The hotel is older and obviously struggling. The carpets throughout the hotel (halls, room) is full of spots and bumpy to walk on. The ceiling panels on second floor look like they might be coming down. There is no breakfast, while that was part of the offer and swimming pool is empty. Was excited to be using the (small) fitness room, however it only contained a couple of weight machines, no treadmill or bike as I had hoped. Most importantly, the bed was not very comfortable: I finally slept the fourth night because I was so exhausted. What saved the experience is the lower price (comparatively), the coffee downstairs is good, the room was exceptionally clean and the staff is very helpful and friendly. But there is only so much staff can do; at some point management actually have to do some serious upkeep to improve the experience.

Overall it was fine for my needs and a quick stay. Pros: Room was clean. Staff was nice. Cons: The exterior door at the back of the hotel nearest my room was broken. This was mirrored in the two non-electronic security locks on the interior of my door both being broken as well. The fridge didn't work, the curtain rod was coming off on the left side. The "seasonal" pool was completely drained despite the weather being very hot in mid-september as expected No breakfast or even coffee provided.

The entry doors were broken except the lobby entrance and one other side entrance. There was no refrigerator, microwave, or blow dryer. The staff was nice. Other than that a poor experience.

Room and bathroom are very spacious, well-maintained, updated, upgraded. For guests interested in the fitness room, there was no cardio machine and weight-lifting equipment could be improved. Also wish there was a guest laundry.

This hotel misrepresented itself 1. The back door was broken and often left propped open making for an unsafe environment 2. The room smelled like someone had smoked a pack of Camels in the room I had to request a new room 3. The new room was barely passable. There were lights that did not work, couldn’t take a bath because there was no stopper, the bed was uncomfortable and the pillows were unbearable 4. A guest on the neighboring room ranted and railed into the wee hours of the morning and the front desk never picked up the phone when we called 5. Older, interior corridor hotel. Side door they had us enter was about the worst hotel entry I’ve seen. Room was ok. TV didn’t work until we had them come and fiddle with it. View out the window was of an empty pool with weeds growing everywhere.

The room was very disgusting. The mattress itself was dirty from previous people. The room has holes in the walls with broken towel racks. Stains all over the carpets and walls. Will not be staying here again.

the pictures are NOT at all what this hotel looks like, at least in our room, the carpet is filthy and so dated, we had no shower curtain in our bathroom, the hallways and stairwells filthy. the cost was affordable but as the saying goes " you get what you pay for"

Very dirty bedsheets. Requested twice to change, took pics but no one bothered to come to change! Rooms have a filthy smell and if you are non smoker, it’s hard to breath in with doors closed

The mattresses are beyond needing replaced - they are hard as rocks and you can feel the springs - so bad we had to bring in our camp sleeping pads and put them on the bed to sleep :( Everything else good - very basic property but that is what we expected...

This place has the potential to be amazing. The room was VERY spacious and had plenty of seating areas. If renovation and proper housekeeping (along with staff attitudes) took place, this would be worth staying at again. The check in process was easy but the guy was very stern and lied to us about entry into the building. We arrived after 10, and was given a choice for a room without a TV or without a mirror, because all the good rooms were sold to those that arrived earlier. We drove to the back of the building where our room was located and could not get into any of the entry doors. We had to walk on the outside to the front of the building to get in. The linens were clean, but there were nail clippings on the floor, food in the fridge and toilet paper roll and trash behind the bathroom door. The sink faucet was floppy and dripped water all over the counter. Our socks were filthy from walking on the dirty carpet. The bed is hard as a rock. There is no bedbug protector on the mattress and the mattress itself was incredibly gross and aged. I do not plan to stay here again, as you get what you paid for. There was a reason that it was the only affordable hotel in town during the balloon fiesta.

The room and shower were clean. The bed was not uncomfortable but also not great. Our single bed room did not have a chair, fridge or microwave. Also despite having so many rooms and not many cars in the parking lot, we had neighbors and you could hear through the walls.

