The Lighthouse is excellent for a one-night stay-over before or after a Keflavik flight. It is about 14 minutes by car to the airport. It is in a very quiet area at the end of the Gardur peninsula. If the hotel restaurant is fully booked, as it was when we stayed, there is another within walking distance (wild and windy weather notwithstanding) - the Rostin. Unfortunately, it closes at 8 so if you're arriving later be sure to have a hotel restaurant reservation. There is nothing else for miles.

Liked the lighthouse and coastal views! The restaurant here is permanently closed. Beverages are available as well as breakfast but no nightly meal service. Friendly staff and clean facilities.

A good spot for a long layover. Close to the airport and some attractions. Be sure to make a reservation for dinner if arriving late. Comfortable beds and clean bathroom. Also had a nice gathering area for our large group to relax together to plan the next days events.

Check-in was easy and the room was large and spacious. The breakfast was easy and convenient and coffee was available in the lobby 24/7. The only negative I have is that it was not advised to made reservations at the restaurant and when we arrived they would not take us but luckily there was one restaurant open in the next town over.

Quite nice stay! Front desk receptionist was warm and welcoming. Good breakfast buffet. Rooms have good size and cleaning was great. Comfy bed. The kettle was a good addition. Plus, if necessary, you can use use the microwave on the common area. Great shower. Also a good place to try to see the Aurora.

Very convenient location only 15 mins away from KEF airport especially as we had an extremely early departure flight. Also our check in time was much earlier than the listed time and the hotel allowed us early check in which we were very grateful for after a long flight over to Iceland. There is a restaurant on site with amazing food so you don’t have to go very far for dinner.

Had the perfect stay at the Lighthouse Inn, as a family of three we were checked in by a lovely lady who was so helpful. The hotel was easy to find, plenty of parking and in a great location for the Northern Lights. Our room was spacious, warm, well equipped and very clean. We left too early to have breakfast but reception kindly provided us with a packed lunch. I highly recommend staying at this lovely hotel and to enjoy the beautiful church, old houses and the lighthouse, they all make the perfect photo especially if the Northern Lights are on display.

Really nice hotel and in a great location, and nice breakfast, friendly staff, so unfortunate that there were some kind of bugs in all of the beds. 1 person was bitten badly.

This property is located conveniently near Keflavik airport, yet the location is very quiet and near the ocean. The property is fairly new and the room, bathroom, and general areas are very clean. Check in was easy, and the gentleman that checked us in was very friendly and courteous - even at 3:00 am! Breakfast was great. It offered hot and cold options. We had a short layover before heading back to the US, and the area offered an opportunity for some nice walks to the lighthouse and a nearby museum. I would definitely stay here again, and I recommend the Lighthouse Inn for a stay in Iceland.

Clean & spacious room. Instant coffee available in room and lobby. Very friendly staff, helped arrange a taxi for us to the airport. Lighthouse Inn restaurant nearby, food was great. Only downside of our stay was that the room was very warm/unable to adjust temp or get any airflow, and we were unable to sleep.

I think Lighthouse Inn is probably the best hotel we stayed at during our 11 days trip around the whole perimeter of Iceland. It's solid, new, warm. The rooms are wide and very well furnished, the bathroom large and confortable. The windows are soundproof with a view on a meadow with horses. The staff is gentle and nice, breakfast offers a wide choice of food and at the restaurant we had a very good supper. For me Lighthouse Inn is nr. 1!

Dåliga sängar. De var hårda och rangliga. Kändes mer som extra sängar. Rummen var väldigt lyhörda och man hörde allt såsom gnissliga dörrar och maskinljud. Väldigt mycket matos i lobby och bar. Otrevlig kvarstående doft i kläderna.

L'hôtel est dans une zone tranquille, près d'un phare, l'océan, et assez proche de l'aéroport, environ 10-15 min en voiture, pratique quand on atterrit très tard, avec accueil ouverte la nuit. On a pris une chambre familiale, très grande pour 4, un coin salon canapé et fauteuil séparait le lit parent des 2 lits simples. Très propre placards, grande salle de bains (douche). Déco scandinave chaleureuse. Petit déjeuner correct efficace qui propose un peu de tout , céréales, petites viennoiseries, crudités, yaourt, pain, fromage, charcuterie, fruits. C'est la deuxième fois qu'on vient en Islande. On avait déjà pris cet hôtel en arrivant la 1ère fois et nous voulions absolument le refaire. C'est un de nos hôtels préféré !

