We stayed for 2 nights and were very impressed with the overall look of the place but we had booked a suite which the room was not as en-suite was like a broom cupboard. Breakfasts were fantastic and coffe excellent but need to offer other meals such as dinner or afternoon teas which could be quite lucrative for them. Wal was always there for you and offered us one of their fans as hot during our stay and this was very much appreciated by my wife and I. Would book again no problem.

We're used to staying in more corporate hotels, so found the personal service a little overwhelming. Our room was very nicely decorated and the bed extremely comfortable. We stayed though during a very hot spell and the room was stiflingly hot with the windows unable to be opened more than a few inches. We weren't offered a fan, so maybe we should have asked as we didn't sleep very well due to the heat. We found breakfast interesting- we had to pre order the night before, which we don't like to do and were surprised to find the menu was totally vegetarian. Despite pre ordering, we still had to wait 30mins for our hot breakfast to arrive but all in all it was good quality, although we're not sure what happened to the wholemeal sourdough that we ordered as it was just white toast that arrived. There were lots of breakfast choices, with many different teas and the fresh fruit was exceptional. Nothing really wrong with our stay except the room as mentioned above. A different experience to what we're used to and unsure if it suited us.
