean, including bathroom. I recommend this place. God bless you all.

Everything was old and outdated. Pillows and bed quality was very poor. No mattress covers, sheets failed to cover mattress so you end up sleeping directly on filthy mattress. AC set to only run for a maximum so it turns off while sleeping, and you have to turn it on again 5 times per night. Very low level clientele staying at hotel. Would not return.

I have never seen a carpet as worn out as the one in this hotel

Albert took so much care of our luggage. I forgot my coat in the room and the cleaning department stowed it away safely. Never had I to worry about my belongings. They must just check the soundproof of the rooms - I could hear police sirens all night,.

Large room with nice view

Easy check in, reasonable rates, great staff, breakfast. The best for me was the view of Table Mountain and Lions Head through my 16th floor window

Helpful staff, spacious room and excellent food .

I had an amazing room 1603 with the best views of the mountain and city from both angles. The bed was nice and big and very comfortable. I was not too impressed with the shower, I had to hold it in my hand while showering.

The beds are super comfortable. Carpet needs to be upgraded. Staff is very nice.

The staff and doormen were excellent. For example, a staff member escorted me across the street to use an ATM safely. The breakfast was excellent with many choices and eggs made to order. The location is great in the central area with easy access to the waterfront as well.

Vi havde et fint ophold på CC. Godt værelse med flot udsigt til Table Mountain. Super venligt personale og meget hjælpsomme i restaurant. Morgenmad var ok, uden at være helt i top. God beliggenhed for at gå rundt i byen og opleve Cape Town.

We stayed at the hotel for two nights and had a wonderful experience. The staff were warm, friendly, and very accommodating—especially the dining team at the breakfast buffet. The buffet offered a wide variety of options, and everything was well presented. Our room was spacious and clean, though the bathroom felt a bit outdated and could benefit from some fixture upgrades. On our last night, we noticed water dripping from the ceiling, which we believe was caused by moisture from the centralized air conditioning system. When we reported it, the staff responded immediately and kindly offered to move us to another room. However, since we were already very tired, we decided not to relocate and instead requested extra towels to absorb the water on the floor. One unfortunate incident occurred on our second day when I experienced diarrhea. I’m not certain whether it was caused by the water or something I consumed at breakfast. I suspect it may have been the complimentary bottled water provided daily, as I did not feel ill after breakfast on the first day and did not drink the complimentary water either on our first day. I also don’t believe it was related to dinner at V&A, since my symptoms began around noon the following day rather than later that evening. Still, I can’t say for sure what caused it. Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay. The hotel’s location is excellent and very convenient, and aside from the minor issues mentioned, we had a pleasant and memorable visit.
