The staff was incredible and walked an extra mile to keep us happy. the room and bed linen was dirty so they had to change it, there was no cold water in the shower in both our and other rooms, and the food in the restaurant was sent out, when we received new food it was just as bad but we did not bother to send it out and wait again. Not what we expected at this place and price.

Driving up hotel is very impressive, lovely lawns, boar and deer statues scattered around and 2 wolfhounds guarding entrance Our hotel room and bathroom were massive with lovely views. Food was not available but staff would help you order in from local takeaway restaurants a d would supply crockery and cutlery. Limited menu in evening but was of excellent flavour and presentation. Beautiful lounge to relax in with some information about history of family who had owned it. Staff were very friendly and helpful especially VJ. Would highly recommend a stay here, too many of theses lovely country houses have disappeared.
