We didn't stay at this hotel because we were lead to believe that parking was included but it was only for two hours then car had to be moved to paying car park then moved again at 6pm till 8am. Husband has difficulty walking so it wasn't convenient.

Room was clean but carpet bady stained and lots of mould on ceiling in shower. Reception was very cluttered but staff pleasant. Breakfast ok. Disc parking. Luckily we arrived at 4.30 pm otherwise disc would have expired and we would have had to find alternate parking. Would not stay here again.

Welcoming and friendly staff. Relaxed atmosphere. Good breakfasts (But no yogurts selections). Room was good enough for what I needed. But, there is a bright LED street light outside the window that on all night. Makes it difficult to blackout the room, even with the blinds. Parking is an issue due to no hotel parking. All local parking is either P&D or two-hour hours free on issued paper parking timers. 8am to 6pm. Unless you find a free residential parking area around a 15-20 min walk away. Overall, the stay was a good value for money trip.

Generally very good stay. Landlady made me feel at home and lent me a parking disc which gave me free parking until 10.00am the next morning. Very nice cooked breakfast with cereal and proper coffee. Only small issue was that the curtains let in more street lamp light than I'm used to. Blackout curtains would have been ideal.

Room was dated, but clean. Light above sink didn’t work and wasn’t repaired when asked. Staff were very friendly and there was a good atmosphere in the evenings. Breakfast was delicious, with a choice of cereals too. Would stay again. Dog friendly.

A lovely stay, we were made very welcome. Our breakfast was cooked well and the staff seemed very nice. Sadly our bedroom floor hadn't been hoovered and the bathrooms were nosey when we switched the lights on.

Great location very central, room was big and comfortable there were a few things but with an old building I suppose that's normal. Loads of stairs to room and the shower ran hot and cold but overall a great place. I have to say the breakfast was lovely sitting in the window seat looking over hills and Richmond Castle.

The place looks nice from the outside but inside very dated, staff nice, breakfast nice bedroom very poor shower very poor I think still in the 80s, bed was OK, walls stairs and doors need renovating very poor or even a lick of paint.

A good stay , room was clean and comfortable with excellent breakfast. Service was excellent with very friendly staff. Unfortunately didn’t do evening meals but sister hotel nearby was very good for an evening meal

Welcoming and friendly staff. Relaxed atmosphere. Good breakfasts (But no yogurts selections). Room was good enough for what I needed. But, there is a bright LED street light outside the window that on all night. Makes it difficult to blackout the room, even with the blinds. Parking is an issue due to no hotel parking. All local parking is either P&D or two-hour hours free on issued paper parking timers. 8am to 6pm. Unless you find a free residential parking area around a 15-20 min walk away. Overall, the stay was a good value for money trip.

Generally very good stay. Landlady made me feel at home and lent me a parking disc which gave me free parking until 10.00am the next morning. Very nice cooked breakfast with cereal and proper coffee. Only small issue was that the curtains let in more street lamp light than I'm used to. Blackout curtains would have been ideal.

The room although ok could really do with some improvements. We suggested most of them to the B&B when we last stayed in the same room 2 years ago and there has been a decline in standards since then rather than the other way around. The pub has also stopped serving food after breakfast which was a massive disappointment. Despite great location, I cannot see us booking here again. If the owners would like some specific pointers we would be happy to help. We didn't discuss with them as they had a very busy weekend planning and running some lovely functions.

I have stayed here a number of times and have loved it every time. The staff are so welcoming and friendly, the inn's location is perfect and breakfast is delicious. A perfect place for a little getaway.

Great location, some decor a bit ‘tired’ but nice room with updated en- suite. Really good value for money, good breakfast and they put my bike inside overnight. Wi - fi in the room not good enough to watch streaming sport so I went to another pub to watch athletics online. Quiet location.

Really nice place, could do with a little update, especially the garden. I would say it’s a little rustic, but we had a lovely night away. Breakfast was good. Staff were lovely.

The bedroom wasn’t very clean. Bathroom was in need of a refurb, smelly. Carpet in the bedroom needed cleaning. The breakfast was good and the bar brilliant. The two staff which ran the Buck Inn were okay.