The staff was able to get us into our room extra early and the view was amazing - two lighthouses and the ocean! The lighthouses and the beach were a very easy walk from the inn. They were able to give us a breakfast to go when we had to leave before the breakfast was served. The room was lovely - wood finishes - and the bathroom was really great. The staff was friendly and helpful. A lovely visit.

I'll never forget this - simply great front door, restaurant staff - Lighthouse Inn is simply the best and its the people who work here that make it one of a kind. Tell me where in the world people take this extra step to HELP. Lighthouse Inn 10/10 - forever grateful to YOU!

I accidentally booked the wrong dates due to a near-midnight flight. When we arrived, the hotel was fully booked, but an off-duty staff member went above and beyond to help us. They found a spare room so we could sleep and wash up for the night. They were also concerned we might get the dates wrong for other hotels we had for the rest of the trip. That's when I know they truly cared for guests. The room's furnishings were top-notch, with an all-wood design that felt like a cozy ski cabin. Very good sound proofing. Breakfast was homely and fabulous. Truly grateful for their kindness and quick thinking. Saved our trip! Would totally recommend this unique place

We were disappointed that the local museum was closed with no reason given, and we were more disappointed that, even though we asked the front desk to alert us about the Northern Lights, they did not — we missed what other guests said was a great display. Stayed one night prior to flying out. Great location very near airport but quiet, very secluded. Beautiful view of lighthouse and ocean. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff was pleasant and welcoming. We left too early to try the breakfast (wish it opened before 0730) but they supplied a take away breakfast of sandwiches and fruit. Because it is near airport there was some noise very early of people leaving.

Staff was pleasant and welcoming. We left too early to try the breakfast (wish it opened before 0730) but they supplied a take away breakfast of sandwiches and fruit. Because it is near airport there was some noise very early of people leaving.

Excelente la atención al cliente, la calidad del lugar y en si, es hermosa la locación, eso si, considera que el transporte público es ineficiente, pasa a cada hora o cada 2 horas y aún asi tendras que caminar unos 10 min bajo conficiones climáticas fuertes, lo mejor seria llegar por medio de la renta de un auto.

The hotel was fantastic. The room was clean and warm and the staff were so friendly and helpful. We had dinner NYE which was superb and breakfast was plentiful. Would defo stay again.

Liked the lighthouse and coastal views! The restaurant here is permanently closed. Beverages are available as well as breakfast but no nightly meal service. Friendly staff and clean facilities.

The best of the "last night hotels" we have tried so far. We liked the location close to the lighthouses and the sea. Not too far from the airport. We had a large comfortable room. The restaurant was really good. We enjoyed dinner and a final walk in Iceland. Breakfast start at 0730 is too late for people with morning flights especially as we have car rental to return first. The takeout option is a sandwich. Only downside of this hotel.

Check-in was easy and the room was large and spacious. The breakfast was easy and convenient and coffee was available in the lobby 24/7. The only negative I have is that it was not advised to made reservations at the restaurant and when we arrived they would not take us but luckily there was one restaurant open in the next town over.

Very convenient location only 15 mins away from KEF airport especially as we had an extremely early departure flight. Also our check in time was much earlier than the listed time and the hotel allowed us early check in which we were very grateful for after a long flight over to Iceland. There is a restaurant on site with amazing food so you don’t have to go very far for dinner.

We visited Iceland several times and had stayed at different hotels. We booked this hotel this time due to its exceptional reviews. Disappointedly, we found it to be totally overpriced and overrated, especially the breakfast which is worse than those at Super 8 motel chains in U.S ! Even those much cheaper hotels nearby had way better food selections. While we didn’t mind having to bus our utensils after eating, kitchen staff could use a little smile and friendliness！The room is dark and amenities are minimal. Although we didn’t see the northern light, the location could be good for it. I would not recommend this hotel.

This is the third time I've stayed here within the last two years and one of my favorite places to stay near the airport which is only about 15 minutes away. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable and the breakfast is very good! Highly recommended!

A very accessible hotel for people with mobility challenges! Large, clean room, nice places to sit, and you can walk to the lighthouse. We were disappointed that the restaurant was closed for remodeling and would probably bring our own pillows next time, but we will certainly stay here again!
