The staff were all incredibly friendly. I spend a few days in Portage each year, this time of year, with my nieces and nephews of my brother who passed away. We've been going to another hotel - but this one had a much more comfortable space, was cleaner and convenient to lots of dining options. The pool area was nice and clean. The workout facility was perfect and had a peaceful view. There was space in the lobby for us to play boardgames. Will be coming back for sure.

Very nice hotel. Friendly staff. My only complaint is that the hotel does not keep the coffee warm and ready for their guests. Most hotels have coffee always available in their lobby. This hotel does not. Many guests complained about that. Please keep coffee ready. Pool & hot tub were nice. Decent breakfast. Friendly staff.

The room, lobby, and pool were all extremely clean. The staff was phenomenal. The bartender was warm, polite, and went above and beyond. We ordered a few drinks, he did a great job. We swam in the pool later in the evening and the bartender noticed us, and brought my small daughter out a brownie, just because. It absolutely made her night and made her fell very special. Can’t recommend any higher.

What a beautiful property. Don't skip the hot tub or pool, Wonderful. Even using the treadmill was like walking in the woods. Floor to ceiling windows looking out to nature and a lovely pond with a fountain. Clean and spacious rooms. Plan on this stay.

The room was very spacious and modern. Lots of USB plugs for all of our family's devices. Pool, hot tub, breakfast all on par with other similar properties. Really liked that there are 4 electric vehicle charging stations at this property although you do have to pay for your usage.

We had a bit of a long wait at check-in about 7 o’clock in the evening. When our room was cleaned, the washcloths were not replenished however, the staff was all very friendly, and for the most part, the property was extremely clean. The rooms are very nice however, there was quite the aroma of marijuana being smoked.

The staff was beyond friendly, respectful and professional. Everything was clean and orderly. We had an issue with the tv/remote (yes, I needed it; was alone with three small children) and the front desk and maintenance crew were right on resolving the problem.

Just about everything about this hotel was excellent. One complaint was that the air conditioning in the room was inconsistent. We would go from being blasted by air to sweating with the room on Auto at 72. Also, they would benefit from having 2 carafes of regular coffee at breakfast since it seemed like it ran out quickly, but we were never waiting too long for a refill. Other than that, it was a wonderful stay! Clean, lots of space, friendly staff, great pool, and great breakfast. As a bonus, we were thrilled that they had both oat milk and a gluten-free, dairy-free muffin for our allergy kiddo to enjoy!

Our room was facing the highway, so the noise was considerable. Aside from that, staff were excellent and everything was clean and fresh. Pool was nice. I would definitely stay again the next time a visit to Kalamazoo deems necessary!

Tv did not work, I notified front desk. Suggested I unplug and plug back in. Was going out for several hours and notified desk that the tv still was not working and please check before I came back. Arrived back about 4 hours later- tv did not work- no note and no notification on my return.

Beautiful clean room, but the worst check in I've ever experienced. The attendant was slow, didn't greet me, had a bad attitude and was banging on the keyboard. I've never seen anything like it in a hospitality setting. Will definitely try someplace else next time because I didn't feel welcome at all.

Breakfast was poor. I only had scrambled eggs, but no meat other than sausage gravy was a terrible option. No veggies. Fruit and bread options were available as well as make your own waffle. Drinks were good in coffee, tea, milk or juice. Boxed yogurt is ok as well.

Overall it was a great stay. I requested and was given a room at the rear of the hotel which was away from the traffic noise. The breakfast was good with several options. Although it was quite cool in the breakfast area.
