If I can suggest to ignore any other negative comments / review regarding this property. Upon booking my stay, reading the other reviews I was alittle aprehensive. I should not have been. Great car park on the side of the property, which was free. Lovely bar and restaurant and I received a very friendly welcome in. Even some of the locals in the bar gave me a friendly smile and nod. The room was very clean, modern and well portioned. Nice little fridge with a cold bottle of water in. The room even had a dyson fan in to keep air circulating and cooled the room. Bed was so so comfy, memory foam mattress and nice crisp lined sheets. Shower / toilet area large and clean, lovely powerful shower ! The area is very quiet, but just as required for a nice evening stay. I went down for a lite bite and a couple of beers, lovely beer garden in the back which was well maintained and also had a covered area. Breakfast in the morning, freshly cooked, very nice local supplies used. 10/10 stay, great value for money, Keep up the great work, a pleasure to stay.

There is easy parking. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. There was a good choice of food - the monkfish wrapped in Parma ham was delicious. Breakfast was also good and the coffee was excellent. It was very warm when I visited and the fan in the room was a welcome addition.

Great stay for a family four - breakfast was excellent and the space in the bedroom was great - separate room with bunk beds and a single bed, with a living room and full double in. Only problem was the heat but not a lot anyone could do about that!

Yeah, a really nice country pub. Met up with my daughter there for a night as was in the middle of us. Really friendly staff, and welcoming locals. Dogs allowed in bedrooms. Very comfy bed. Lovely dinner. Nice dog walk across the road. She left too early for breakfast and I got up too late but am sure it would have been lovely!

We stayed in the Monument room which affords a view of the Wellington Monument (if you know where to look) - it's a spacious suite with quality furniture and fittings. Breakfast was excellent. The vegetarian option includes "sausages" but these were not the fake meat type but more like vegetable croquettes which we thought were much nicer. All the other items were cooked beautifully.
