The location was perfect, the view, the peaceful setting and within walking distance of an excellent pub. The king size bed was very comfortable, and to wake up with a morning cuppa watching the sea was such a treat. It was also good to have the secure off road parking. We really appreciated the milk and the bottle of wine that we found on arrival.

The location of this place is unbeatable, with a magnificent view from the bedroom and garden. The cottage was very well equipped and it was great to have your own parking space and locked gates. Lovely to be able to sit in the wonderful garden for all our meals and evening drinks looking out to the changing coastal landscape. Few minutes walk to pub, cafe, shop and pizza takeaway, restaurant. Great coastal walks from location and a short drive away. Porlock itself less than 10 mins drive away. Perfect for a couple. Everyone we dealt with on booking and during our stay was very welcoming and helpful. Would definitely recommend to friends/family.

Such a beautiful little cottage. The view from the open balcony doors in the bedroom was breathtaking. Spotless and homely. Only minor thing is there’s no washing machine. It was ok for us with only staying 3 days but might be an issue for others staying longer.

Great views from bedroom and garden. Garden furniture welcome. Well equipped. The parking area is a little tight so if you have an estate or larger car would advise checking with rental company for advice. We had a Mokka and it was fine.

Peace and tranquility. Beautiful sunrise views from the bedroom. Never heard the occupants next door even though the Coach House is adjoining. Cosy wood burner for the chilly nights. There was no interaction with the owners at all during the four nights we stayed which was just out of season so everywhere was quiet. Shame the local chip shop was closed would have liked to have tried it. It was opening the day we left. Great area for walkers. Cottage contained everything we needed ideal for a few nights of peace.

Opening the curtains to reveal the panorama across the sea towards Wales was amazing, a pity we couldn't take advantage and open the doors of the juliet balcony....too cold! Lovely to cosy down in the evenings with the wood burner blazing. Glorious walks on Exmoor.\r A little investigation revealed all information required and yes, the oven is a little difficult initially. A steel is provided for sharpening knives. Otherwise all mod cons.

A really lovely cottage with amazing views across Porlock Bay. Cosy downstairs area with fireplace and a clean and well equipped kitchenette. Upstairs a big comfy bed with the best views to wake up to! Good bathroom too. Location is very peaceful and quiet.

The appartment was lovely and clean. The view from the bedroom window was breathtaking. Also a lovely touch a bottle of wine on your arrival. We would definitely recommend this holiday, so much too see and do.

The view was absolutely stunning and perfectly placed to visit the moors The kitchen was well equipped and the bedroom and bathroom were of hotel quality Short walk from a very nice pub serving breakfast, lunch and dinner We visited in March over a very cold snap and the place was wonderfully warm, the under floor heating was a treat We would definitely return just to look at the amazing view

We had an amazing stay! The Stable Block has perfect facilities and comfy sofa and bed. Our dog loved it too and had plenty of space. The driveway is tight, but totally manageable as we had a big car and fitted in. Really great location for beach walks. Would recommend a visit to Lynton and Minehead!! We visited The Ship Inn at Porlock Weir, only a short walk from the house. Amazing food and friendly staff!

This was a great place to stay. Very clean, very cosy, great location. Great views from the cottage. Only a five minute walk to the beach, and the pubs. Nice coffee shop which sells the best lemon cake I have ever tasted.

Really enjoyed our stay at the Stable Block. Stunning views of the coastline from the terrace and bedroom. Well appointed Luxury bedroom with quality bed and Juliette balcony was a stand out feature. The kitchen/ living area had Everything you needed. We liked the comfy reclining sofa. Finally the lovely enclosed garden and terrace was perfect for us and the security our dog.

Very disappointing, lovely venue, but not comfortable, the sofa was uncomfortable your bottom disappeared into a hole and immediately hurt your back, could not use, had to sit on dining chairs all week which were so hard and very wobbly, need urgent attention, the duvet was so short on the bed, had to go 3ft down the bed to just get covered, mattress was not comfortable, the net curtains in the bedroom were yellow from staining. The heating could not be overridden so we we were really cold all week, only enough logs for one evening, the shower slider was very loose and the bath was taped because it had a crack the TV in the bed was useless, could not change the volume or channel no matter what you did, all very dated. overall its not about customers comfort. We came home early as we could not stand it a minute longer.

