The Foresters Arms

Rooms are very tired and cramped. Saniflo system very noisy. No power to lights or saniflo when we got up in the morning so started showering by phone light then realised saniflo not working and nearly flooded the bathroom. Not the greatest experience. Nobody about to voice our issues. Luckily a friend had booked a room across the landing which had power so at least my wife could have one

Room was tired and need refresh, cracked decor. Beds were clean. Light pollution from garden into room, lack of decent curtains. No breakfast during weekdays, did not bother with weekend. Noisy environment from pub and landlord’s flat next to room. Would not recommend.

I have been trying very hard to ger hotels .com complaints dept. Firstly I never got to the hotel because it was listed under Grassington Hotels north Yorkshire, When I arrived at the Grassington Forresters arms they had no record of my booking. I checked my booking reference and it turned our to be Forresters arms in Cheshire. Why was the Forresters arms cheshire listed in Grassington b&bs. Very misleading. Secondly I rang the hotel no listed for Farmers arms Cheshire to cancel the booking. I rang several times and was cut off each time. So it appears that I have lost my money. I think I do deserve some form of compensation as your listings were faulty and how on earth can you cancel a reservation when the hotel concerned do not answer their phone. I have never booked with an online hotel company before and I never will again. My reservation no was 984 -946-042. I have filled in this box but I reckon that it is unlikely that you will be polite enough to respond.

When we got there it turned out it was wrong hotel in grassington it was for the same hotel but in Cheshire. Same photo on advert just different area , staff there said it happens a lot. Very disappointed that this happens on a daily basis. This also happend to two of our friends who stayed here on same day and they ended up paying extra 100.00 for another room . We ended up going home wasn't paying any more than we already did for one night. Highly disappointing that this happens regularly and nothing gets done about it.
