Gave us a friendly and enjoyable stopover for our onward journey to Cornwall. Food was lovely and breakfast included was very nice. Dog friendly with a nice walk across the road through surrounding fields. A lovely setting and would recommend if you’re wanting to break a longer journey up or looking for a weekend stop with your dog.

Great country pub with rooms. Pub garden where we could eat with our dog. Food was wonderful. Room was comfortable with kettle,fridge and tea /coffee. Breakfast was better than many branded hotels we've stayed at. Also a shout out for the staff. Friendly, attentive - all you could ask for. Would definitely stay again.

Room was excellent, nice bed and bed linen, extremely clean and warm - provided everything you might need in way of tea/coffee making facilities and fridge. Excellent TV with all the stations. Stay included breakfast, we only had the continental as had an early departure but hot breakfast was also available. Would highly recommend.

The room I stayed in was "The nest". Should be called "The best"! It's a lovely room in fact a home from home. My job means I stay away 10-15 nights per month and this stop was one of the best this year. The decor and furnish was clean and contempory, I felt like I was in a lounge nitba hotel. Loads of plug sockets vital for business travelers. Proper tea, coffee, sugar jars not sachets. The bathroom had full size toiletries not tiny unreadable micro bottles or wall mounted dispensers.

Lovely bedroom with an adjoining living room, so plenty of space. There was also a fridge and kitchen sink, but no microwave. (Odd). Our negative was that the bedroom wasn't dark enough, could have done with a curtain on the side window.
