Our room was clean and lovely and warm. Free parking directly next to the hotel was great especially as we arrived late in the evening. The receptionist was polite and friendly. Main downside for us was the noise of the motorway as we are light sleepers and our room was at the front but we did eventually get to sleep. Would suggest good ear plugs! The restaurant was still closed when we went but as we had rung ahead we had brought breakfast with us. Would stay again as the price was very reasonable for one night.

The property itself is nicely renovated and staff were friendly. We were however disappointed that the bar was closed for refurbishment and then breakfast wasn’t available as the chef was off sick - surely a continental breakfast could have been an option. None of this was conveyed to us prior to arrival. The hotel is located away from any other amenities so we couldn’t even slip out and get food.

There was no food available which was inconvenient but mainly there was no bar !!! Or rather there was a bar but it wasn’t open. We weren’t made aware of this at the time of booking & it was a massive inconvenience. We were using the hotel as a base to travel far & wide revisiting some of the places we went on honeymoon thirty four years ago as it was our anniversary week. After each day travelling it would have been nice get back to the hotel & relax with a few drinks. As it was we had to settle for buying alcohol locally & having it in our room so as not to drink & drive. Hardly romantic. Our room was a good size & everything was clean & tidy. The location & views leave a little to be desired but the main issue was not to be forewarned that there was no functioning bar. That was unforgivable.

Room was ok. Cleaning not good. No food or drink facilities. Didn't listen to my phone request for a downstairs room due to my disabilities. Wouldn't let me charge car overnight as it is a Rapid charger. Charging a good price but if you go over an hour you are charged an extra £4 - this is wavered if uou are staying at the hotel

The gentleman who checked us in was nice, though it seems he may have been the only member of staff at the hotel as he mentioned working housekeeping duties too? The restaurant was closed for refurbishment so we walked round to the hotel next door for food. The rooms were noisy, we could hear a fellow guest snoring through the wall.

The manager was absolutely lovely explained everything that we needed to know, helped with booking my car in and extended our stay more than once due to having work done at our home. The room was lovely and clean and the house keeper she was lovely and friendly. Would stay again with out a doubt

very disappointing, looks very run down from the outside, photos are obviously from better times. Restaurant shut down and derelict, room clean but basic with lino floor and tiny shower. Only positive was the convenient location from the M5

A perfect hotel, as a base to explore the local area, or if on route to Cornwall. Certainly value for money, and would use again if I needed to. Though there are very little facilities in the local area (Walking Distance) for families, but ideal for somewhere to sleep after days out.

It was spotlessly clean and the owner more than helpful. It is a shame that there is no restaurant on site at present but the meal at the hotel a short walk away was fine.

Very pleasant hotel , rooms clean and comfortable, good service from hotel staff. Only downside, window was ceiling window with blind so no natural light . Unfortunately bar and restaurant not open due to outside company not turning up. Nice pub serving food about a 10 minute walk . Would stay again.

The property itself is nicely renovated and staff were friendly. We were however disappointed that the bar was closed for refurbishment and then breakfast wasn’t available as the chef was off sick - surely a continental breakfast could have been an option. None of this was conveyed to us prior to arrival. The hotel is located away from any other amenities so we couldn’t even slip out and get food.

Our room was really nice - large and spacious with a refurbished bathroom, but there was no food available at all. We did though have a lovely meal at the local pub.

The gentleman who checked us in was nice, though it seems he may have been the only member of staff at the hotel as he mentioned working housekeeping duties too? The restaurant was closed for refurbishment so we walked round to the hotel next door for food. The rooms were noisy, we could hear a fellow guest snoring through the wall.

There was no food available which was inconvenient but mainly there was no bar !!! Or rather there was a bar but it wasn’t open. We weren’t made aware of this at the time of booking & it was a massive inconvenience. We were using the hotel as a base to travel far & wide revisiting some of the places we went on honeymoon thirty four years ago as it was our anniversary week. After each day travelling it would have been nice get back to the hotel & relax with a few drinks. As it was we had to settle for buying alcohol locally & having it in our room so as not to drink & drive. Hardly romantic. Our room was a good size & everything was clean & tidy. The location & views leave a little to be desired but the main issue was not to be forewarned that there was no functioning bar. That was unforgivable.