The clerk was so accommodating, i reserved a room and failed to double check the date, so of course it was in the future, we haf been traveling 14 hrs and were exhausted He searched until he found a room for us, bc they were booked.I definitely recommend this hotel and will book with them again if in area.The clerk was AMAZING

The cleaning staff did a good job, but that’s is where it ends. The hotel is VERY rundown. There is no microwave or refrigerator in the room and the TV doesn't work. In addition, there are three doors to come in and out and one of them was completely broken, which means if you have a room on the far side of the hotel- you have a long hike to your room. This is an issue when dragging your luggage to your room. The front attendant wasn’t friendly. I asked about the TV in our room and he said there was nothing that could be done. He didn't apologize just dismissed me. Finally, we went hiking and came back at 11:20 am. We tried to get into our room and it was locked. My husband went back to the front desk and they said they locked our room because it was after the check out time. He claimed it was 11 am. The back of the door in the room said check out was 12 pm. So, if your going to change the check out time your need to tell your guests and update the back of the door to contain the correct info. The attendant that morning did let us check out, but the process was a pain. I would not stay there again. Do yourself a favor and stay else where.

really awful!! checked in and wasnt comfortsble with all the homeless around so unloaded all stuff into a dirty room was tired and just wanted tv didnt work. called desk and [ ELOY] came right over to fix !! he saw the room and immediately asked if he could move me cause of condition!! we did it worked but awful place. I need to say Eloy at desk was amazing from start to finish!!!! cant say enough of how helpfull and efficient he is/was. ty Eloy. I think he saved the day and sad hes in such a run down ;ugly place ?? he needs to be in a much higher end facility where he can make more money and be appreciated !! his service needs to be in a better place for sure!!

Every time I left my hotel room, the room key would stop working. I was holding it too close to my phone each time this happened. That is certainly my fault! But get this: I had to return to the front desk 4 times for this reason. I understand that it happened because I was holding the card too close to my phone, but the way the man behind the desk addressed me was the problem. For context, I am a young woman traveling alone across the country. Not only would he stand in the doorway of my room after unlocking it, not allowing me in, he was also repeatedly telling me to “relax” and “chill out,” while simultaneously raising his voice at me. Not a particularly self-aware individual. The next day, which was the fourth time I was locked out of my room, I waited in the vacant lobby, calling them from my own phone with no one there coming to answer it. I had to find a staff only door to knock on to be acknowledged. The same man from the night before suddenly appeared, immediately shouting at me for disturbing him. Then I started matching his volume and he was furious, which in turn required two other staff to calm him down. Just pathetic. To the credit of the other staff, they were so embarrassed of him that I was fully refunded. When I returned to my room to pack up my belongings and leave early, my door stood open and unattended. Creepy and disgusting.

Check in was easy. Only spent 6 hours there to sleep. The light in the shower room didn’t work but the warmer light did and was bright enough. The shower pressure was excellent.The bed was comfortable. My only big complaint is that there are some sketchy people out on the street that night I was there. My car even captured one of them trying to open my car door. It could just the area that this property is located. I wouldn’t come back and would try another place in town for the same price.

The area that this hotel was in was scary. Alot of homeless people walking around. When we drove in the parking lot, there was 4 sketchy persons in the parking area. Look like gang members. One person was doing drugs next to the door by the entrance. The hotel was okay. Needs work. The swimming pool in the center of the hotel was empty, except for a foot of dirty water at the bottom. We almost didn't stay there, however we were tired and needed sleep from the long drive. I did not sleep well because I was worried someone would break into my car. They have coffee only in the morning in the reception area. The receptionist was nice. The place didnt have many staying there. I would not recommend this place for the money we spent was not worth the value we recieved.

We just needed a room after arriving late in ABQ and wanting to gain some time by driving north to sleep then continue to Taos. So as a room to crash with all the needed amenities and conveniently located off the freeway, it served its purpose however as a “vacation spot “ I would not recommend.!

I suggest this hotel if you want something clean, reasonably priced, but not fancy. right next to meowolf, Chinese restaurant next door was fantastic and there were a lot of New Mexican restaurants nearby. Service was great.

Everything was great, except for only getting one wash cloth for the 3 of us and only one large towel. It was easily fixed by asking housekeeping for more. Some sites say there is free breakfast, but never saw that, if there was. Parking can be an issue if you come back to the hotel late on the weekends because the Chinese restaurant turns into a club late night. Overall it was a great stay

Their towels were much closer to rags than towels. The property needed maintenance for upkeep, but they did not seem to care. A basic breakfast would have been nice. The owner, an elderly man, lacked good manners. He could have been a bit friendlier.

The room and halls were clean, the staff was very nice. The hotel was easy to find, close to highways. Would have liked to have had a breakfast, but this was a small hotel and didn't have the room. We went the 4th of July weekend. A lot of restaurants were not open for breakfast, and closed at 9pm.

Spent 1 night in Santa Fe during a NM road trip. Room was comfortable & the Chinese restaurant next door was really good. Only downside was when the room upstairs started stomping around at about 3AM... I guess they were leaving early? The price was right & the area was OK. I'd probably stay there again.