The stable block is amazingly cozy and functional! It's a great place to stay with a magnificent sea view. It is also an excellent starting point for walks in Exmoor. I definitely recommended it and would love to go back.

We had a lovely stay in the stable block, people were on hand to help with any problems that arose and these were quickly dealt with. Easy walking distance to dog friendly pub with excellent food.the garden was lovely to sit in, so peaceful with stunning views. Very comfortable bed

We had great breakfasts at The Porlock Weir Hotel, and great lunches/dinners from The Bottom Ship and Ziangs. Good location to travel to Minehead/Steam Railway and Dunster Castle and Village. Oh the peace and the view from our bed. We awoke each day to birdsong. The view was perfect and at this time of year framed by beautiful magnolias. Great to be able to walk to the pub for supper and to stroll off to coastal walks during the day.

Wow. What a find! We absolutely loved our stay and will definitely be returning to the Stables. I really enjoyed drinking my morning tea in bed watching the sea out the bedroom balcony doors! It was incredibly relaxing. The pub, cafe and beach are just a short walk down the hill (and all great). The coastal path runs along the beach at the bottom of the hill too and we walked in both directions which were really different to each other. We loved it! A lovely autumn coastal break and the Stables was perfect. We've already been recommending this place to friends and we will be coming back!
Wow. What a find! We absolutely loved our stay and will definitely be returning to the Stables. I really enjoyed drinking my morning tea in bed watching the sea out the bedroom balcony doors! It was incredibly relaxing. The pub, cafe and beach are just a short walk down the hill (and all great). The coastal path runs along the beach at the bottom of the hill too and we walked in both directions which were really different to each other. We loved it! A lovely autumn coastal break and the Stables was perfect. We've already been recommending this place to friends and we will be coming back!

The location of this place is unbeatable, with a magnificent view from the bedroom and garden. The cottage was very well equipped and it was great to have your own parking space and locked gates. Lovely to be able to sit in the wonderful garden for all our meals and evening drinks looking out to the changing coastal landscape. Few minutes walk to pub, cafe, shop and pizza takeaway, restaurant. Great coastal walks from location and a short drive away. Porlock itself less than 10 mins drive away. Perfect for a couple. Everyone we dealt with on booking and during our stay was very welcoming and helpful. Would definitely recommend to friends/family.

Porlock Weir is a wonderful place to visit, and this property offers a fantastic and uniterrupted view of the sea. The Weir itself has so much to offer, and the local eateries are exceptional. We had great breakfasts at The Porlock Weir Hotel, and great lunches/dinners from The Bottom Ship and Ziangs. Good location to travel to Minehead/Steam Railway and Dunster Castle and Village. Relaxing week.

Beautiful location with amazing views from the bedroom. The cottage was well equipped with cleaning products, tea towell etc. The bottle of wine was a real treat and even a pint of fresh milk in the fridge for a cuppa on arrival. Short walk to pub and ideal base to explore.

The location was perfect, the view, the peaceful setting and within walking distance of an excellent pub. The king size bed was very comfortable, and to wake up with a morning cuppa watching the sea was such a treat. It was also good to have the secure off road parking. We really appreciated the milk and the bottle of wine that we found on arrival.

We had a lovely stay in the stable block, people were on hand to help with any problems that arose and these were quickly dealt with. Easy walking distance to dog friendly pub with excellent food.the garden was lovely to sit in, so peaceful with stunning views. Very comfortable bed

We had an amazing stay! The Stable Block has perfect facilities and comfy sofa and bed. Our dog loved it too and had plenty of space. The driveway is tight, but totally manageable as we had a big car and fitted in. Really great location for beach walks. Would recommend a visit to Lynton and Minehead!! We visited The Ship Inn at Porlock Weir, only a short walk from the house. Amazing food and friendly staff!

This was a great place to stay. Very clean, very cosy, great location. Great views from the cottage. Only a five minute walk to the beach, and the pubs. Nice coffee shop which sells the best lemon cake I have ever tasted.

Lovely accommodation for couples break away. underfloor heating kept property toasty warm. Most shops in Porlock Weir seem to be closed now and don’t look to be opening , not much choice for eating out and the ones that are open not much cop so I would recommend taking plenty of provisions .
